Lyndon James takes a single off the final ball of Colin Ackermann's over to move to 99 and keep the strike.

He squirts an outside edge off Will Rhodes' first ball past wicketkeeper Ollie Robinson and down to the third man boundary to bring up his fifth first-class ton.

He's batted really well today, particularly this morning, bringing up his century off 135 balls with 14 fours.

And that's it's his third century against Durham.

  2. 'No demons' for Pearspublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 6 April

    Somerset 670-7 dec v Worcs 154 & 191-4 - tea

    Frank Watson
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

Good knocks from Ethan Brookes and Kashif Ali but both will be disappointed by their dismissals to Jack Leach.

Adam Hose has shown excellent application in compiling an unbeaten 51 and has been well supported by Brett D’Oliveira (27*) in a partnership of 75 so far.

Some turn but no demons in the pitch. The Pears need to keep batting and batting….

  3. 'Tongue hit some sparkling fours'published at 15:50 British Summer Time 6 April

    Notts 542-9 v Durham 378

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

Josh Tongue was at the crease for an hour and a half, I'm not sure he'll have batted for that long on too many occasions.

He faced 97 balls and he hit nine fours and many of them sparkling fours as well.

It's a second wicket for Will Rhodes and it just looked out.

  4. 300 runs

300 up for Surreypublished at 15:50 British Summer Time 6 April

    Essex 582-6d v Surrey 305-7

A second batting bonus point for Surrey.

Ben Foakes has 66 and Matthew Fisher is giving great support on 30 and they now have a 50 partnership.

Ollie Robinson is back on the field and holds onto a steepling catch in the deep to remove Michael Booth.

The players will also take tea.

  6. Postpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 6 April

    Hants 69-3 - target 148

    A missed stumping.

Tom Prest tries to get down the track to Dom Bess, misses with a hoick towards mid-wicket but the England wicketkeeper can't take the ball cleanly and the chance goes begging.

  7. Tea at Tauntonpublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 6 April

    Somerset 670-7 dec v Worcs 154 & 191-4

It may be futile, but it's brave resistance from the Pears who could quite easily have subsided after a difficult few days.

Adam Hose (51*) and Brett D'Oliveira (27) have taken the visitors to 191-4 at the interval.

Somerset need six wickets, while Worcestershire need 325 more runs just to make the hosts bat a second time.

  8. Postpublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 6 April

    Derbys 65-1 - target 91

Will we get a tea interval at Derby?

Caleb Jewell hits Ollie Price for four to move to 41 not out from 35 balls and only 26 more are needed by the home side.

  9. 450 up for Warwickshirepublished at 15:45 British Summer Time 6 April

Too late for another batting point but Vishwa Fernando connects with one off James Coles and it's four runs.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:43 British Summer Time 6 April

    Tongue lbw b Rhodes 55 (Notts 533-9 v Durham 378)

    Josh Tongue's fun is over.

A good length ball from Will Rhodes skids on a little and keeps low, thudding into Tongue's front pad.

The ninth wicket falls on the verge of tea and that will push the interval back a little.

Dillon Pennington joins Lyndon James who has 94.

  11. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 15:42 British Summer Time 6 April

    Warks 447-9 v Sussex 528

Vishwa Fernando is missed twice - wicketkeeper John Simpson tips to first slip who also can't hold on.

The way the Sri Lankan is batting one suspects it may not be too costly...

  12. 50 runs

50 for Adam Hosepublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 6 April

    Somerset 670-7 dec v Worcs 154 & 191-4

Adam Hose punches a delivery from Archie Vaughan into the offside and jogs through for a single which brings up a 12th first-class fifty.

Its; come off 68 balls, with eight fours and a six.

He's the second Pears batter to reach the milestone in this innings.

It may well be in a losing cause here, but nonethless, useful time in the middle for future battles.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 6 April

    van der Gugten c Cox b Mike 9 (Glamorgan 229 & 135-7 v Leics 427)

Leicestershire move another step closer to victory at Sophia Gardens as Timm van der Gugten tries to flick Ben Mike away and is taken down the leg-side by the keeper.

Kiran Carlson remains on 69 not out but he is running out of partners now and Glamorgan are still 63 behind.

  14. Nottinghamshire lead passes 150published at 15:39 British Summer Time 6 April

    Notts 531-8 v Durham 378

Durham turn to the slow stuff of Colin Ackermann to deliver something different before tea.

It almost does the trick four balls in as he beats Josh Tongue. But it misses everything and nutmegs wicketkeeper Ollie Robinson on its way to the boundary.

Four leg byes take the Notts lead to 150.

  15. 'Nice cover drives' by Tonguepublished at 15:39 British Summer Time 6 April

    Notts 528-8 v Durham 378

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Josh Tongue has made 50 on his long-overdue Notts debut.

He agreed to join them at the end of 2023 but then got injured on England duty and missed last season. He's played some nice cover drives and got there in 81 balls, with eight fours.

Durham are struggling to make any inroads with the ball this afternoon, after Matthew Potts took two in two earlier in the session.

Tongue has also put on 91 for the ninth wicket with Lyndon James, who averaged 92 against Durham when he entered the field earlier today. He now has 91.

    Another one gone.

Toby Albert pushes forward outside off stump and that is an easy catch for Jonny Bairstow.

A deserved second wicket for Jack White, who has been plugging away impressively - 2-23 are his current figures.

  17. 'Yorkshire have worked hard'published at 15:35 British Summer Time 6 April

    Hants 59-2 - target 89

    Jonathan Doidge
    BBC Radio Leeds cricket commentator

I don't think there was much for Nick Gubbins to complain about with that particular call.

At this point you really do wish, if you're out there fielding, that you picked up those two chances that had already been offered as well.

You just keep pressing on. Yorkshire have worked hard.

  18. Postpublished at 15:34 British Summer Time 6 April

    Essex 582-6d v Surrey 295-7

Matthew Fisher pings Noah Thain to the cover boundary to move to 22 not out.

He and Ben Foakes have added 44 runs for the eighth wicket.

It is still tough work for the bowlers.

  19. Division Two updatepublished at 15:32 British Summer Time 6 April

Tom Aspinwall was Lancashire's leading wicket-taker in the Middlesex first innings but he's still waiting for his first one today. Max Holden hits the last ball of his latest over for four and is 74 not out, with the home side 48 in front.

Kiran Carlson is still going well for Glamorgan on 69 not out against Leicestershire - they are 133-6, now 65 behind.

  20. 50 runs

    Notts 518-8 v Durham 378

Josh Tongue takes a single off the final ball of George Drissell's 36th over to move to 49 and keep the strike.

He then clips Matthew Potts into the legside to bring up a maiden first-class half-century.

He's got there at a good lick, off 81 balls, with eight fours as Nottinghamshire continue to punish a wearying Durham attack.

The lead has grown to 140.
