England captain Heather Knight: "I'm really happy. We were put under pressure today. We had to find a way to claw back momentum and we did that brilliantly.

"The partnership between Nat (Sciver-Brunt) and Amy (Jones), the experience they showed to get us out of a tricky spot was really pleasing."

On Alice Capsey: "I thought she was outstanding today. She was really good with the ball as well. She controlled her line and length. So a really good day."

On strength of England's bowling attack: "It is lovely to have that attack. To see (Lauren) Belly come back come back was really pleasing. It is a great place to be. There are so many players playing well and pushing us forward.

"We are getting smarter. It started in New Zealand in March. We have evolved as a team, trying to dominate when we can but when conditions aren't right making sure we adapt, wrestle back momentum and put the pressure back on. So that is a really pleasing thing."

New Zealand captain Sophie Devine: "I thought today we showed a bit of resilience, we've been absolutely trounced the last two matches and we came back with a bit of ticker. But with the quality players like Amy Jones and Nat Sciver-Brunt, we had to be at our best and we weren't quite there today.

"We've got to start asking more of our players. I think Georgia Plimmer has looked outstanding, she's been run out twice. There's a lot of players learning on the job, and they're playing some of the best players in the world. We are getting better, it's just going to take a bit of time.

"I think T20 brings teams closer together. We're looking forward to parking this ODI series and moving into the T20s."

Player of the series Maia Bouchier: "I think one of the bigger strengths of my game is my timing, trying not to force it when they're bowling really well.

"I love batting with Tammy, she's so experienced and really fun to bat with. We have some good communication, we keep batting together and it's going to be an exciting partnership for us.

"A hundred for England, I've dreamt about it for a long time. I've performed for my team, that's all I hope for."

Player of the match Lauren Bell: "My second spell when I came on Heather said it was an important time to get a wicket so I'm really happy.

"They built partnerships really well but I was pretty clear with what was good on this wicket so I felt pretty good.

"I have made a few changes to the mental side of the game. The skill is there, it is just applying it in a game which I managed to do today.

"With Sophie (Ecclestone) having a rest today meant a few of us had a big job to do. But we came together and it was a group effort."

Sciver-Brunt her usual incredible self. But also a great supporting innings from Amy Jones!

Just the third time England have whitewashed New Zealand in ODIs. They did it in 1984 in England and in 2011-12 in New Zealand.

It's a masterclass from Nat Sciver-Brunt on how to complete a run chase. Came in with her side in a little trouble, never looked in trouble herself.

What an innings from Alice Capsey, someone so young coming in and playing the situation off the back of not a lot of cricket.

    Scores tied!

Alice Capsey plays an aggressive cut down to deep third and England can race through for two.

Alice Capsey helps the ball down to fine leg and rushes through for two.

    Just three more runs needed.

  14. Eng 207-5published at 37.4 overs

That's a lovely controlled shot from Alice Capsey as she pulls a short delivery from Molly Penfold through backward square and to the rope.

    That one is even better!

A gorgeous drive off the back foot through the covers.

    England are on the brink.

  15. Eng 197-5published at 37 overs

Sophie Devine brings herself on to try and inspire a wicket.

Some smart fielding from Molly Penfold saves two runs on the ropes. New Zealand's ground fielding has been good. Their catching, not so much.

    15 needed from 30 balls.

I think seam has been quite difficult to play on this wicket, New Zealand took wickets with their seamers. But they've been unable to put pressure on with their spinners.

England need 19 from 37 balls

Molly Penfold returns to try and replicate Lauren Bell's impact at the backend of the New Zealand innings.

Alice Capsey is looking in good touch though as she plays a lovely cut that beats the point fielder and England run two.

That over has put England on the brink. Just 23 from 42 needed now.

  19. Eng 190-5published at 35 overs

An absolute gift from Brooke Halliday.

It is a slow, loopy fully toss that is all too easy for Alice Capsey to club away to the rope.

    Oh dear. Another gift!

Capsey pushes for a single next ball and Maddy Green's throw is wayward, racing away to the rope for four overthrows.

  20. Eng 177-5published at 34 overs

Sophie Devine looks a little chilly now as the sun dips beyond the horizon.

Two singles from Amelia Kerr's latest over brings the equation down to 36 from 48 balls.
