  1. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:02 British Summer Time 27 April

    Sibley c Lammonby b Aldridge 3 (Surrey 18-1 - target 36)

Well, that came out of nowhere.

Leg stump line from Kasey Alridge and Dom Sibley has tapped that to Tom Lammonby at square leg.

Ollie Pope will try and finish the job with Rory Burns.

  2. Postpublished at 16:01 British Summer Time 27 April

    Surrey 18-0 - target 36

Josh Davey into his second over, bowling to Dom Sibley who goes half forward to glance the ball leg side for one.

Rory Burns is keen to flick to the on side but this next ball is too straight for the shot.

He'll get runs off the next ball, going forward and across to tap into the off side for one.

Davey drifts wide of leg and Sibley picks that off for one behind square.

A short ball is short-arm pulled behind square leg by Burns for four.

Four more whipped through mid wicket on the front foot.

    18 to win.

  3. Postpublished at 15:58 British Summer Time 27 April

Leicestershire 104-6 - target 143 to beat Gloucestershire

39 needed after Logan van Beek rushes back for a second after guiding Ajeet SIngh Dale into the off side.

The bowler almost gets his revenge as van Beek shoulders arms to one which comes back a long way and somehow flashes past of-stump.

The best kind of leave, though the bowler is down on his haunches.

He gets up to beat the outside edge with the final ball of the over.

  4. Postpublished at 15:56 British Summer Time 27 April

    Surrey 7-0 - target 36

Somerset have actually been in this game up to and including lunchtime today.

Surrey have simply torn through them since then, despite a valiant half century from Migael Pretorius.

Dom Sibley is off the mark first ball facing Kasey Aldridge and Rory Burns defends down the ground

Aldridge gets away with a full toss but the next ball is a bit wide and driven to point by Burns for two.

  5. Postpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 27 April

    Surrey 4-0 - target 36

In theory we have 45 overs left today but Surrey will surely only need a fraction of those.

Rory Burns and Surrey get off the mark third ball with one of the Surrey skipper's trademark clips behind square leg off Josh Davey for four.

Burns sees out the over turning the ball to mid on and now Dom Sibley will face Kasey Aldridge.

  6. 'That could be huge'published at 15:51 British Summer Time 27 April

Leicestershire 100-6 - target 143 to beat Gloucestershire

    Richard Rae
    BBC Radio Leicester Sport

That could be huge, Handscomb was steering them to victory.

Singh Dale was looking dejected but that could be huge.

Ben Cox is still out there and he's batting fluently.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 27 April

Handscomb b Singh Dale 26 (Leicestershire 100-6 - target 143 to beat Gloucestershire)

    Game back on.

Ajeet Singh Dale bends his back and produces a big delivery which almost cuts Peter Handscomb in half as it clatters into middle and off.

Big celebrations, the lid comes off the pressure cooker.

What on earth does this game have left for us?

    43 required. Four wickets.

Logan van Beek joins the well-set Ben Cox on 36*.

  8. Surrey chase begins at the Ovalpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 27 April

    Surrey 0-0 - target 36

This game turned on its head in the blink of an eye when Somerset lost four wickets for eight runs after lunch.

Woe betide anybody that got back to their seat a few minutes late after luncheon.

Migael Pretorius (54 off 45 balls) was the mainstay to avoid the innings defeat, but this target is no marathon.

Surrey captain Rory Burns and his regular opening partner Dom Sibley to start the chase.

Josh Davey will bowl to Burns.

  9. Postpublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 27 April

Leicestershire 98-5 - target 143 to beat Gloucestershire

Peter Handscomb spins in a sixpence and pulls Ajeet Singh Dale's shorter ball through square leg to the rope. 45 required.

Gloucestershire need to find an answer to these two.

  10. Postpublished at 15:45 British Summer Time 27 April

Leicestershire 94-5 - target 143 to beat Gloucestershire

Ben Cox carves Dom Goodman away to the rope past point, his fifth boundary, to move to 34* and bring up the 50 partnership with Peter Handscomb.

The ask is also less than 50 now...

  11. Tea at Derbypublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 27 April

    Derbys 472 v Middx 283-7

Middlesex trail by 189 with three wickets at tea with plenty of work to do if they are to avoid a significant first innings deficit.

  12. Postpublished at 15:42 British Summer Time 27 April

Leicestershire 89-5 - target 143 to beat Gloucestershire

Ben Cox has moved to 30* with by far the most assured knock on a day which has seen 13 wickets fall, and it feels like the momentum has swung firmly back towards the leaders.

One wicket would change that, of course...

Still more than 10 overs remaining until tea. This could be done by then.

  13. 'A job very efficiently done'published at 15:34 British Summer Time 27 April

    Surrey 367 v Somerset 283 & 119

    Dean Wilson
    BBC Radio London summariser

    Caught at first-slip Comfortably.

    James Taylor finishes with 2-29.

With the three slips in there, they knew something was going to happen.

A job very efficiently done by the Surrey bowlers.

  14. Postpublished at 15:33 British Summer Time 27 April

Leicestershire 84-5 - target 143 to beat Gloucestershire

Ben Cox almost pops Ajeet Singh Dale straight back to the bowler as the quicker bowler replaces Josh Shaw.

It just fell a couple of feet out of reach.

Cox recovers to cut away a wide one from Singh Dale to the rope.

Cos and Handscomb have added 42 after coming together at 42-5.

    59 required.

The Shire need to break this stand, soon...

  15. SOMERSET ALL OUT FOR 119 AND SURREY NEED 36published at 15:31 British Summer Time 27 April

    Surrey 367 v Somerset 283 & 119-9

Brilliant fielding from Surrey and the bowling attack has barely let up for the whole game.

The tea interval will be taken now and Surrey begin a small chase in 20 minutes.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:29 British Summer Time 27 April

    Leach c Sibley Surrey 367 v Somerset 283 & 119-9

35 ahead and realistically this is the final Somerset wicket in hand given the injury to Sean Dickson.

Jack Leach swings and misses James Taylor outside off.

Taylor bangs the ball in short and wide and Leach has nicked it!

Caught behind by Dom Sibley at first slip.

Sean Dickson will not bat and Surrey need 36 to win.

  17. NOTTS BEAT SUSSEX BY NINE WICKETSpublished at 15:28 British Summer Time 27 April
    Breaking

    Notts 300 & 148-1 v Sussex 169 & 278

Haseeb Hameed walks off unbeaten on 62 alongside Ben Duckett who really enjoyed himself racing to 59 in 31 balls.

It is a second win of the season for Notts who maintain their position at the top of Division One.

Sussex lost this match in a first innings in which Josh Tongue (5-44) and Brett Hutton (4-53) wreaked havoc.

It was clearly a good toss to win but there was something in this pitch for everyone with batting relatively comfortable on this third and final day.

John Simpson and Jack Carson, with an 87-run partnership for the eighth wicket, showed what was possible.

Notts were never in any danger in their chase with Hameed and Duckett bringing home a 21 points win.

For Sussex this was a first defeat of the season following their promotion back to the top flight but there are plenty of reasons to be hopeful they will stay in the first division.

  18. Postpublished at 15:26 British Summer Time 27 April

Leicestershire 79-5 - target 143 to beat Gloucestershire

No surprise to see Dom Goodman reintroduced into the attack.

Another leg-side clip from Ben Cox off Josh Shaw found the rope to end the previous over and took Cox to 20* and reduce the ask to 70.

That's now 64 as Goodman struggles with his line allowing Peter Handscomb to pick up his first boundary to reach 18.

You'd imagine Ajeet SIngh Dale might be back next too.

  19. Postpublished at 15:25 British Summer Time 27 April

    Surrey 367 v Somerset 283 & 119-8

Ben Foakes had to go for that catch. The lone slipper was too wide to take it and goodness me, that's a stunning display of keeping.

A slip and a leg slip in for Dan Lawrence, bowling to Jack Leach.

Leach is off the mark with a deflection to square leg going forward.

  20. 'A quite brilliant moment'published at 15:22 British Summer Time 27 April

    Surrey 367 v Somerset 283 & 117-8

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

A brilliant catch from Ben Foakes, he somehow managed to get a glove under it.

Pretorious' innings is ended by a quite brilliant moment.

Well batted by him, 54 he made from 45 deliveries, but a stunning catch.
