  1. WI 22-2published at 5 overs

The fit-again Stafanie Taylor is the new batter after New Zealand did what England failed to do earlier this week and strike early in the powerplay.

This will be a test of West Indies' resilience now.

The West Indies are under pressure now. Eden Carson felt like a risky move but it has paid off. The catch as well was magnificent; Suzie Bates has some of the best hands in the game so she wasn't dropping that.

New Zealand are right on top.

    Campbelle c Bates b Carson 3 (WI 20-3)

    And another!

This feels like a trap set for Shemaine Campbelle, as she skews an Eden Carson delivery straight to Suzie Bates in the covers, who then immediately turn to skipper Sophie Devine, suggesting it was her idea.

Don't you love it when a plan comes together?

  4. WI 20-1published at 4 overs

Shemaine Campbelle gets off the mark with a bit of an ugly heave that brings two though mid-wicket.

Campbelle then thinks about charging Fran Jonas but Jonas responds but giving it some air and the West Indies number three can only scramble a single.

  5. WI 16-1published at 3 overs

Shemaine Campbelle is the new batter as Eden Carson bowls two dots to complete a fine over.

That was the absolute dream for any off-spinner. Eden Carson took the pace off there which was a good ploy to Qiana Joseph. New Zealand will be thrilled because they know how destructive Joseph can be in a chase.

  7. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 2.4 overs

    Joseph b Carson 12 (WI 16-1)

    Huge wicket!

Eden Carson had just been clubbed for two fours, but is brave and tosses one up that grips, turns and beats Qiana Joseph's defences.

The New Zealand players are jubilant.

New Zealand have definitely done their homework and they seem very clear on their plan to Qiana Josephs. You can see Hayley Matthews wants Josephs to face as many balls as she can from the left-handed Fran Jonas.

  9. WI 8-0published at 2 overs

Are we in low-scoring thriller territory? Like New Zealand, West Indies are struggling to pierce the infield in the powerplay.

Fran Jonas' over goes for three runs and a wide.

  10. WI 4-0published at 1 over

It is all or nothing from Qiana Joseph. She gets off the mark with a nice cut through point, before a huge swing and a miss the next ball.

Rosemary Mair, bowling around the wicket, then sends down a well-executed slower ball that deceives Joseph and escapes through to the wicketkeeper.

I'd say that is a score draw between bowler and batter.

If West Indies follow on from their disciplined bowling performance, they will definitely be favourites to win.

New Zealand will feel if they can get Qiana Joseph or Hayley Matthews early then they are in the game. But it's West Indies' game to lose.

These quick turnarounds always catch me out. We are ready to go.

Hayley Matthews and Qiana Joseph put on 102 for the first wicket to set up the victory against England. Do the same here and West Indies will have one foot in the final.

Rosemary Mair has the ball for New Zealand.

The star of the show was Deandra Dottin, who ended with figures of 4-22.

What a bowling effort that was from West Indies. New Zealand struggled to free the shackles during the powerplay and never really recovered, slipping to 69-3 after 12 overs.

New Zealand opener Suzie Bates: "There was not much of a breeze out there. The wicket held up a bit so we struggled wit out timing early on. But Georgia got through that and that innings from Brooke and Izzy to get us past that 120 mark is going to be crucial. But anything could happen with this West Indies side.

"We have to keep taking wickets but there is enough in the wicket to help us bowl them out and that has to be the aim."

    Thanks, Ffion.

West Indies have picked up where they left off against England, with the ball at least. Can they do so with the bat as well?

Which way is this one going?

It's been a World Cup full of surprises so far, so don't rule out another here.

West Indies comfortably chased 141 against England, with half-centuries for both openers Hayley Matthews and Qiana Joseph, but they are on a slower Sharjah pitch.

Expect Melie Kerr to play a big role with the ball for New Zealand, too. Here's Tom Mallows to guide you through the chase.

  19. NZ 128-9published at 20 overs

A single to Izzy Gaze ends the New Zealand innings which hasn't been particularly explosive, but they've got something to bowl at.

Georgia Plimmer's 33 was the top-score while Deandra Dottin starred with 4-22 for West Indies, who need 129 to win and join South Africa in the World Cup final.

Eden Carson is run out trying to get Izzy Gaze back on strike as New Zealand scramble.
