    Target 212

Lovely stuff from Sophia Dunkley, advancing down the pitch to loft Amelia Kerr back down the ground for four.

Sciver-Brunt then comes on strike and picks up a boundary of her own at square leg, turning the ball away on the swivel.

11 from the over and England are beginning to pick up the pace a bit.

I get the feeling that Dunkley might be in the mood.

  3. Eng 51-3published at 13 overs

Nat Sciver-Brunt brings up England's fifty, turning Devine's ball fine for four.

She follows up with a single into mid-wicket, before Dunkley fails to score off the final four balls of the over, although not for the want of trying.

Slightly risky that one. If you get the timing right it runs away nicely, but it is also a bit heart in mouth as you could chop onto your own stumps. But she did well.

And now Dunkley picks up four, moving the ball down past the short third fielder to the ropes.

Didn't look entirely comfortable, but the intent was there.

    Bouncing over!

She took a big stride down the pitch to play a forward defensive and was leaning forward, perhaps that's why Anna Harris thought it was going on to hit the stumps.

That felt a little odd in real time.

It went through to the keeper, which suggests height could be an issue.

Dunkley give out on the field!

She misses Amelia Kerr's delivery and is struck somewhere on the top of her back leg.

The England batter sends it upstairs.

The target is getting close to being awkward, but England will still be confident they have it in hand.

    Target 212

Sophie Devine brings herself onto bowl.

Her third delivery strikes Sciver-Brunt on the pad, but she decides against reviewing.

    Her call, ultimately!

Molly Penfold has bowled the bouncer well but just strayed leg side there, allowing Nat Sciver-Brunt to play it well right in front of her eyes.

  12. Eng 39-3published at 10 overs

    Shot.

Sciver-Brunt picks Penfold's bouncer and pulls it away for four.

Only the second boundary of the innings, following Bouchier's six in the fifth over.

  13. Eng 34-3published at 9 overs

Powerplay over and the field is shuffled for Hannah Rowe's fifth over.

Just a single from it as Sciver-Brunt turns the ball down to fine leg.

New Zealand have woken up. They have played with real intent today having been a bit lacklustre so far this series.

  15. Eng 33-3published at 8 overs

Sophia Dunkley is next up, back in an England shirt for the first time since April.

She won a recall for this series after a good run of form in domestic cricket - her teammates will be hoping she continues that today.

  16. wicket

    Bouchier c Gaze b Penfold 19 (Eng 33-3)

Bouchier won't score a century today!

Strange dismissal, the England opener pulling out of a pull shot and seeing the ball brush the top of her upraised bat.

England are in a spot of trouble now.

Checking in for the first time in a while after getting home or sorting your evening meal?

England are chasing 212 to beat New Zealand in a rain-reduced 42-over match. A win would see them complete a 3-0 series win.

Earlier, Lauren Bell took a career-best 5-37 as the White Ferns posted 211-8.

  18. Eng 29-2published at 7 overs

England still have plenty of batting to come, with Nat Sciver-Brunt and her batting average of 46.75 coming to the crease.

But those coming in haven't had much, or indeed any, chance to bat in this series. Sciver-Brunt picked up two runs on Sunday before Maia Bouchier scored the runs that finished the match.

That's why Hannah Rowe was given the new ball, the ability to get bounce and movement.

Heather Knight thinks she can work it leg-side but it takes a big leading edge.

    Knight never looked comfortable.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 6.5 overs

    Knight c & b Rowe 9 (Eng 29-2)

    Now Knight goes!

She tries to push Hannah Rowe into the leg side but instead offered up an big leading edge that the New Zealand bowler took in her follow-through.

England are two down - they only three wickets in total across the first two ODIs.
