    The keeper James Bracey is standing up to Tom Price as Max Holden defends into the off side.

    Middlesex rallied after the loss of Sam Robson to the first ball of the match, thanks in the main to a fluent innings of 42 from Mark Stoneman before he skied a catch to Bracey.

    Holden remains unbeaten on 35.

    The Foxes are trying to hit their way out of embarrassment.

    Tom Scriven launches Matt Fisher over mid-off for four before a sweeter strike straight over Jordan Thompson's head.

    Ben Cox stepped across his stumps and swept Ben Coad off a top edge all the way for six before cutting Thompson for four and forcing him off the back foot through gully.

    Rob Keogh is off the mark in style with an immaculate front-footed straight drive down the ground off Martin Andersson.

    A good sighting of the bat maker's name there.

    Northants remain in a precarious position though and can't afford to lose another wicket in this session of play.
