More spin as Axar Patel comes into the attack.

Harry Brook is down on one knee and slog sweeps the spinner for six over the boundary at long-on. He follows it up with a confident drive through the covers.

    Well played by the Yorkshireman.

If Bethell gets better for the next game, I don't think it's far fetched to drop Salt for him. Twice now he's fallen hook line and sinker

    Seb, Winchester

Joe Root should be in this t20 team. Far better option than Salt at batting, extra bowling option as well which means we can play another batter. He's probably a better keeper as well.

    Andy Munson, York

Absolutely no need to play that sweep Ben Duckett - was in no danger and that’s another gift to India

Wayne, frustrated batter, watching on the telly

That's the 13th time Ben Duckett has been dismissed reverse sweeping in T20s, only Glenn Maxwell (21) has done so more frequently.

Jos Buttler continues to play with freedom despite the departure of Ben Duckett, and heaves Washington Sundar over the rope at mid-wicket to notch his second six.

He has 26 off 14 balls.

Ben Duckett will do that again and again and again, that's his favourite shot and he can't believe he's go out to the sweep. It flew off the edge and onto his pad.

Ben Duckett's strength is also his weakness.

The England left-hander is undoubtedly a fine sweeper, but this is very premeditated as he looks to make an early statement to India spinner Washington Sundar and ends up surrendering his wicket.

Duckett attempts to reverse sweep Sundar's first ball and ends up hitting the ball into his pad and Dhruv Jurel pockets a catch after the ball spoons up into the off side.

Right in the slot and dispatched.

Jos Buttler anticipates Arshdeep Singh's attempts to keep a little bit of pace off the ball and wallops the India left-arm seamer back over his head for six.

Next ball, Buttler shows his finesse with a stylish cut through the covers.

    Superb from England's captain.

    Have a bit of that.

More like it from Jos Butter, who skips down the pitch and with those strong wrists of his emphatically biffs Arshdeep Singh for four over mid-wicket.

He attempts to repeat the shot next ball, but it drops just short of the fielder at mid-on.

Salt in the IPL had the happy habit of getting off the mark with a boundary in the first over. He also had the unhappy habit of getting out in the first over. This time, he’s managed both.

Why do England go for sixes from ball one? They could hit easy fours with low risk almost every ball at the start and get themselves set before wild swinging.

Four batters, one all-rounder, six bowlers. Really guys???

Jos Buttler prods his first few deliveries from Hardik Pandya into the covers without success before a filthy hack, which he fails to get enough bat on, across the line into the leg side to pick up a single.

  13. Eng 9-1published at 1.3 overs

England captain Jos Buttler shares a brief joke with Ben Duckett after he puts his helmet back on. Perhaps something along the lines of that delivery not being a bouncer to anyone else in the England team.

Duckett flicks Hardik Pandya's next delivery off his hip for a single.

Hardik Pandya clocks Ben Duckett on the helmet with a bouncer. The England opener was a little bit too early into a hook shot.

We'll have a quick concussion check.

Arshdeep Singh knew what to bowl there and out thought Phil Salt. Salt didn't get it he had to fetch it, that is excellent bowling and England are in trouble again early on.

Phil Salt lasted three balls for a duck in the first T20. He's made four runs off as many balls here, but that will be only a crumb of comfort.

The England opener attempts to hook a short delivery from wide of off stump from Arshdeep Singh and ends up hitting it high into the night sky down to square leg.

Washington Sundar barely has to move and comfortably takes the catch.

Arshdeep Singh has taken a powerplay wicket in his last eight T20I matches coming into today's game - he took 2-10 in his three powerplay overs in Kolkata on Wednesday.
