  1. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 14.2 overs

    Shaikh b Hogg 0 (Durham 387 v Warwicks 61-2)

This has been a great comeback by Daniel Hogg, who bowls Hamza Shaikh with a beauty in the final over before lunch, knocking out his middle stump.

Two wickets in successive overs for the blonde paceman and suddenly Warwickshire's lunchtime sandwiches won't taste quite as good.

  2. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 45.5 overs

    Pretorius c Simpson b Hunt 6 (Somerset 201-9 v Sussex 294)

One brings two and Somerset are nine down all of a sudden.

  3. Harrison on the attackpublished at 12:52 British Summer Time 12 April

    Lancs v Northants 447-7

Calvin Harrison goes on to the back foot to muscle Tom Hartley over long on for four and he holds the pose to loft a drive from the crease for four more, again over long on.

He pushes a single into the on side to keep the strike and has four more runs off Luke Wells, swiping an off side ball high over mid on.

  4. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 13 overs

    Davies c Gay b Hogg 38 (Durham 387 v Warwicks 57-1)

A much needed breakthrough by Durham.

Having come in for some rough treatment, Daniel Hogg overpitches and Alex Davies drives.

The Warwickshire opener doesn't get his knee over the top of it, though, and Emilio Gay pulls in a good catch at cover.

  5. 50 runs

partnership for Warwickshirepublished at 12.4 overs

    Durham 387 v Warwicks 53-0

Daniel Hogg isn't quick enough to bowl there.

Alex Davies slashes through the covers for four to bring up a 50 stand with Rob Yates and does it again next ball.

An appeal for lbw by Hogg follows but we think there was a little inside edge there.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:46 British Summer Time 12 April

    Albert c Lawrence b Clark 1 (Surrey 253 v Hants 90-4)

Toby Albert is caughtImage source, Rex Features

Great delivery from Jordan Clark and now Toby Albert has gone.

Pitching on off stump, nibbling away off the seam and brushing the outside edge of a defensive bat as Albert nudges forward.

Dan Lawrence crouches slightly to take it at third slip.

    Liam Dawson to bat next.

  7. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 43.4 overs

    Gregory c Seales b Hunt 36 (Somerset 189-8 v Sussex 294)

Ooh is this a momentum changer?

It had all been going the way of Somerset in the past hour but Lewis Gregory perhaps goes for one shot too many and mistimes one to Jayden Seales at mid-on.

Sean Hunt has taken all three wickets to fall in this session.

James Rew looks very well set and needs the likes of Migael Pretorius to stay out there with him.

  8. Division Two updatepublished at 12:42 British Summer Time 12 April

    #bbccricket

A second for Kent's Nathan Gilchrist, who has Max Holden caught by skipper Daniel Bell-Drummond, and Middlesex are 18-2, leading by 22 in their second innings at Canterbury. Set up to be a thriller.

Wayne Madsen (17*) and Caleb Jewell (12*) are steadying the Derbyshire ship after falling to 7-2 in reply to Leicestershire's 484. They are 35-2 now.

Ned Leonard has a third wicket for Glamorgan, ousting Chris Dent for 27, but Gloucestershire are 474-7 at Bristol.

  9. Postpublished at 11 overs

    Durham 387 v Warwicks 45-0

Searching for a full length, Daniel Hogg overdoes it and Alex Davies punches his low full toss past mid-on for four.

It proves to be an expensive over as Davies pulls a short one to the mid-wicket boundary and ends it with an expansive cover drive, which again reaches the rope.

  10. 100 partnershippublished at 12:40 British Summer Time 12 April

    Sussex 294 v Somerset 178-7

The runs are flowing like wine at a vineyard open day now.

James Rew has an almost a run-a-ball 73 from 74 deliveries and has been showing off the wide range of shots in his locker.

He's played some absolutely beautiful strokes and found the boundary regularly.

Lewis Gregory has been a great foil at the other end and this has been a wonderful comeback from Somerset.

  11. Postpublished at 12:38 British Summer Time 12 April

    Lancs v Northants 425-7

Calvin Harrison moves into double figures with four runs driven over extra cover off Luke Wells.

He looks too good to be a number nine.

There's not much turn in evidence on this pitch but Wells and Tom Hartley have still kept the run rate below three an over the last 40 minutes or so.

  12. Postpublished at 12:38 British Summer Time 12 April

    Durham 387 v Warwicks 33-0

It is finally Brendan Doggett time at the Riverside. But how big is his bite?

The Australian generates a fair bit of zip in an opening over which sees no addition by the Warwickshire openers.

  13. 'These two have turned the game on its head'published at 12:36 British Summer Time 12 April

    Sussex 294 v Somerset 169-7

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

They're not going to get tied down here, James Rew and Lewis Gregory.

These two came together at 79-7 so that's a partnership of 90, and it's come very quickly.

These two have turned the game on its head. It's absorbing cricket here at Hove.

  14. 50 runs

stand for Worcestershirepublished at 13.1 overs

    Yorks 456 v Worcs 51-0

Jake Libby steers Ben Coad away square at the start of a new over and he and Gareth Roderick collect three runs to post a 50 stand from 80 balls. Solid start by the Pears pair, or should that be the pair of Pears? A pear-plexing choice.

  15. Postpublished at 12 overs

    Yorks 456 v Worcs 48-0

Short of a length and outside off stump is not the place to bowl to Jake Libby.

The Worcestershire opener loves them there - just like Yorkshire legend Geoff Boycott used to - and unerringly puts Ben Coad away for four.

  16. Postpublished at 12:32 British Summer Time 12 April

    Surrey 253 v Hants 86-3

For all the patience and resolve we've seen from Hampshire, the easing of pressure simply hasn't happened.

Toby Albert and Tom Prest are both yet to score as Dan Worrall and Jordan Clark repeatedly beat the bat outside off stump.

Albert nearly gets his first runs driving down the ground but is stopped by Rory Burns.

Four maiden overs on the trot for Surrey.

  17. Postpublished at 8.4 overs

    Durham 387 v Warwicks 32-0

First change by Durham as Daniel Hogg is thrown the ball.

An edge by Rob Yates fails to carry to the slips and the left-hander then off-drives for four to make the young bowler feel even worse.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 9.2 overs

    Allison lbw O'Neill (Essex 22-1 v Notts 347)

    Notts celebrateImage source, Rex Features

Fergus O'Neill makes the first breakthrough for Notts!

He has pinned Charlie Allison lbw, with the Essex opener departing for 11 from 31 balls.

Skipper Tom Westley joins Paul Walter in the middle.

  19. Division Two updatepublished at 12:27 British Summer Time 12 April

    #bbccricket

Nathan Gilchrist has an early breakthrough for Kent, trapping Nathan Fernandes infront for one.

Middlesex are 8-1, a lead of 12, at Canterbury.

Harry Came has followed David Lloyd back to the hutch for Derbyshire who are 14-2 at Grace Road in reply to Leicestershire's whopping 484.

Graeme van Buuren and Chris Dent have guided Gloucestershire to 450-6 against Glamorgan at Bristol.

  20. Postpublished at 12:26 British Summer Time 12 April

    Lancs v Northants 418-7

Lancashire have turned to the spin of Luke Wells.

Lewis McManus works the bowler leg side for one to reach 69.

He gets a single off Tom Hartley at the other end.

Calvin Harrison drives firmly to the on side without clearing mid on.
