    West Indies skipper Shai Hope: "We're going to bowl first because of the overhead which we will utitlise as best we can. Conditions can change if it gets a bit wet as well so better to be on the batting side at the end.

    "From the Sri Lanka series we are looking to be better in general. I think if we look at all three departments we can always improve. First We have to adapt in these conditions.

    "We're at home and see what's happening here. Sri Lanka it's a whole different story. If we adapt quickly, start well and then finish even better. We have to make sure we cover our bases here and but there's always a bigger picture which is 2027 and build to that, understand what we have to do to get there."
