  1. NZ 82-2published at 17 overs

Sarah Glenn, replacing Sophie Ecclestone for this match, comes into the attack and New Zealand's batters go on the attack.

Devine clouts her through the covers for four, before Kerr picks up her first boundary with an aerial shot that bounces just short of, then crosses, the ropes behind the bowler.

  2. NZ 71-2published at 16 overs

Amelia Kerr faces two dot balls before flicking Charlie Dean into mid-wicket for two - her first runs after ten scoreless deliveries.

She follows that with a pulled single into a similar area.

Here are the two wickets that England have picked up so far.

  4. NZ 67-2published at 15 overs

    Was that a chance?

Sophie Devine swipes Nat Sciver-Brunt away for four through mid-wicket, and strikes the following delivery uppishly in the same direction.

Tammy Beaumont is out on the boundary at square leg and seems a little slow setting off, backing off at an attempt to take a catch running forward and across, stalling mid-dive in an attempt to just block the ball. She is unable to do so, and the ball goes for a second four.

A frustrated look on Sciver-Brunt's face...

Make that 13 from five overs.

Amelia Kerr seems a little bogged down - she's scored 12 from 28 balls, none of them boundaries, and has not scored from her last eight deliveries.

    The players are taking drinks.

  6. NZ 58-2published at 13 overs

Sophie Devine turns Sciver-Brunt's first delivery into the leg side, but Amelia Kerr fails to score from the subsequent five deliveries.

Just 12 runs from the last four overs.

New Zealand have a platform - but they have had a platform before and collapsed. They don't want another six for 10.

  8. NZ 57-2published at 12 overs

Charlie Dean rattles through another over, to appreciative shouts of "Great job, Deano!" from behind the stumps.

The Met Office reckons we'll still get rain at 4pm, but it seems the bad weather might be passing a little further south now and could pass Bristol within the hour.

Before this game New Zealand had lost 4-143 to the seamers in this series and 15-148 to the spinners.

And a change at the other end too as Nat Sciver-Brunt replaces Kate Cross.

Three singles from the over - meanwhile it's actually somewhat sunny at Bristol now.

I'll have another check of that rain radar, see if we're still expecting rain in half an hour.

  11. NZ 52-2published at 10 overs

First bowling change for England as Charlie Dean comes on to bowl her off-breaks.

Amelia Kerr brings up the New Zealand fifty, knocking the ball down to the fielder at third to run two.

Sophie Devine has two ODI centuries against England and they have both come in the third match in the series when England have been 2-0 up.

  13. NZ 46-2published at 9 overs

Sophie Devine time, and she finds the gap at point from her second delivery, the ball easily beating a sprawling Charlie Dean on its way to the ropes.

16 from the over, but Bates is a key wicket.

Suzie Bates was fishing because Kate Cross found that beautiful movement that she finds. I feel a bit for her because she was looking behind to check it wasn't a no-ball.

Bates, as an experienced player, should have been able to pull out of that shot.

Suzie Bates was just starting to get going, but that is a great take from Amy Jones.

It has been a strange opening spell from Kate Cross. There's been some unplayable deliveries but then she's obviously working something out with her run-up.

    WICKETpublished at 8.4 overs

    Bates c Jones b Cross 24 (NZ 40-2)

All going on in this Cross over - Bates has to go, but not before clobbering the England bowler for consecutive boundaries.

The New Zealand opener another over-stepped delivery from Cross through the covers. The subsequent free-hit is a no ball on two counts, an over-step and on height and Bates clubs it away to the square boundary.

She fails to take advantage of the second free hit before Cross makes the breakthrough from the next delivery, drawing an edge which is taken by Amy Jones, diving to take the catch in front of slip.

Kerr turns Lauren Bell into mid-wicket to run two, then picks up a single moving the ball behind square.

A solid if unspectacular start and powerplay from New Zealand, but they'll take it for now.

  18. NZ 27-1published at 7 overs

Four for Suzie Bates from the opening ball of Cross's third over, working the England seamer away to mid-wicket.

Tighter lines for the rest of the over, with only a couple of singles coming from the last five balls.

  19. NZ 21-1published at 6 overs

Two dot balls to start Amelia Kerr's innings, just a single from the over.

That will have been Suzie Bates' call. Georgia Plimmer will have just reacted and it isn't a great call.

It is a terrific piece of fielding though. She will have only had a stump and a half to aim at. It's simply sensational.

Everything that Charlie Dean touches turn to gold.
