    Somerset 284 & 360-5 v Warwickshire 412 & 281-8 dec

Olly Hannon-Dalby's first over with the new ball goes for just four runs but yields no wicket.

It might have been a painful one with his last ball too as the ball is struck back towards his legs as he finished running in.

He looks ok and Chris Woakes will now have a crack with the new cherry.

  2. WICKET Northeast c Bracey b Taylor 187published at 17:46 3 July

    Gloucestershire v Glamorgan 544-8 - Target 593

    OH NO!

The wicket Gloucestershire have wanted for hours.

Coming round the wicket, Matt Taylor gets Sam Northeast driving loosely and the edge is pouched by wicketkeeper James Bracey.

Was Northeast unnerved by that ball before?

The Glamorgan captain departs for a brilliant 187 off 277 balls, but he cannot guide his team to this record 593 chase.

  3. Postpublished at 17:45 3 July

    Hampshire 111-3 - target 179 v Kent

Nathan Gilchrist's latest over goes for 12, including a couple of overthrows.

After that absolutely crazy five minutes with rain and wickets falling, normality has returned and Hampshire seem to be moving inexorably towards their target.

  4. Glamorgan need less than 50published at 17:45 3 July

    Gloucestershire v Glamorgan 544-8 - Target 593

Marchant de Lange looks a little weary in between balls, but he gives up just a single to Sam Northeast off his over.

Matt Taylor returns and Northeast edges it just beyond the reach of wicketkeeper James Bracey.

They pick up two and the target is less than 50.

    Somerset 284 & 356-5 v Warwickshire 412 & 281-8 dec

  6. 350 up for Somersetpublished at 17:41 3 July

    Somerset 284 & 351-5 v Warwickshire 412 & 281-8 dec

Tom Abell and James Rew's partnership is worth 50 and they seem happy to take singles from here - that's until the former hits Chris Woakes for four.

Warwickshire look a little deflated now, as if their chance to win this game has gone.

    But, it's not over yet.

  8. Ice cool Northeastpublished at 17:36 3 July

    Gloucestershire v Glamorgan 541-7 - Target 593

Sam Northeast really is in his own bubble.

An effortless straight drive off Ajeet Singh Dale gets him four more. He then takes a comfortable single off the next ball.

He looks in no trouble from the bowling, the weather, the pitch, the situation, you name it.

    Ice cool.

  9. WICKET Middleton b Parkinson 39published at 17:36 3 July

    Hampshire 92-3 - target 179 v Kent

39 from 33 balls but Fletcha Middleton has been bowled by Matt Parkinson out of the rough.

    This match is extraordinary.

Nick Gubbins is scoreless from three balls and is joined by Liam Dawson in the middle, promoted up the order.

Kent could not have asked for much more here.

The clouds to our left are providing an added element because the radar suggests that they are going to come over and they are going to rain.

  13. Tense!published at 17:33 3 July

    Gloucestershire v Glamorgan 536-7 - Target 593

The tension is getting to everyone!

Marchant de Lange steams in, Mason Crane pokes at it and gets nothing on it.

But it dips sharply in front of wicketkeeper James Bracey and he can't stop it and the ball races away for four byes.

Very welcome for Glamorgan - now only 57 runs needed with three wickets left.

    Hampshire 92-2 - target 179 v Kent

    The umpires are coming back.

The hover cover is coming off.

    The sun is coming out.

    It's all happening.

We now appear ready to get going again!

  16. Rain stops play at Southamptonpublished at 17:28 3 July

    Hampshire 92-2 - target 179 v Kent

Oh my. This is just a shower, but it will eat into Hampshire's overs.

The required rate was five or so an over thanks to their thunderous start.

The umpires are walking off as the hover cover comes on.

More great drama, brought to you by the BBC.

James Rew finds the boundary again - it bounces once before hopping over the rope.

They need 70 runs from 81 balls as it stands - with five wickets still in hand.

    Warwickshire need do something here.

There was a bit of chat about rain - let's hope we don't need to factor that into the mix too!
