  1. Ind 80-5published at 23 overs

    Target 193

Ravindra Jadeja is unhappy with a young man wearing a red bucket hat that is distracting him from the stands, and he sheepishly removes it.

Jadeja then edges Jofra Archer, but a deliberate deft touch, past second slip for four.

If you're reading, Young Man in Hat, maybe you could put it back on?

Dear TMS, my doctor recently advised me to work on keeping my blood pressure down. This match is not helping! Wouldn't change this for the world!

Turn on TMS, Archer bowls Pant. You’re welcome.

I'm so pleased this game came to life yesterday, not because it's made for an interesting game of cricket, but so that the over rate chat has been put on hold for a week!

  3. Ind 75-5published at 22 overs

    Target 193

KL Rahul continues to nudge and nurdle the runs off Stokes. He's the man to hold India together here.

What was I saying about a calm start?

    It's lively out there now.

Jofra Archer, the game-changer. He's back.

That's better! Jofra Archer comes steaming in. A great delivery - the angle just squared Rishabh Pant up.

It just hit the top of off stump. Big wicket for England. Pant is a dangerman even with one hand.

England needed that and Jofra Archer needed that!

  9. wicket

    Pant b Archer 9 (Ind 71-5)

    HUGE!

Cracking response from Archer to being smacked for four earlier in the over - exquisite seam position, nipping past the outside edge and hitting top of off.

    The stumps go cartwheeling.

What a sight, what a bowler.

    Called it, Tuffers!

Down the pitch and a one-handed thwack straight past Archer for four!

You've been on the edge of your seat for four days, neither side wrestling the initiative. It has been even-stevens. Rishabh Pant doesn't move a lot until out of nowhere he hares down the pitch and tries to slog one.

  12. Ind 66-4published at 20 overs

    Target 193

Stokes continues, and is driven sweetly through the covers by KL Rahul for a couple more.

Jofra Archer bowled a bit floaty yesterday.

Whether it's his first game back - I don't know - but he needs to hit the pitch. He needs to try burst the surface.

  14. Ind 63-4published at 19 overs

    Target 193

    Much better.

Jofra Archer corrects his length and has Rishabh Pant defending solidly, having to take his hand off the bat on a couple of occasions.

Still plenty out there for the bowlers.

There will be some twists and turns. For India, will they inch their way there or are they going to blaze their way?

Everyone on the England side has got to be expecting a catch or a run out. It's a morning for cool heads.

A poor delivery. You can't afford them. You have got to be right on it.

  17. Ind 63-4published at 18.2 overs

    Not there, though.

Full, down the leg side and Pant flicks for four.

  19. Ind 159-4published at 18 overs

    Nipped past the outside edge!

It keeps a little low, too. Plenty for KL Rahul to think about.

Get Pant early and, on this pitch, 193 is a long way away.

    Mike, Sutton

India likely winners due to England's inability to avoid a collapse, but what a four days of cricket we've had so far.

    Jack, Wigan

I’m an optimist but I think with a top-order batsman and Pant (and Jadeja) still there, England needed another 50. But it looks like it might be cloudy and muggy at Lord's so may make Woakes and Archer effective this morning.
