  2. 'I try to channel Sir Viv and Lara'published at 17:08 British Summer Time 30 August

Davina Perrin has also been speaking about channeling West Indies legends Sir Viv Richards and Brian Lara: "I guess you could say that. I love Sir Viv's flair. I love Brian Lara's ability to score runs and score big, plus he had that hunger to go and do so. That's all I'm thinking about really.

"My dad always had their YouTube videos up so I've been watching them since I was six or seven years old, so I always try to channel them. They are all-time greats, I love that era of cricket."

On taking on Southern Brave in the final: "It's a whole new day, I have to back up what I did today at a new ground and against a new team. We will take this as confidence but we will need to adapt and take whatever is thrown at us tomorrow."

  3. 'I'm telling myself to just enjoy all of it and soak it all in'published at 17:06 British Summer Time 30 August

Northern Superchargers' Davina Perrin speaking to Sky Sports following the win: "I guess I did [deliver]. I'm absolutely buzzing to be through to the final. We have a great group, a very talented group, so I'm just glad that we got over the line today.

"I can't quite say I did [wake up and think I would do this today], but I did have some really good chats with the coaches yesterday. Lisa [Keightley] took me for a walk, told me to puff my chest out and take my helmet off, and that really worked for me. That's all I had planned on doing today. Thankfully it worked!

"All I'm telling myself is to just enjoy all of it, soak it all in and take each game ball-by-ball. That's as much as you can do - stay in the present and let it flow."

A massive confidence boost going into the final for Northern Superchargers. Davina Perrin is rightly the star that everyone will talk about regarding this game, this win was set up by her brilliant innings. It was remarkable really from someone so young.

Northern Superchargers were good. They looked good with the ball in hand and supported Perrin with the bat. That mammoth score they got was always going to be too many for London Spirit, who won't leave the game with such a bitter taste in their mouth after posting a good score.

London Spirit can hold their heads up high but they lost it in the first half of the game.

  7. 'It's about having that tunnel vision now'published at 16:55 British Summer Time 30 August

Northern Superchargers' 18-year-old centurion Davina Perrin spoke to Sky Sports a little earlier:

"That felt pretty brilliant to be fair. It's not everyday you find yourself in that state of flow and in the zone, so when you're there it is about staying present and taking every ball as it comes.

"I'm not thinking a lot when I'm in a state of mind like that, I'm typically looking at taking every ball as it comes. The wicketkeeper turned towards me and asked me if I had thought about getting my 100 yet, that was the first time I glanced up at my score and saw it was going alright.

"There's about 20 of my family and friends piled into the offices. They have brought all of their Jamaican food as well. I bet they are having a great time up there.

"We still have a job to do on the field with the ball. It is a pretty decent deck, as we've seen, but we have an outstanding bowling attack who respond well to conditions. It's about going out there and executing our skills now. It's about having that tunnel vision now and getting going on the pitch again."
