    That's great cricket all round.

It is a good bouncer from Hannah Rowe, around head height. But Maia Bouchier rides it, gets on top of the ball and hits it hard and over the fielder.

  3. 6 runs

    Eng 22-1published at 5 overs

    Off we go, Maia!

The England opener hooks away Hannah Rowe's penultimate delivery for the game's first six.

Rowe responds well with her final delivery, Bouchier can only knock the ball to the point fielder.

    Here's the Beaumont dismissal.

Surely you review that? Maybe she thought she was further across her stumps?

  5. Eng 12-1published at 4 overs

    Target 212

Maiden over for Molly Penfold, as Heather Knight can't get her away.

The required run-rate, by the way, currently stands at 5.28 an over. Do-able.

It's baffling that Beaumont immediately turned around and just walked off. Could she not have asked Bouchier at the other end for an opinion? Perhaps she's booked on an early train home.

Maia Bouchier puts a huge amount of pressure on herself and that can be her downfall at times.

But, hopefully now she's got that first century, she can get that monkey off her back, put it to bed, and show good she is and what she can do.

  8. Eng 12-1published at 3 overs

Still not boundaries, but a better over for England with eight coming off it.

A slightly nervy moment for Heather Knight as a leading edge pops up invitingly, but it runs away for three down the ground.

Molly Penfold has the ball at the other end for New Zealand. Just three runs from the over, it's a cautious start from England.

Maia Bouchier picks up her first run of the innings - she scored her maiden international century on Sunday, why not another?

That is just the second time that Tammy Beaumont has been out without scoring having faced the first ball of the innings.

The other occasion was against New Zealand in Wellington earlier in the year.

  11. Eng 1-1published at 1 over

Oh yes, she should have reviewed!

Impact umpire's call, passing clear of the leg stump. If Beaumont had reviewed she'd have been successful - baffling that she didn't.

Nothing she can do now, Heather Knight has come to the crease and gets England's first run with a knock into the leg side.

That is a cracking start from Hannah Rowe. There is just a little bit of shape.

It is the perfect start from New Zealand, they have been able to put pressure on from ball one.

  13. wicket

    Beaumont lbw b Rowe 0 (Eng 0-1)

It won't cost them at all!

Beaumont is struck on the front pad trying to work the ball into the leg side, the umpire's finger goes up and the England opener walks without reviewing.

That looked like it was heading down leg?

  14. dropped catch

Beaumont dropped on 0published at 0.1 overs

Tammy Beaumont almost goes first ball of the innings!

She chases an out-swinger from Hannah Rowe, offering up the edge behind the stumps.

Izzy Gaze dives to the right to take the catch, seems to take hold but the ball bounces out of her gloves as she hits the deck.

How much could that cost New Zealand?

If New Zealand can take a couple of wickets they will be into players who haven't had a bat in this series yet.

Players like Alice Capsey and Sophia Dunkley don't have their place secured in the side either so pressure will be on them if they come in earlier than they would like.

I'm going to say this will be enough for New Zealand.

    The teams are back out.

The England opening pair of Maia Bouchier and Tammy Beaumont made opening wicket stands of 137 and 73 in the first two ODIs.

Can they build a similar platform today?

This total is a little bit below par and England will be confident they can chase this down, but it gives New Zealand something to bowl at for the first time in this series.

  18. Postpublished at 17:48 British Summer Time 3 July

    Thanks Tom.

England had to chase 157 and 142 in the first two ODIs, so this chase of 212 presents a bit more of a challenge.

But their batters will believe they're up to the challenge.

  19. Postpublished at 17:42 British Summer Time 3 July

So England need 212 to win from 42 overs to complete a series clean sweep.

You would think that should be fairly straightforward given the power in England's batting line-up, but a few early wickets could make things interesting.

Here to guide you through the start of the chase is Mike Peter.

New Zealand once again lost wickets in clusters, losing four for 27 towards the end of their innings.
