    Somerset 670-7 dec v Worcs 154 & 232-4

Tom Lammonby on for a bowl as Somerset skipper Lewis Gregory attempts to try something a little different.

Not a great start as he opens with a no-ball and then two leg byes.

Jack Leach is into his 27th over and is denied a seventh maiden as Adam Hose pushes down the ground and scampers a single. He makes it home despite a direct hit.

  2. Postpublished at 16:59 British Summer Time 6 April

    Hants 129-4 - target 148

    What happened there?

Dom Bess finds both bounce and turn bowling round the wicket but the ball is well out of the reach of James Wharton at short leg.

Bess then overpitches outside off stump and Tom Prest pounds it away for four before despatching a full toss in similar fashion next up as he advances to 46 not out.

  3. Postpublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 6 April

    Essex 582-6d v Surrey 334-8

A Simon Harmer delivery goes straight through the defences of James Taylor and past Michael Pepper for four byes.

Heads in hands from the close fielders and a glance to the skies from the bowler.

    Surrey surviving.

  4. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 6 April

    Hants 118-4 - target 148

A third chance goes begging as Tom Prest swings Dom Bess away and the chance is put down at backward square leg.

It was pretty much straight to the fielder and should have been taken.

By the way, Ben Cliff is not out there in the field for Yorkshire, presumably an injury, but despite being one bowler short, they have created enough opportunities to have made this a tighter finish.

  5. 50 runs

50 for Brett D'Oliveirapublished at 16:52 British Summer Time 6 April

    Somerset 670-7 dec v Worcs 154 & 223-4

Brett D'Oliveira swivels and turns Lewis Gregory down towards the fine leg boundary.

It's hauled in, but the throw beats Somerset wicketkeeper James Rew and pings all the way across to the cover boundary.

They run through for two and the four buzzers bring up D'Oliveira's 24th half-century in red-ball cricket.

A strange way to reach the landmark - off 93 balls - but it's been a really good knock in the curcumstances.

    Hants 114-4 - target 148

Too full from Ben Coad and Tom Prest square drives for four.

The youngster is pretty good off the back foot too and a second boundary of the over brings it to an end.

He is now 33 not out - 34 more needed.

  7. Foxes poised for 'convincing victory'published at 16:47 British Summer Time 6 April

    Glamorgan 229 & 167-7 v Leics 427

    Nick Webb
    BBC Radio Wales

Leicestershire look set to wrap up a convincing victory inside three days in the Cardiff sunshine thanks to a fine performance from the seamers.

Ian Holland led the way with three cheap wickets as Glamorgan struggled with a first innings deficit of 198, while Ben Green also bowled tidily for two afternoon victims.

Kiran Carlson has been the only batter to impress, reaching his half-century with a spectacular upper-cut six while five other top-order men managed just 16 between them.

The only downside for the Foxes has been Chris Wright limping off, to add to Rishi Patel’s dislocated thumb, which means a specialist medical check on Wednesday.

  8. Durham reply under way at Trent Bridgepublished at 16:46 British Summer Time 6 April

    Notts 579 v Durham 378 & 3-0

Durham have begun their attempt to cut swathes into Notts' first innings lead of 201 as the evening session begins.

Dillon Pennington gets us under way and Alex Lees gets the scoreboard ticking with a single off the first ball.

Ben McKinney plays out the rest of Pennington's over, but Lees picks up a couple as Fergus O'Neill opens from the Radcliffe Road End.

  9. Postpublished at 16:45 British Summer Time 6 April

    Hants 106-4 - target 148

Are Hampshire now cantering towards the finishing post like Julie Andrews and Dick van Dyke in the animated Mary Poppins racecourse sequence?

Tom Prest pulls Dom Bess for four when the spinner drops fractionally short of a length.

Liam Dawson fails to smother a well-flighted ball later in the over but the ball flies out of the reach of short leg and he takes one.

  10. 'Coad is keeping a tight line'published at 16:45 British Summer Time 6 April

    Hants 105-4 - target 43

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

Accurate stuff here from Ben Coad, just keeping a nice tight line. Every now and then he just bowls one a little straighter expecting the ball to perhaps do a little more off the pitch.

  11. Postpublished at 16:41 British Summer Time 6 April

    Warks 454 v Sussex 528 & 33-0

Ed Barnard has a big shout for LBW against Dan Hughes but bowling right-arm around the wicket to a left-hander is asking a lot, in fact it's asking too much - not out.

    Sussex lead by 107 runs.

  12. Latest from Cardiffpublished at 16:40 British Summer Time 6 April

    Glamorgan 229 & 165-7 v Leics 427

Just two overs bowled since tea at Sophia Gardens.

Glamorgan have added three runs to their total and are now just 33 runs away from clearing the deficit.

Kiran Carlson is 79 not out.

  13. 100 runs

    100 partnershippublished at 65.1 overs

    Somerset 670-7 dec v Worcs 154 & 216-4

Worcestershire are showing plenty of fight here as they battle on.

Adam Hose cracks Lewis Gregory square for his ninth boundary and two balls later guides the Somerset skipper down to third man for four more. He goes to 60.

Josh Davey then concedes just the single before a Brett D'Oliveira single off Gregory's next over takes the fifth-wicket partnership to three figures, off 163 balls.

  14. 100 runs

for Max Holdenpublished at 16:36 British Summer Time 6 April

    Middx 260 & 198-4 v Lancs 359

He may feel he missed out in the first innings, but not this time.

Max Holden reaches his sixth first-class hundred from 193 balls with a boundary off Ollie Sutton.

A single follows and the Middlesex lead is exactly 100 with six wickets standing.

  15. Postpublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 6 April

    Hants 96-4 - target 148

Liam Dawson is clearly determined to keep the scoreboard moving. He chips Ben Coad down the ground and runs through for three more as Jack White makes a sprawling stop just inside the rope.

  16. Postpublished at 16:32 British Summer Time 6 April

    Hants 93-4 - target 148

Liam Dawson was rather reaching for that one, but makes solid enough contact to the first ball of a new Ben Coad over to find the third-man boundary.

  17. Postpublished at 16:29 British Summer Time 6 April

    Hants 89-4 - target 148

Liam Dawson is down the track to Dom Bess' second delivery after tea. Great work by Finlay Bean prevents a boundary, but Dawson is off the mark with three.

  18. Postpublished at 16:29 British Summer Time 6 April

    Warks 454 v Sussex 528 & 23-0

Ethan Bamber thinks he's got Dan Hughes caught behind and so does wicketkeeper Kai Smith and the Warwickshire slip fielders.

    Umpire Jack Shantry doesn't agree.

  19. 'That total just seems to get bigger'published at 16:28 British Summer Time 6 April

    Hants 86-4 - target 62

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

Each wicket that falls, that total just seems to get bigger.

Liam Dawson needs a cool head now.

  20. Postpublished at 16:27 British Summer Time 6 April

    Essex 582-6d v Surrey 313-8

James Taylor eases a Matt Critchley delivery away for four runs.

It just reminds us this is still a very good pitch.
