Perrin run out (Knott) 101 (Superchargers 171-3)

The unluckiest way to get out!

Davina Perrin is run out at the non-striker's end via a deflection off the bowler's hands, an unfortunate way to end a breath-taking innings.

The Oval rises for one of the most remarkable innings - 101 from 43 balls at the age of 18.

  2. Superchargers 171-2published at 78 balls

The celebrations are short-lived for London Spirit, however, at the sight of Annabel Sutherland striding to the crease.

You don't mind that at all from Phoebe Litchfield - she has played that shot on a number of occasions and she has absolutely creamed it. This time it went straight to Grace Harris, but they want to keep going and get a monster total on the board.

They have already got plenty of runs on the board, they could probably declare, but it is nice to see the batters having some fun.

  4. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 77 balls

    Litchfield c Harris b Knott 35 (Superchargers 169-2)

    Straight to long-on!

Phoebe Litchfield's cameo comes to an end as she tries to whack Knott for another six but picks out Grace Harris on the boundary.

She departs for an entertaining 35 from 19 balls.

  5. Superchargers 169-1published at 76 balls

Phoebe Litchfield is now trying to switch hit everything, and Charli Knott keeps firing the ball wider to counter it.

She looks unhappy to concede a wide just after Litchfield whacks a straighter ball down the ground for four.

What an innings, it is absolutely sensational!

Davina Perrin has hit the ball all over south London this afternoon. You will rarely see the likes of this, what a knock. It is simply remarkable!

She is putting out an innings of quite prestigious talent. We all need to catch our breaths.

  7. 6 runs

    Superchargers 162-1published at 75 balls

    Shot!

Phoebe Litchfield shows her class with a stunning straight six down the ground.

By the way, that is the second individual century in the women's Hundred after Tammy Beaumont's 52-ball ton in 2023. That seems pedestrian in comparison to this!

The Oval rises to Davina Perrin.

It's a prolonged and thoroughly deserved ovation for the 18-year-old.

What an innings and what a talent.

    WOW!

Davina Perrin whacks Eva Gray for four to bring up a 42-ball century, and it has been phenomenal.

15 fours, five sixes. London Spirit look completely bewildered.

  10. 6 runs

    Superchargers 151-1published at 70 balls

London Spirit are having a shocker.

Charlie Dean bowls five wides, the next ball is whacked for six by Phoebe Litchfield and is followed by a four with Charli Knott misfielding on the boundary.

Davina Perrin has been left waiting a little while, 96 to her name...

  11. Superchargers 131-1published at 65 balls

It is baffling how badly the London Spirit bowlers have bowled.

Sarah Glenn offers another opportunity for Perrin to rock back and club the ball through the leg side, followed by too much width outside off stump which is carved past point.

    Perrin is into the 90s...

London Spirit just haven't looked like a well-oiled team today. They started off poorly with a couple of misfields which set the tone early and then there was a dropped catch.

When you start a game on the back foot and then every bad ball you bowl is sent to the boundary, you immediately start scrambling around and the game passes you by. It definitely feels like that's the case here.

  14. Superchargers 120-1published at 60 balls

Phoebe Litchfield ticks the strike over off Issy Wong, depriving Davina Perrin of the strike for a while.

The opener has 86 from 36 balls with 12 fours and five sixes. As you do.

Phoebe Litchfield wastes little time in going for the switch hit.

She's actually nowhere near it, but still somehow gets a thin edge through the keeper's legs for four.

Phoebe Litchfield has played a huge part in Northern Superchargers' form this season, with 231 runs in eight innings at an average of 46.20.

The Australian batter often leaves us speechless with her array of reverse sweeps and switch hits, and BBC Sport's Matt Henry has looked into her approach, mindset and the success that she has by switching from left to right - enjoy some pre-match reading here.

The wicket hasn't had that much of an impact on Davina Perrin, though.

Another filthy short ball from Charli Knott is punished.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 49 balls

    Davidson-Richards run out (Griffith) 18 (Superchargers 105-1)

    Gone!

The batters try to sneak a single as Davidson-Richards dabs the ball to short fine leg, but she is beaten by an accurate throw from Cordelia Griffith back to the bowler and Superchargers lose their first.
