Still, regardless of the wicket you'd have to say it was India's session - they're now 139 runs short of England's first innings total of 387.

WinViz has upped their chance of victory steadily through the morning.

A couple more wickets after lunch would see England break into a fragile tail though, and bring their own percentage back up.

To see if they can do that, and to guide you through the rest of lunch, here's Elizabeth Botcherby.

Well, England will take heart from that.

India scored 103 runs in the session, which lasted 22.3 overs.

KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant batted through all of it, their 141-run partnership coming to a close with the latter's run-out.

Jofra Archer had four overs from the start of the morning, while Shoaib Bashir only popped up at the end for 15 balls.

We've had 65.3 overs in the innings, so have just under 15 more until the new ball.

What a wonderful bit of fielding, and I think the England boys sensed that as well. He's gone, he's dabbed it forward there Rishabh Pant and he's looked at KL Rahul the other end, hesitated just for a second. Great bit of fielding, pick up one handed, turned towards the bowlers end, and mid-air nearly knocked the middle stump out.

Stokes has been bowling for the past hour. Bouncers, 90mph. He could barely walk on Thursday evening. Then he does that. Remarkable cricketer.

KL Rahul will be stranded on 98 not out. That was the break that England were looking for and it was all caused because of Rahul's search for a 100.

Pant run out (Stokes) 74 (Ind 248-4)

A direct hit from Ben Stokes to run out Rishabh Pant!

England get their first wicket of the session from what turns out to be its last ball.

KL Rahul had taken a first ball single to move to 98, and Pant was perhaps keen to get his partner back on strike to reach his century in the last over before lunch.

He dabbed Shoaib Bashir into the off side and set off, Ben Stokes swooped in from cover, turned and fired down the stumps at the bowler's end, leaving Pant well short.

A major boost for England, after a session that was all India.

A KL Rahul pull into square leg takes the India opener to 97.

Prior to that bit of Crawley fielding, Pant scored four with a cut through third.

An extraordinary piece of cricket that. Top-edge, it flew away, it was a no-look pull shot from Pant and Zak Crawley caught it but had to release it, otherwise it would have ended up as a six. Ends up being just a single run.

  10. Ind 245-3published at 64.2 overs

Blimey, that's quite some fielding from Zak Crawley.

Rishabh Pant pulls Ben Stokes' short ball out to fine leg - the lanky Zak Crawley is on the ropes and takes the ball above his head, but has to chuck the ball back in as he topples backwards, with India taking a single.

I don't think you can call that a drop, he was right on the ropes and had to fall back as he took it above his head - there was nowhere for him to go.

Rishabh Pant has now scored the second-most runs by a wicket-keeper in a Test series in England, behind Alec Stewart (465).

  12. Ind 241-3published at 64 overs

Rishabh Pant faces five dot balls from Shoaib Bashir, then lashes a massive drag-down through the covers.

There's a fielder out on the ropes there though and Pant will just get a single.

  13. Ind 240-3published at 63 overs

Nicely done by KL Rahul, getting on top of Ben Stokes' head-height short ball and pulling it down into the outfield and away to the ropes at backward square.

One further single takes him to 96, with 10 minutes until lunch.

On this pitch, you've got to get it up there first, a little bit of flight and then you start to get some turns. Spinners just fire it in there now, don't they?

Ben Stokes has been getting increasingly frustrated over the past 15 minutes. In Brydon Carse's last over he held his arms out as if to say "how does he get away with it?" when Rishabh Pant miscued into a gap. Stokes then stood for a good few seconds with his hands on his hips after Pant survived through his own over.
