England will also be thinking about how long they need to bowl South Africa out and also possibly about the weather.

I enjoy watching a combination like these two running between the wickets - Danni Wyatt-Hodge is rapid whereas Heather Knight has a history of run-outs.

There have been quite a few byes and leg-byes given away by South Africa this morning which will add to their frustration.

Chloe Tryon can be brought on as a golden arm, but she does concede a lot of runs.

A bit of a freebie first up from Chloe Tryon for Danni Wyatt-Hodge, who sweeps a full toss behind square for four.

The minimum that England will be looking for in terms of a lead is 300.

The problem with this sort of situation is they'll want to score quickly but won't want to get into a pickle and suddenly be expose their middle and lower order.

The balance is so hard to strike.

  10. Eng 112-3published at 37 overs

A good comeback from Nonkululeko Mlaba, who lost her head in the deliveries which followed that drop earlier. Danni Wyatt-Hodge is the new batter for England.

There'll be a thought in the South Africa minds that if they can rattle through England, they could win this game, given the short boundaries and fast outfield.

That's relief for Mlaba and Jafta, who was circumspect with the high fives in the team huddle. Nat Sciver-Brunt has not been as fluent as she was in the first innings but South Africa bowled well to her, and bowled straighter to her.

    Chopped on!

A bit of a nothing shot from Nat Sciver-Brunt to a delivery from Nonkululeko Mlaba. Sciver-Brunt attempts to cut, but the ball keeps low and she ends up dragging it on to her stumps.

Mlaba, and wicketkeeper Sinalo Jafta, will be mightily relieved after Sciver-Brunt was dropped earlier.

England are starting to find runs are easier to come by now. Knight has looked in good touch and in control in this innings.

These appeals hint at some desperation from South Africa now.

Nat Sciver-Brunt sweeps Nonkululeko Mlaba for four then attempts to repeat the feat later in the over, but is struck on her knee low down.

There's an appeal from Mlaba but more in hope than anything else. Turned down.

Another way of looking at the dropped catch is that Nat Sciver-Brunt was unlucky to be run-out at the non-striker's end in the first innings, so has this evened it out?

Chloe Tryon strays on to the legs of Heather Knight and is duly punished. England are building a substantial lead here.
