    What have Pakistan got left?

Well, in Muhammad Rizwan, they have someone they know will battle to the end.

After a duck in the first innings, he'll be glad to get off the pair and does so in fine style by pulling firmly behind square for four.

We have talked about how Pakistan haven't been great as off late in the second innings of Test matches.

It doesn't help they have found themselves three down early, but that one is a very, very poor shot from Saim Ayub.

What on earth is that?! Pakistan are crumbling.

The home side were in trouble before and a terrible shot from Saim Ayub makes things a whole lot worse.

Banged in first ball by Brydon Carse and Ayub, well I'm not sure what he was trying to do, but he ends up sending the ball looping up towards mid-off.

Ben Duckett runs back, takes a good catch and England are flying.

Pakistan are in serious trouble here. Gus Atkinson's delivery is a touch shorter and nips away a touch. Babar Azam tries to protect his stumps thinking it will nip in, but can only feather a catch. All of the momentum is now with this England team.

    Babar c Smith b Atkinson 5 (Pak 41-3)

    Sorry about that, Babar.

It's beautifully bowled by Gus Atkinson and England are pushing towards victory.

Probing line around off stump from the England fast bowler, tempts Babar Azam to play and a fraction of movement away to take the edge.

It's just a feather but that's enough and Jamie Smith takes a regulation catch behind.

  6. Pak 41-2published at 11.4 overs

England clearly think there is the possibility of the odd ball staying low as Gus Atkinson continues to attack the stumps.

When he does offer the merest hint of width, though, Babar Azam is there to caress the ball through backward point for four.

He's not got the runs he'd have liked in recent times but Babar is still a class act.

It was not until 47 deliveries in the first innings that England switched to a round-the-wicket angle against Shan Masood, but it took them only 10 deliveries to do so in the second innings. In the first innings, when they eventually did come around the wicket, the English seamers were guilty of bowling 34% of deliveries wide outside off stump but in the second innings with the field set, they targeted Masood’s stumps with 50% of the deliveries on the stump line.

It's all England at the moment. You can just feel the momentum and things happening for them. They have all the energy and all the cards in this game, it feels.

Nip-backer from Chris Woakes and Babar Azam is momentarily worried after shouldering arms.

The ball whistles past his off stump before the former Pakistan skipper whips the last off middle stump to get off the mark.

It was like an 85mph off-spinner from Gus Atkinson. There was lavish movement.

Right, I don't want to get anyone unduly excited... but this pitch might be starting to do something.

Gus Atkinson gets one to jag away from Saim Ayub as he pitches the ball on a crack.

It does far too much for there to be any danger of the opener getting an edge, though.

Then a couple of balls later, the ball scoots through an ankle height with Ayub simply relieved it missed his off stump.

Big appeal for lbw from England as Saim Ayub goes back and is struck on the pad.

It sounded like there was a big inside edge and replays confirm there was. Good call not to review that one.

Ayub had crunched the previous ball through backward point for four.

Babar Azam, who is in need of a score, is the new batter for Pakistan but he can't get off the mark in this over.

The captaincy of Ollie Pope has got that wicket. The field was set with straight catchers.

With those fielders in his eyeline Masood has tried to turn the ball square of the wicket. By doing that he has turned the face a touch earlier than he would do and it balloons off a leading edge.

    Masood c Crawley b Atkinson 11 (Pak 29-2)

Goodness me, the softest of dismissals for Shan Masood.

Gus Atkinson has targeted the stumps all over, this ball is no different and the Pakistan captain tries to work it to leg.

He's through the shot a fraction too soon though and the ball loops up invitingly for Zak Crawley to take a very simple catch at mid-wicket.

There was a pause as everyone out there took a split second to work out whether that had actually just happened. So, so tame.

Loose delivery from Chris Woakes second ball.

It's sliding down leg and Saim Ayub helps it on its way to the fine leg boundary.

Woakes is back on it from there with four dots to end the over.
