Pretorius does it againpublished at 12:41 British Summer Time 25 June

    Notts 360 v Somerset 406-8

Calvin Harrison pitches well outside off and watches in despair as Migael Pretorius launches the ball over his head for six with a cross batted heave.

    That's a ninth-wicket stand of 50 in just 30 balls! 30!

  2. No Swanepoelpublished at 12:40 British Summer Time 25 June

    Kent 244 v Lancashire 482-5

Kent are really toiling away with the ball to make any kind of impression on this Lancashire innings.

To make matter worse, South African Beyers Swanepoel has been off the field this morning.

Kent have not had much luck with injuries with their overseas players this summer with Aussie Wes Agar having had to return home.

  3. 6 runs

Leach joins the party as Somerset race to 400published at 12:39 British Summer Time 25 June

    Notts 360 v Somerset 400-8

Take a bow, Jack Leach. That century for the seconds last week has done him no harm at all.

A swivel pull off Calvin Harrison sends the ball to fine leg for four and then Leach gets a six with a slog across the line to wide long on.

Migael Pretorius gets another six of his own, pulling Dillon Pennington over mid wicket. He gets a single next ball and Leach hits successive fours with a clip just over mid wicket and a flay off a thick edge wide of the slips through to third man.

Not textbook but Somerset have 400 in 107 overs.

  4. 'Pennington is an uncomplicated fast bowler'published at 12:39 British Summer Time 25 June

    Notts 360 v Somerset 400-8

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Dillon Pennington is a good honest fast bowler.

He's no Jimmy Anderson but I wouldn't have said there was much to choose between him and Josh Tongue - and I think Olly Stone is a little bit quicker than either of them.

He's an uncomplicated fast bowler. He runs in hard and gives it all his got. He doesn't have much in the way of variations.

  5. Postpublished at 12:35 British Summer Time 25 June

    Worcs 207-9 v Surrey 490

Bowling change by Surrey, who call up James Taylor.

His first ball is swatted unceremoniously for four by Adam Finch.

Looks like Ben Foakes is doing some sort of yoga behind the stumps in between deliveries.

Taylor drops short and Finch pulls it away for a second boundary of the over.

  6. Postpublished at 12:34 British Summer Time 25 June

    Warwks 254 v Hants 298 & 159-3

The Hampshire lead passes 200 as Felix Organ goes forward to Danny Briggs and pushes across the line to long on for one.

James Vince in down the pitch to drive the next ball.

The single is very tight but Jacob Bethell slips in the field on the off side and the single is taken.

  7. Postpublished at 12:33 British Summer Time 25 June

    Kent 244 v Lancashire 476-5

George Balderson has joined Matty Hurst at the crease and he is showing some good intent.

The number seven has 18 off 24 balls as Lancashire look to up the run rate.

Remember, their lead is now 232.

  8. 50 runs

50 for Mason Cranepublished at 12:33 British Summer Time 25 June

    Glamorgan 471-9 v Northants 279

A big moment for Mason Crane who reaches only his second first-class 50 from 104 balls, with two to square leg off Gus Miller.

Just eight more needed by Glamorgan for a 200-run lead.

  9. Postpublished at 12:31 British Summer Time 25 June

    Worcs 196-9 v Surrey 490

Dan Worrall has a leg-slip in place and is trying his luck from round the wicket against Shoaib Bashir.

Umpire Surendiran Shanmugam has a brief word with the Australian running down the pitch.

Two runs from that one, and Gus Atkinson starts the next over with a bouncer, which flies over Adam Finch's head.

  10. 'A massive breakthrough for Durham'published at 12:30 British Summer Time 25 June

    Essex 314-7 v Durham 587

    Glenn Speller
    BBC Essex sport

That is a massive breakthrough for Durham.

Paul Walter’s long stint is over as he is bowled and with it might go Essex’s hopes of getting within sight of the visitors’ first innings.

Matthew Potts is getting some movement with the new ball (although admittedly it is a replacement after Walter planted the previous one out of the ground) and he has got his side right on top with two wonderful deliveries to bowl both Michael Pepper and Walter.

  11. 6 runs

Pretorius goes bigpublished at 12:29 British Summer Time 25 June

    Notts 360 v Somerset 370-8

    Shot!

Migael Pretorius is down on bended knee to Calvin Harrison, flaying the spinner over wide long on for six.

He also picks up a four via a deft reverse sweep.

The first hour of attrition has contrasted sharply with the flurry of boundaries since the dismissals of Tom Abell and James Rew.

  12. Postpublished at 12:26 British Summer Time 25 June

    Warwks 254 v Hants 298 & 152-3

Hampshire pass 150 in the 55th over with a push in front of square leg by James Vince off Craig Miles for two.

Calm has been restored since the wicket of Nick Gubbins and the lead is creeping up to 200.

  13. 'Bohannon roared back to form in this fixture'published at 12:24 British Summer Time 25 June

    Kent 244 v Lancashire 466-5

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire

The applause for Josh Bohannon was thoroughly deserved, it's been a fabulous innings.

It's been a slow start to his season but he has roared back to form in this fixture with that excellent double century.

  14. Division Two updatepublished at 12:23 British Summer Time 25 June

Mark Stoneman was caught off the first ball of Middlesex's second innings at Lord's with Zak Chappell making an immediate breakthrough. The home side are 13-1, 107 ahead.

The Glamorgan tail continues to wag in Cardiff and Mason Crane has 42 not out in their 463-9 against Northants, a lead of 184.

Four sixes now for Sean Hunt at Hove - the latest off Ian Holland - and he is 61 not out, with Sussex 159-3, a lead of 326 over Leicestershire.

WICKET Walter b Potts 134published at 12:19 British Summer Time 25 June

    Essex 310-7 v Durham 587

    Matthew PottsImage source, Rex Features

Oh Matt Potts, that is magic!

Paul Walter had hit Ben Raine for a four and a six in the previous over to move within seven of equalling his highest first-class score.

But Potts sends him back to the pavilion with a ball that smashes into middle and off.

Walter's fine knock is over just as he was starting to accelerate and Potts is on for five wickets.

  16. wicket

WICKET C Overton lbw Pennington 20published at 12:18 British Summer Time 25 June

    Notts 360 v Somerset 356-8

It would be fair to say this game is moving on rapidly.

Dillon Pennington has been put to the sword by Craig Overton but he has his revenge here.

It's a good ball, nipping in off the seam and striking the acting Somerset captain on the knee roll as he tries to glance the ball away in front of middle and leg.

It's a close one for sure and the umpire rules in Pennington's favour.

Time for Jack Leach to have a bat.

  17. Postpublished at 12:18 British Summer Time 25 June

    Notts 360 v Somerset 356-7

Another 14 over for Somerset, who surge past 350 and earn a third batting point in the 102nd over.

First Migael Pretorius smashes Calvin Harrison on bended knee over long on for six.

He picks up four more off a near identical stroke and forces the last ball of the over through cover off the back foot for four more.

  18. 6 runs

Bright start for James Vincepublished at 12:15 British Summer Time 25 June

    Warwks 254 v Hants 298 & 143-3

The Hampshire captain is off the mark second ball.

He advances down the pitch to spinner Danny Briggs and lofts the ball over long on for a maximum.

    Bold counter-attacking from the start.

  19. wicket

WICKET Charlesworth b Fernando 0published at 12:14 British Summer Time 25 June

    Yorks 456 v Gloucs 17 & 8-1

A superb inswinging yorker by Vishwa Fernando is too much for Ben Charlesworth and Yorkshire's march towards what they hope will be a first win of the season is on.

Oliver Price joins Bancroft with Gloucestershire still 251 behind after following on.

  20. Postpublished at 12:13 British Summer Time 25 June

    Notts 360 v Somerset 342-7

Craig Overton is really ticking here.

He waits in the crease and punches Dillon Pennington through cover off the back foot for four and follows that up with a scoop to fine leg for four more.

Single apiece for Overton and Migael Pretorius.

The last ball is flayed through cover from the crease for another four.

    14 off the over.
