    Jennings b Cullen 49 (Lancs 93-1 - target 309)

Keaton Jennings misses out on his second half-century off the match.

He shapes to steer Blake Cullen away through the off-side but the ball is too close to him and he drags it into his stumps.

The left-hander cannot believe it, but he is gone.

Stands of 97 and 93 between Jennings and Michael Jones in this game.

    Somerset 670-7d v Worcs 154 & 391-6 - trail by 125 runs

    How did that miss?

Zafar Gohar turns one past the inside edge of Keaton Jennings' bat but it just misses the off stick.

Gohar then drops short and Jennings cuts for four. He moves to 49 not out.

    Drinky-poos at Chelmsford.

Normally in April in the first round of the County Championship the drink might be a hot chocolate but it's warm work out there for everyone so something cooling is the order of the day.

Ben Foakes and Dom Sibley are successfully blunting Essex who have gone through the bowling changes and are almost back at the start again.

  6. SUSSEX DECLAREpublished at 15:03 British Summer Time 7 April

    Warks 454 v Sussex 528 & 313-7

It was looking like Sussex would just bat and bat but they have pulled out to leave themselves 44 overs to do something very special.

388 will be the Bears' nominal target.

This is at least 10 overs too late to make it interesting on a slow wicket.

Tom Alsop ends up 82 not out.

Sussex should get a little go at the hosts before tea.

  7. dropped catch

    Dropped catchpublished at 18.4 overs

    Lancs 88-0 - target 309

Keaton Jennings tries to clear mid-on where Henry Brookes leaps but can't hold onto the chance.

He does, though, takes some of the pace off it so Jennings has to settle for three.

Blake Cullen then overpitches and Michael Jones drills it straight for four.

  8. wicket

    Drissell lbw b Tongue 2 Notts 579 v Durham 378 & 270-7 - lead by 69

    What is happening here?

You wait for an age for a wicket and then two fall in one over.

Josh Tongue has ripped this game open again as he pins George Drissell in front with the last ball of the 80th over.

Ben Raine is in but Colin Ackermann remains on 116.

Haseeb Hameed opts not to take the new ball just yet. Game on.

Somerset go funky and bring on Tom Banton for a bowl. Why not?

Brett D'Oliveira takes a single to bring up the 100-run partnership for the seventh wicket.

Somerset have taken just one wicket today - and that was Pears number 11 Adam Finch.

Eighteen overs to the new ball....

Now then, that could make things interesting.

Josh Tongue finds a bit more pace as he pitches it up to Graham Clark and smashes into his off-stump.

A brilliant knock comes to an end and George Drissell joins Colin Ackermann.

Five balls left to the new ball and just what the home side needed.

Nothing new to report at Taunton where Worcestershire continue to move closer to the great escape.

Matthew Waite is playing a terrific hand here and he steers Jack Leach down to fine leg for two more to move within four runs of his fifty.

He was second-top scorer in the first knock with an unbeaten 32.

Colin Ackermann and Graham Clark take a single apiece from Farhan Ahmed's 16th over.

The runs are just beginning to flow easier as the pitch appears to be losing what menace it had.

Notts will need to make the new ball talk if they are to retain any hope of a win. It's due in three overs.

He's had a few scares in a knock played under pressure, but Graham Clark pulls Josh Tongue into the stand for six to bring up an important fifty.

Clark came in this morning with Durham at 123-5 and in danger of sliding to an innings defeat, but his 16th first-class half-century has gone a long way to saving the match.

It's come off 111 balls with four fours.

The blow also takes Durham's lead past 50.

A partnership that has taken Sussex to safety ends as Fynn Hudson-Prentice is called back for an all-run four by Tom Alsop.

There's confusion and they both end up at the bowler's end!

Hudson-Prentice slapped a short ball out to long-on and ultimately, Ed Barnard's chase back to the fence was rewarded!

Ball change at Lord's. Middlesex will be happy about that as the original one did absolutely nothing.
