  1. Pak 87-6published at 26 overs

England give Salman Ali Agha a single because they want to bowl at Aamer Jamal.

Gus Atkinson gets some shape back in to the right-hander and nearly finds the edge before Jamal works the ball off his stumps, through the leg side for two.

Now a thick outside edge that Ollie Pope can only just get his fingertips to diving at gully. Can you call that a drop?

Some will but I think that'd be very harsh.

Plenty of competition for that, Jack. Maybe Rawalpindi last time England were in Pakistan still beats it.

But it has been an incredible Test so far.

Just that first-ball boundary, plus the wicket, from Jack Leach's over. Super start for the left-arm spinner.

If we win this, would it be the greatest victory of the McCullum era so far?

There will be some sort of inquisition into that Pakistan dressing room after this Test match, I feel.

They are reeling now and that dressing room is going to be a quiet, quiet place.

    England won't mind at all!

Fired in a little bit quicker by Jack Leach and Saud Shakeel edges behind on the cut.

Good catch from Jamie Smith and the tourists are three wickets away now (provided they get them tonight).

  6. Pak 80-5published at 24.1 overs

It is time for spin. Jack Leach is on for his first bowl of the innings...

And Saud Shakeel charges him first ball and hits over mid-off for four.

This could be fun. England certainly won't mind seeing the Pakistan batter playing some shots.

England will only need four wickets if they are to do it today, because the Pakistan Cricket Board have confirmed that Abrar Ahmed is still in the hospital.

  8. Pak 76-5published at 24 overs

From his 19th ball faced, Salman Ali Agha gets off the mark with a two pushed through backward point.

Salman made an unbeaten 104 in the first innings so is yet to be dismissed in the match and should be confident.

Time for a England to bring their spinners into the game?

Sri Lanka celebrate Test victory v IrelandImage source, Getty Images

Ireland's 492 is currently the highest score made in the first innings of a Test by a team who went on to lose by an innings.

They made that against Sri Lanka last year but conceded 704-3 declared and were dismissed for 202 in their second innings.

Understandably, Dave, you've done your part...

Four more for Saud Shakeel with a well-directed cut shot.

England have got plenty of fielders catching in front of square on the leg side as Brydon Carse continues into the sixth over of his spell.

But Shakeel stands firm. About an hour left in the day.

My 3 1/2 year old has Joseph as his middle name, after the great man. The fact his first name is Harry is an added bonus. If he doesn't get 10,000 Test runs I'll be reasonably disappointed.

Pakistan need to somehow make sure that the scoreboard is ticking.

Saud Shakeel is in good touch and Salman Ali Agha has got great temperament. He played well with the tailenders in the first innings, but the scenario is a different one for him here.

  13. Pak 72-5published at 22 overs

That, Chloe, is a brilliant idea.

Out in Multan, Saud Shakeel looks to be England's biggest obstacle to a four-day victory.

The left-hander has batted very nicely so far to reach 21 from 25 balls, while Salman Ali Agha is digging in. He's faced 15 balls without scoring.

It feels like a completely different game played out there at the moment, compared to when England made those 800-plus runs.

A reminder that Abrar Ahmed was not at the ground this morning because he had a fever.

I'm not sure what the latest on the Pakistan spinner is, hopefully he's doing OK, but England might just need four more wickets to wrap this up tonight.

That was so nearly one of them for Brydon Carse. A beauty to Salman Ali Agha that nips away a touch but bounces just too much and misses the top of off by millimetres.

You can put it down to the pressure. You can put it down to bad technique. England bowlers haven't had to put too much of an effort. Pakistan have helped them.

I think the damage has already been done. Only if something magical happens can Pakistan now salvage a draw.

  20. drinks break

    Pak 64-5published at 20 overs

Hopefully England can help keep your grandma in good spirits, Ann.

They do go up again for an lbw shout against Salman Ali Agha but umpire Dharmasena indicates he thinks there was an inside edge.

As a result, England don't review and replays show the umpire has bang on. Lots of bat.

    Time for drinks.
