There are some match-ups in sport that don't need any selling and with just one point separating Surrey and Nottinghamshire, today's County Championship game between the two sides is one of them.

Somerset and Warwickshire are theoretically still in the title race, but the winners at The Oval - the Notts website calls it a "seminal showdown" - look certain to become 2025 champions.

Worcestershire's Division One status is hanging by a thread, while Glamorgan look set to join already promoted Leicestershire in the top flight next summer if they can beat Derbyshire.

Welcome to our coverage of the penultimate round of nine matches. Play starts at 10:30.
