We will bring you coverage of their 11:00 BST semi-final from Edgbaston, before Gloucestershire face Sussex Sharks.

Then from Tuesday we go again for nine more County Championship matches in the penultimate round of the season.

Thanks for joining us this week, it has been a pleasure...but time for a lie down now!

  2. How they stand - Division Onepublished at 18:13 British Summer Time 12 September

    Division One table

Hey presto, we have a title race!

Somerset's simply incredible victory over Surrey means we have a Super September on our hands.

Surrey host Durham next week before travelling to Chelmsford in the final round - two very tricky matches. Somerset have a week at Lancashire before hosting Hampshire.

At the other end of the table, Notts and Lancs endured horror innings defeats this week to remain in relegation dogfights.

Kent got a draw to end their club-record equalling six defeats in a row, but that is more than likely a stay of execution rather than a relegation pardon.

  3. How they stand - Division Twopublished at 18:09 British Summer Time 12 September

    Division Two table

    Middlesex fans, look away now.

Victory over Gloucestershire today would've kept them in the second promotion spot, one point ahead of Yorkshire.

They were in fact second by the same margin when this round of matches started on Monday.

There are two rounds of Championship matches left and the latter one will see Middlesex take on Division Two leaders Sussex at Hove.

That game could be an absolute firecracker, pivotal to the final standings.

The other Middlesex game is also an away fixture, against bottom-placed Derbyshire.

Sussex play their penultimate round against Gloucestershire in Bristol.

Yorkshire arguably have a slightly less demanding run away to Glamorgan in Cardiff and then at home against Northants.

  4. 'We're excited about his prospects with the ball'published at 18:02 British Summer Time 12 September

Somerset beat Surrey by 111 runs

Somerset head coach Jason Kerr on Archie Vaughan who finished with 11 wickets:

"What a start to a career he's had!

"He's demonstrated remarkable maturity and skill for someone so young and, if we're honest, inexperienced as an off-spin bowler.

"He's come into the team, fitted in brilliantly.

"We saw the class he possesses with the bat but we're incredibly delighted and excited about his prospects with the ball."

  5. 'He was adamant he wanted to play'published at 17:55 British Summer Time 12 September

Somerset beat Surrey by 111 runs

Somerset head coach Jason Kerr on Tom Banton:

"He's played remarkably well across all formats and I questioned him going out there.

"He's got an injury and we didn't want to make it any worse, but he was adamant he wanted to be out there which is testament to him and how much he loves playing for this team.

"His partnership with Craig Overton, and Craig's partnership with Jack Leach before that took all the sting out of Surrey's momentum and gave us an opportunity."

    Breaking

    Kent 207 & 338 v Hampshire 403 & 24-1

That is that. A crazy end to a stimulating match.

Kent couldn't go down today, but with Notts and Lancs losing they have a better chance of staying up than they did.

That is because of a brilliant rear guard from Jack Leaning (100) and Harry Finch (79) - who put on a new record seventh-wicket stand against Hampshire.

They host Notts next week in a relegation ding-dong.

Somerset head coach Jason Kerr told the club's YouTube channel:

"There were patterns in the game when things happened quickly, then it went quiet for a while and then it happened quickly.

"So we knew that if we created an opportunity, anything could happen.

"Within this group we keep asking the question 'why not' so we kept punching and it was a fantastic finish."

  9. 'It's an incredible way to finish'published at 17:47 British Summer Time 12 September

Somerset beat Surrey by 111 runs

Somerset head coach Jason Kerr told Somerset's YouTube channel:

"I'm incredibly proud. It didn't go smoothly - four-day wins are hard to come by at Taunton but I thought the guys were incredible. They never gave up.

"At times the surface looked incredibly placid, and obviously Sibley and Foakes played brilliantly.

"But we stuck at it and it's an incredible way to finish."

Tom Banton joins in the celebrations on his crutches. He's been magnificent.

It has been the most absorbing game of cricket.
