Very slow, encouraged the drive and KL Rahul did drive. The milestone of a hundred has cost India two wickets.

    Rahul c Brook b Bashir 100 (Ind 254-5)

Nope. KL Rahul will not push on. An edge gifts a routine catch to Harry Brook in the slips.

Both of India's set batters are back in the pavilion. They trail by 133 runs with five wickets in hand.

  5. Ind 254-4published at 67 overs

KL Rahul has been decidedly skittish in the couple of overs either side of lunch. Now he's safely into three figures, will we see a return to his usual cool?

    Sir Alastair Cook
Ex-England captain on Test Match Special

It's been fighting and determined but the word I am using is control. From the moment he walked out yesterday, he has exuded control. Such an important part to this Indian batting line-up.

Century for KL Rahulpublished at 66.4 overs

    Ind 254-4

An unnecessary single, which nearly brings another run out, gets KL Rahul back on strike at the first opportunity.

He defends, he defends, and runs a tight single to reach his 10th Test century.

The helmet comes off, he raises both arms to the sky. He's out of the nervous 90s.

  8. Ind 252-4published at 66 overs

KL Rahul takes a single to start the session.

Ravindra Jadeja, batting ahead of Nitish Kumar Reddy, scratches his mark, finds a gap at mid-on and races to three.

With a dot to finish the over, Rahul is left on 99.

    Here comes Jofra Archer.

The players are heading back out with India 248-4 and trailing by 139 runs.

KL Rahul - on 98 - is joined by Ravindra Jadeja. Shoaib Bashir has three balls left to bowl to complete the 66th over.

Will the wicket of Rishabh Pant on the stroke of lunch shift the momentum in England's favour? Will Rahul reach his century with one lofty blow?

    Here comes the second session.

Was that run-out the TikTok generation's Flintoff v Australia at the Oval to run out Ricky Ponting in 2009?

For me it was a harder throw. Stokes had to fully turn his body around.

Maybe the way to kill two birds with one stone is to refuse a ball change unless the fielding side is up to date with the over rate.

One of the big talking points during this series has been slow over-rates. 15 overs went unbowled on day two at Lord's.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan offers his thoughts on the subject and what the solution could be.

Well, I have been listening all morning while I cleaned my washing machine. I convinced myself that I wasn’t bringing England any luck so I switched off. As soon as I checked online for an update, Stokes gets a wicket! I will just check in online for the rest of the afternoon. I love Test Cricket.

Thanks Mike. Go and enjoy the sunshine.

Wait... he's just produced cakes from his running club's AGM. That's more exciting than the fruit salad and yoghurt the players are once again enjoying at Lord's.
