It’s lively in the stands now. The India fans cheer both referrals. There are boos too, I think from the India fans towards the on-field umpire for the decisions.

  2. Ind 376-7published at 114 overs

An eventful maiden, bringing the wicket of Ravindra Jadeja and two lbws successfully overturned by Akash Deep. Maybe he should be in charge of all of India's reviews.

Ben Stokes applauds his bowler at the end of the over.

    Deja vu.

Red. Red. Green. It's missing, you've guessed it, leg stump.

An lbw overturned for a second time in the over.

England are nervous after the first replay…

  5. India reviewpublished at 113.5 overs

It's all happening. The umpire has given another lbw against Akash Deep.

India go upstairs again. I have no idea.

  6. Not outpublished at 113.3 overs

Red. Red. Green. It's missing leg stump.

Good review from Akash Deep. That would have been two wickets in two balls for England.

  7. India reviewpublished at 113.3 overs

The umpire has given Akash Deep out lbw. Chris Woakes wheels away in celebration.

    Deep immediately reviews.

We have a crucial period coming now. Jofra Archer has been held back this afternoon so he is able to go at the tail.

Will Stokes unleash him straight away?

That is a great catch. We are talking about bowlers and how many overs they've been on the field, you look at Jamie Smith and to make that sort of movement late in the day after spending hours on the field yesterday with the bat and today with the gloves, it's remarkable.

Jadeja caught behind after tickling Woakes delivery down legside

    Breakthrough for England!

Chris Woakes bowls down the leg side, Ravindra Jadeja gets an edge on it, and Jamie Smith, diving to his right, takes the ball in both hands.

India trail by 11 runs. Here comes Akash Deep.

  11. Ind 376-6published at 113 overs

Some oohs from behind the stumps as Brydon Carse gets one to swing in to Washington Sundar, who shoulders arms. And again. Carse stares down the stumps.

    A maiden.

India are only 11 behind so the talk of a draw might seem premature. If they can get to 50-60 runs lead, Bumrah has had a little bit of rest, two spinners, England will have to bat well in their second innings.

  13. Ind 376-6published at 112 overs

Washington Sundar runs a single to bring up the 50 partnership off 100 balls.

Ravindra Jadeja is happy to dot out the next five balls.

A breakthrough feels quite far away for England.

  14. Ind 375-6published at 111 overs

The first over after drinks, bowled by Brydon Carse, sees Washington Sundar defend five balls before India collect a leg bye. That last delivery swung a bit.

Shoaib Bashir, who injured a finger in the afternoon session, is looking pensive in the stands.

These pitches are absolutely awful. Very disappointing series and England have given up any home advantage they might have had by creating conditions more favourable to India. The Ashes is going to be a 5-0 humiliation.

Thanks Mike. While I've not had any of the aforementioned drink, I can confirm its smell is quite pungent.

A couple of players have gone off for comfort breaks so we're in for another lengthy delay.

First sight of Chris Woakes in this session, and he sends down a maiden over to Ravindra Jadeja.

The players will take drinks, and indeed I'm off to see if I can finish the frankly disgusting freebie bottle of pop I got handed outside the office on my lunch break.

    Here's Elizabeth Botcherby.

Aha, and CricViz now thinks India are more likely than England to win this Test.

The draw is an increasingly strong favourite though.

  19. Ind 374-6published at 109 overs

Brydon Carse thumps a delivery into Ravindra Jadeja's pads - it's too high and no-one's interested, but that's the first time I can remember the ball striking the pads in this session.

    Cheteshwar Pujara
Former India batter on BBC Test Match Special

Both teams are trying hard and there were some really good spells but some really good batting as well as that's what was needed to resist and survive those spells. As the game progresses, the pitch is going to get slower, and on this pitch, it seems really dry and rough patches are visible.
