This is exactly why England showed so much faith, patience and investment in Jofra Archer's return.

A fizzing bouncer to Nitish Kumar Reddy is called a wide as it leaps over the keeper Jamie Smith and to the boundary, but he's got both batters twitching.

Five overs this morning - can Stokes get one more out of him?

I think the Indian team has played so well. Even if India ends up losing this game I don't think they need to change the squad.

If Rishabh Pant is not fit there is no other choice than to have Dhruv Jurel in the squad. I hope Jasprit Bumrah is available as it will be the series-defining Test match.

  4. Ind 86-7published at 26 overs

    Target 193

Jasprit Bumrah is in next for India so this partnership between Ravindra Jadeja and Nitish Kumar Reddy is The One.

Ben Stokes whizzes one past Reddy's edge and has a few words.

Yep, it's not calming down any time soon.

England can smell and sense that they have a great opportunity to go up 2-1.

What a series and what a Test match. Absolutely marvellous.

  8. Ind 82-7published at 25 overs

Three wickets late last night, three in the first 45 minutes this morning.

It has been a sensational effort from England's quicks.

Jofra Archer welcomes Nitish Kumar Reddy to the crease with a fierce bouncer and the batter sways out of the way.

    Spicy.

That was a brilliant catch by Jofra Archer. He reacted really well.

The ball was pitched up and it was on middle and leg. Washington Sundar didn't time it well at all.

England have bowled really well. India is in trouble. They need a big partnership now.

The England team is charged up.

Huge movement off the seam to dismiss KL Rahul - 1.7º. That is the most we have seen off any ball this innings.

Big celebrations from the England players. They know that is massive.

Ben Stokes was on his knees appealing and is now mobbed by his players.

A good delivery from Ben Stokes - it nipped back in. KL Rahul didn't have enough time to react to that.

There was a big deviation. What a morning, so far.

    Ben Stokes magic.

Lord's always keeps the bowler interested.

The start of day five and the slope comes into play more and more.

But he's a canny operator, Ravindra Jadeja.
