  1. Sco 13-0published at 1.5 overs overs

Hayley Matthews has the chance to make amends for that drop with the ball, taking the second over with her off spin.

She's bowling in her cap, Geoff Boycott style, but she's pulled for four past square leg by Horley when she drops short.

That is a lovely shot from Saskia Horley. She didn't get many runs in the last game but I did think she looked good. She has come out with intent again tonight.

There was a bit of a shape from Chinelle Henry, a little bit full and wide, but Horley just climbs into that.

  3. Sco 8-0published at 1 over

Saskia Horley steps forward to drive past cover for the first boundary. That should settle the nerves a bit.

  4. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 15:08 British Summer Time 6 October

Sarah Bryce slashes at a wide one that flies high above Hayley Matthews at slip. She can only tip it over the bar behind her, as it were, and an early chance goes begging.

  5. Sco 1-0published at 0.1 overs

Henry induces an edge that skims down to third and Scotland are under way.

OK, we're all set as dusk falls in Dubai. It looks a picture under the lights as Saskia Horley prepares to face Chinelle Henry.

Nice to see that quite a few people have stayed for the second game of the day in the Dubai International Stadium. The players have emerged through the sparks of the little fireworks by the tunnel, and the anthems have been belted out - 'Flower of Scotland' followed by 'Rally round the West Indies'.

    Stirring stuff!

Sarah Bryce was on the field for every ball of Scotland's defeat to Bangladesh, and she must be grateful that she has had three days to recover since Thursday. At least it's a bit cooler in Dubai now, it may have dipped below 30 degrees...

West Indies v Scotland (15:05 BST)

Both these sides lost their opening games of the tournament, so this one already goes into the file marked 'must win'.

It will start a few minutes behind schedule, as the preceding game between India and Pakistan only finished just before when they should have tossed the coin for this one.

Speaking of which, here's news of the toss.
