  1. 'We were a little calculated'published at 14:33 British Summer Time 6 October

Smriti Mandhana, standing in for captain Harmanpreet Kaur: "I think it's too soon to say anything [about Harmanpreet]. She's with the medical staff. Hopefully it's not too bad.

"Our bowling team was disciplined, they followed our plans. A better start with the bat would have been better.

"We were a little calculated to start with, the net run-rate is in our head.

"We'll get a lot of momentum into the World Cup, hopefully we keep our processes right."

  2. 'I'll be working even harder'published at 14:26 British Summer Time 6 October

Player of the match Deepti Sharma: "I've been bowling with the new ball, I had to be prepared for the powerplay - we had a good one. A good start for us with the ball.

"I work a lot on my T20 bowling in all stages of the game. It's been helping me, I'll be working even harder now.

"It was pretty hot today, but I'm used to the weather back home. Bowling wise, keeping it simple, attacking the stumps more, using my variations."

A convincing win for India in the end. It was a bit of a baffling one as well because we thought that, after keeping Pakistan down to that low total of 105 runs, India were going to come out all guns blazing and try to get that total as quickly as they could.

But no-one was really able to get going - they were struggling to find those boundaries and run those twos really hard.

They have got their first win on the board, but I don't think it will have protruded much fear into the other teams they are going to face in the group stages.

    Breaking

    Ind 108-4

Sajana Sajeevan comes in to replace her captain and immediately hits the winning runs, lofting Dar just wide of mid-off, with the ball just about making the boundary.

A win's a win for India, but they've barely repaired their net run-rate and they'll still likely need to beat Australia to progress.

Pakistan still sit above them in third in Group A, having beaten Sri Lanka in their first game.

  5. Ind 104-4published at 18.4 overs

    2 needed from 8 balls

    Curious.

Harmanpreet falls over trying to guide Dar's delivery down to third and Muneeba misses the chance to stump her.

The India captain seems to have hurt her neck, and in fact she's walking off the field, clutching the area and looking in considerable pain.

  6. Ind 104-4published at 18.2 overs

    2 needed from 10 balls

Nida Dar to bowl what will probably be the final over of the match.

Harmanpreet drags a single out to deep mid-wicket, then Deepti adds a further run to backward square.

The crowd goes wild! The flags are flying. It is rocking here - people are bouncing up and down.

India are going to do it again. They have won seven of their last eight games against Pakistan, very shortly it is going to be eight of their last nine.

It hasn't been a dominant performance, but it has been a convincing one.

  8. Ind 102-4published at 18 overs

    4 needed from 12 balls

Harmanpreet takes on her opposite number, bringing India to the brink of victory.

She whips Fatima square for two, then lofts her over the covers to bring up India's hundred with a four - that's just her side's fourth boundary, and the first not to be scored by Shafali Verma.

A drive down the ground for a single sees her retain the strike.

Meanwhile the Pakistan skipper finishes her bowling with figures of 2-23.

Yes, snicko has a spike as the ball passes the bat.

    Deepti Sharma survives.

  10. Umpire reviewpublished at 17.1 overs

Fatima Sana has another wicket... or does she?

She strikes Deepti Sharma on the pads, but it's swiftly reviewed.

    Possibly an inside edge?

A good over from India, but not the best over from Sadia Iqbal.

She just kind of bowled both sides of the wicket. I think Pakistan have been brilliant today with how straight they have bowled, but that one was just a little bit wayward.

  12. Ind 94-4published at 17 overs

    12 needed from 18 balls

A better over for India, and this may have closed the door on any chance of a Pakistan victory.

Ten from it - no boundaries, but runs from every delivery, including a couple of twos and three for Harmanpreet out to the point boundary.

Sadia Iqbal closes on 1-23 from her four overs.

How refreshing is it to see Fatima Sana - the young captain - actually really just taking a gamble and bringing an extra fielder up for her hat-trick ball. She brought Nida Dar into slip and it is just really nice to see.

She is a really brave and attacking captain.

  14. Ind 84-4published at 16 overs

    22 needed from 24 balls

Harmanpreet squeezes the ball past point for a couple, then takes a single in the same area to retain the strike.

Five from the over again... and a couple of wickets.

  15. Ind 81-4published at 15.4 overs

Deepti Sharma survives the hat-trick ball, sending it down to long-on for a single.

A carbon copy of the wicket before!

This time it was just slightly shorter on the length. Richa Ghosh has done really well to get something on that, but it was a simple catch for the wicket-keeper Muneeba Ali.

Fatima Sana is absolutely pumped! The 22-year-old captain is doing so well for her team already in this tournament.

India have dug themselves into a hole here...

    Same ball, same result!

Richa Ghosh goes first ball, a thinner edge this time but plenty enough to see her depart.

India looking shaky - is this on for Pakistan? You never know.

Meanwhile Fatima is on a hat-trick...

The ball just gets a little bit of movement away from Jemimah Rodrigues and she had actually gone towards the leg side to try to give herself a bit more room to get in that extra cover region.

Rodrigues came in with really good intent, but then she really went into her shell as the innings went on.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 15.2 overs

    Rodrigues c Muneeba b Fatima 23 (Ind 80-3)

Fatima returns... and takes a wicket!

First sight of seam in a while and it removes Jemimah Rodrigues after two balls, edging behind attempting to drive.

A key dismissal for Pakistan's 22-year-old captain, while Rodrigues trudges off having scored 23 from 28 deliveries.
