    Mitchell Starc has another one!

Not a shot that Rahul Tripathi will want to see again. An ugly hoick across the line and the ball goes straight up.

Ramandeep Singh gets himself underneath it at square leg and takes the catch.

    Big trouble already for Sunrisers.

You've got to be a bit careful on this surface, that ball is staying low and they're expecting it to be higher. They quickly need to assess what's a good score on this surface.

  3. SRH 21-2published at 4 overs

It's taken a while but we've got the end of the over eventually.

Three wides from Vaibhav Arora extended it but, all things considered, he'll take going for just six in the over.

There's a lot of panic, no sense of calmness to Sunrisers' batting here. They just need to take a deep breath and calm down, they've played wonderful cricket through this competition.

  5. SRH 15-2published at 3 overs

Sunrisers Hyderabad are starting to get themselves going, albeit with a bit of luck.

Rahul Tripathi clips the first ball of the over off his pads for four and Aiden Markram then throws his bat at a ball angled across him by Mitchell Starc.

It flies off the edge but wide of slip and away for four more.

What a start, Sunrisers couldn't have thought of anything worse. Look at the reaction from Travis Head, he cannot believe it. Sunrisers are in a lot of trouble.

    Golden duck for Travis Head!

The Australian had to wait a while to face his first ball and when he does he fences at a lovely, swinging delivery from Vaibhav Arora and tickles it behind.

Another excellent delivery, angled across the left-hander and shaping away that bit further to take the edge. No mistake from Rahmanullah Gurbaz behind the stumps.

Any batter in the world would've got out to that delivery. What a tone Mitchell Starc has set for his team.

  9. SRH 3-1published at 1 over

Rahul Tripathi takes a single from the last ball of the Mitchell Starc over.

I'm still trying to get my head around that delivery to remove Abhishek Sharma. Just remarkable new-ball bowling.

That's the best delivery of the tournament, that's unbelievable. As a batter you have absolutely no chance and that's why you pay the sort of money you do for Mitchell Starc.

Beauty! What a delivery form Mitchell Starc!

Abhishek Sharma was squared up and the ball swings just past the edge to hit the top of off.

It doesn't get much better than that. What a start for Starc and KKR!

Shows you how nervous these players are, there was no chance for the second run, he'd already thrown the ball when he was running!

Early drama as Abhishek Sharma angles the ball down to deep third and, despite such a short boundary, comes back for two.

He looks like he might be in trouble but the throw is not quite on the money and Rahmanullah Gurbaz can't connect with the stumps as he dives towards them.

  14. SRH 0-0published at 0.1 overs

Swing for Mitchell Starc immediately and he beats the bat as Abhishek Sharma attempts a to drive through the overs.

Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma make their way out to the middle for Sunrisers, they've been superb this season.

Speaking of which, Mitchell Starc has the new ball in hand for KKR.

    The countdown has begun...

Here come the teams as the fire cannons go off either side of them.

It's a mixture of orange and purple in the stands - quite an even spread from the looks of it, too.

There is much to admire about the IPL, not least the quality of the cricket, but the vast array of bright colours on display every game is always pleasing.

The Australian reckons it is a good pitch and isn't expecting any dew later so bat first it is.

More than two months since the 2024 Indian Premier League began in Chennai, we're back where it all started for the final!

Back then few would have predicted a Kolkata Knight Riders v Sunrisers Hyderabad final but here we are.

Both sides have surpassed expectations and today - weather-permitting - one of them will lift the trophy at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
