    Lancs 228 & 218-3 f/o v Northants 496

Calvin Harrison will bowl one more before lunch with Josh Bohannon on 98 not out.

He's forward, working the ball leg side for four!

That's his century off 256 balls with 11 fours.

His first ton of the summer, 13th in his career and fourth vs Northants.

  2. 'Notts put themselves out of reach'published at 12:57 British Summer Time 14 April

    Notts 347 & 318-8 (lead by 298)

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

You wonder whether Notts have just put themselves out of reach.

With a lead of 298 you'd think it's enough not to be reached.

Essex still need to get the two wickets, Nottinghamshire will be following up last week's win with a likely draw.

  3. Postpublished at 12:56 British Summer Time 14 April

    Lancs 228 & 214-3 f/o v Northants 496

Josh Bohannon moves to 97 with four runs glanced to fine leg off Rahpy Weatherall.

Justin Broad is into his 10th over of the innings and Marcus Harris leaves the ball outside off.

The third ball is straighter and flicked leg side by Marcus Harris for one.

Bohannon is forward, pushing the ball to square leg for one. 98.

Four runs to Marcus Harris with an edge that drops in front of Ricardo Vasconcelos at slip and runs away to deep third.

  4. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 65.2 overs

    Abell c Alsop b Lamb 96 (Somerset 205-7 & 201 (target 595) v Sussex 294 &501-7d)

That could be it for Somerset as Tom Abell falls four short of his century.

The Somerset man had batted really well to that point for all that he had been dropped twice but that was a poor shot selection trying to guide Danny Lamb wide of the two slips and getting it too fine.

It was a good grab at first slip by Tom Alsop, diving sharply to his left, and it looks likely to be one which hastens defeat for Somerset.

  5. Hutton survives lbw shoutpublished at 102 overs

    Notts 309-8 & 347 (lead 289 runs) v Essex 367

A big six pulled over wide midwicket boundary off Matt Critchley is followed by a loud and prolonged shout for lbw from Essex and particularly the bowler who could well be still appealing at lunch.

Hutton looked a touch nervous after being hit in front of leg stump well back in his crease but David Millns believed the 12 inches or so that it still had to travel would have taken it wide.

Really close and a few boos from the Trent Bridge faithful at the persistence of the shout but he is not out and that is that.

  6. Toby Albert caught behind - off a no ballpublished at 12:50 British Summer Time 14 April

    Hants 115-4 - target 377

Kemar Roach is back on for his second spell of the day and his second ball draws Toby Albert forward to block, edging the ball just wide of second slip.

A low edge to the keeper off a no ball follows and that ball really deviated off the seam.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:50 British Summer Time 14 April

Mousley c Hogg b Potts 0 (Warwickshire 84-4, target 339 to beat Durham)

MATTY POTTS IS ON A HAT-TRICK.

Dan Mousley what are you thinking? He clips straight to Daniel Hogg at mid-on and stares to the heavens seeking.. something.... as Hogg takes the simple catch.

Ed Barnard will face the hat-trick ball... and drives sweetly towards cover.

Potts has given Durham a massive boost on the eve of lunch.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:49 British Summer Time 14 April

Hain c Robinson b Potts 2 (Warwickshire 84-3, target 339 to beat Durham)

    Another big blow from Durham.

Matty Potts returns to the attack and finds the edge of Sam Hain's bat with his first ball, with Ollie Robinson doing the rest behind the timbers.

Dan Mousley is the new man, joining Hamza Shaikh who is 23* but it's the hosts who are now firmly on top.

  9. Postpublished at 12:47 British Summer Time 14 April

    Lancs 228 & 200-3 f/o v Northants 496

Lancashire pass 200 on second innings in 86 overs with a Josh Bohannon off drive for two, facing Raphy Weatherall.

That shot also brings up a 50 partnership with Marcus Harris in 122 balls.

  10. 'Sussex have a load of runs to play with'published at 12:45 British Summer Time 14 April

    Somerset 195-6 - target 595

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

There's a sweeper on the cover boundary now, but it's seems slightly odd given that Sussex have a load of runs to play with.

Surely they will want to get the batsmen working?

  11. Postpublished at 12:45 British Summer Time 14 April

Derbyshire 52-1, target 449 to beat Leicestershire

Caleb Jewell made an attractive 83 in the first innings and has begun brightly again for Derbyshire, making a run-a-ball 27, with Harry Came making six from 33 deliveries at the other end, which gives an insight into the visitors state of mind with the prospect of that monster chase.

They'd need 5.5 an over from here to get there, but expect that number to continue to rise...

  12. 50 runs

50 for Nick Gubbinspublished at 12:45 British Summer Time 14 April

    Hants 112-4 - target 377

Matt Fisher to Nick Gubbins from the Vauxhall End.

Pushed gently to third man and that's 50.

His first half century this season. In fact only Hampshire's second player half century of the season.

    99 balls with six fours.

  13. Postpublished at 12:42 British Summer Time 14 April

    Hants 111-4 - target 377

Jordan Clark has been landing the ball outside off stump and now a straighter ball is whipped away behind square leg by Nick Gubbins for two runs to move to 46.

He'll get three to mid wicket to reach 49.

  14. Hunt injuredpublished at 61 overs

    Somerset 194-6 & 201 (target 595) v Sussex 294 & 501-7d

Essex bowler Sean Hunt was injured on day three

If you are wondering why sub-fielder Harrison Ward (who just dropped Abell) is on the pitch or, for that matter, where Sean Hunt is, the latter picked up an injury late on day three.

That is a shame both for the bowler and Sussex given he was a wicket short of taking 10 in the match and had looked key component if the hosts are to land the win.

  15. Postpublished at 12:39 British Summer Time 14 April

Glamorgan 163-3 - lead Gloucestershire by 2 runs

It's fair to say neither Kiran Carlson (11*) not Colin Ingram (25*) look particularly out there in the middle at cold and gloomy Bristol.

Gloucestershire haven't won at HQ since September 2022 - they are winless in 11 games since then... will they be able to find the seven wickets required to end that run today?

  16. Postpublished at 12:38 British Summer Time 14 April

    Lancs 228 & 196-3 f/o v Northants 496

    Andrew Radd
    BBC Radio Northampton

"Lancashire closing in on that first target of 268 to make sure Northants bat again."

  17. Postpublished at 12:38 British Summer Time 14 April

    Lancs 228 & 196-3 f/o v Northants 496

Marcus Harris picks up his fifth boundary with four runs cut through point off the bowling of Justin Broad.

Runs are flowing a little too easily for the liking of Northants here, who have taken just the one wicket in this session of play - and that was night watchman (or nighthawk if you prefer) Anderson Phillip.

Harris gets another four in the next over, forcing Liam Guthrie though point off the back foot.

Four more runs to Harris, chopping a short ball over gully.

  18. dropped catch

Abell dropped againpublished at 59 overs

    Somerset 183-6 & 201 (target 595) v Sussex 294 &501-7d

Tom Abell has been spilled again, this time on 85.

Tom Clark gave him a life on 65 missing a sharp chance at second slip but that one, off his bowling, has gone down at midwicket and really should have been taken by sub-fielder Harrison Ward.

  19. Postpublished at 12:33 British Summer Time 14 April

    Glamorgan 161-3 - scores level v Gloucestershire

Colin Ingram turns Graeme van Buuren to long-on to bring Glamorgan to parity in this match... though they have a very long way to go before the can relax.

Ingram has 24 and the vital partnership with Kiran Carlson is 39.

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:30 British Summer Time 14 April

    Middleton LBW b Fisher 42 (Hants 104-4 - target 377)

Matt Fisher has looked the most dangerous of the Surrey bowlers this morning and he has the breakthrough.

The ball seams in back of a length and Fletcha Middleton has played around it. Struck on the knee roll in front of middle.

    Toby Albert is in next.
