  1. Postpublished at 11:59 British Summer Time 13 May

    Northants 181-3 - target 558

We keep typing the word 'target' but we're pretty sure that Northants certainly aren't thinking about any kind of chase at this stage.

Nevertheless, Luke Procter greets the introduction of Ajeet Singh Dale by flicking his opening delivery to fine leg for four.

More sublime timing from Karun Nair later in the over as he steers through the covers for four before Dale finds a thick edge, only for the ball to fall well short of second slip.

  2. Hants start second inningspublished at 11:57 British Summer Time 13 May

    Hampshire 503 & 4-0 v Durham 432

Hampshire openers Ali Orr and Fletcha Middleton make their way to the middle.

Matt Potts has the ball for Durham.

And it is changed after one ball!!

The umpires run off the field to get a new one, with players stood with hands in pockets.

    Cricket, eh?

We have a new one and Ali Orr gets off the mark with a four down towards a wide third man.

  3. Postpublished at 11:52 British Summer Time 13 May

    Northants 172-3 - target 558

    Was there a nick? No.

Tom Price relieves namesake Ollie and almost strikes in his first over as Karun Nair shapes to cut.

Keeper James Bracey, standing up to the stumps, politely asks the question and is given an equally polite answer.

  4. Spin for Nottspublished at 11:51 British Summer Time 13 May

    Notts 503 v Lancashire 331 & 133-6

After 10 overs divided between Dillon Pennington and Olly Stone, there is a change of pace in the Notts attack.

The ball is thrown to leggie Calvin Harrison.

There is an LBW appeal from his fourth ball to Matty Hurst, but umpire Tom Lungley quickly turns it down.

Maybe it was pitching outside leg.

Hurst then picks up a couple off the last ball to complete the over.

  5. 'A professional performance from Surrey'published at 11:47 British Summer Time 13 May

    Result: Surrey 89-1 v Warwickshire - target 89

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

It's been a really professional performance over the course of the three and a bit days by Surrey.

They put Warwickshire in and even at 318-8 at the end of the first day Surrey weren't fazed by that. I think they felt that it was probably a below par score.

There's always been something in the surface for the seam bowlers for the first three days.

Warwickshire need to pick up some form and find some wicket taking.

So our Monday morning teaser is to name the player who made his England debut alongside Jimmy Anderson against Zimbabwe in May 2003.

It was a match Nasser Hussain's team won by an innings and 92 runs inside three days.

  7. Postpublished at 11:40 British Summer Time 13 May

    Northants 169-3 - target 558

You won't see better timing than that.

Josh Shaw is slightly wide of off stump and Karun Nair does little more than open the face and it whistles down to third man for four.

Shaw appeals for lbw against the India batter later in the over but that is very optimistic indeed - definitely missing leg stump.

The Glos paceman bangs the next one in and Nair repeats his earlier shot, this time off the back foot, and collects four more. He is nine not out.

  8. SURREY BEAT WARWICKSHIRE BY 9 WICKETSpublished at 11:40 British Summer Time 13 May

    Surrey 89-1 v Warwickshire - target 89 (play starts 11:00)

The double champions are back on top of Division One after taking a maximum 24 points from a thumping win.

Dom Sibley finishes unbeaten on 46 while Ollie Pope strikes the winning runs to finish 13*.

Warwickshire battled gamely in the opening two days but the loss of Craig Miles at the mid-way point did them no favours.

Jamie Smith's 155, Kemar Roach's six wickets and Sean Abbott's sublime caught and bowled will live long in the memory.

  9. 'Second wicket in first-class cricket for Bethell'published at 11:39 British Summer Time 13 May

    Surrey 86-1 v Warwickshire - target 89

    Melinda Farrell
    Sports broadcaster/journalist

Some reward there for Jacob Bethell, he didn't get any reward in the first innings. In fact that is just his second wicket in first-class wicket.

He got the wicket of David Bedingham when Warwickshire played Durham and now he's got he's got the scalp of Rory Burns and that's a pretty good one to have as well.

  10. wicket

DURHAM ALL OUT FOR 432published at 11:37 British Summer Time 13 May

    Hampshire 503 v Durham 432 all out

A tame dismissal from Durham's last man Peter Siddle as he sweeps a ball from Felix Organ to a short fine leg.

He goes for two and Ben Raine is left unbeaten on 52.

Organ ends with 4-101 along with Liam Dawson's 5-184.

Hampshire lead by 71 runs. What will their approach be when they come out to bat again?

  11. 50 runs

50 for Ben Rainepublished at 11:32 British Summer Time 13 May

    Hampshire 503 v Durham 431-9

That is how you reach a 50!

Liam Dawson gives it a bit of flight, but Ben Raine goes after it and slog sweeps it over deep backward square for six.

It has taken Raine 94 balls, but it's a second half-century of the season after a 93 against Warwickshire last month.

  12. Postpublished at 11:32 British Summer Time 13 May

    Surrey 78-1 v Warwickshire - target 89

Surrey are expending the minimum of energy in strolling to victory.

No running singles here, a couple of boundaries for Ollie Pope and two for Dom Sibley, who is 40*, haul them ever closer to the line.

  13. Postpublished at 11:31 British Summer Time 13 May

    Notts 503 v Lancashire 331 & 125-6

Another boundary from Tom Hartley, and again it has an element of luck as it goes through a vacant third slip area, just after Will Young had been moved from there.

But that's better off the next ball, a good shot through cover for a better-looking four.

    Hartley moves on to 37.

WICKET Scrimshaw c Bracey b Shaw 7published at 11:31 British Summer Time 13 May

    Northants 159-3 - target 558

George Scrimshaw attempts an ambitious drive off Josh Shaw and tickles it through to the keeper.

Karun Nair comes out to join Luke Procter for Northants. This may be the key partnership if they are to avoid defeat in this game.

  15. Leaning innings reaches nine hourspublished at 11:30 British Summer Time 13 May

    Kent 379-8 v Worcestershire 618-7 dec

No news from Canterbury is good news, from a Kent perspective.

Jack Leaning's marathon effort has reached nine hours - that's the amount of time it takes to fly direct from London to Mumbai.

He has faced 372 balls, the last of which, from Nathan Smith, was banged in short and thudded into his helmet, sending him rolling onto the floor. He'll have to see the physio before he can continue his knock of 158*.

Kent trail by 239 runs with 88 overs remaining in the day.

  16. wicket

WICKET Parkinson b Organ 18published at 11:26 British Summer Time 13 May

    Hampshire 503 v Durham 422-9

Hampshire have a first wicket of the day.

Felix Organ is twirling away and as Callum Parkinson goes to defend, the ball rolls off his bat and back towards the stumps where the bails are disturbed.

Slightly unfortunate as Parkinson's 68-ball effort is ended.

  17. 'Will Lancashire be able to drag this one out?'published at 11:25 British Summer Time 13 May

    Notts 503 v Lancashire 331 & 115-6

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

Will Lancashire be able to drag this one out like Nottinghamshire did yesterday and then go on to produce a sensational partnership?

That might flip this contest on its head a little bit but Notts were favourites going into this fourth and final day.

They need four more wickets and that will be job done, it'll be an innings victory unless Lancashire can get 72 or more and void that innings defeat and make Notts bat again.

  18. wicket

WICKET: Burns c Davies b Bethell 30published at 11:21 British Summer Time 13 May

    Surrey 65-1 v Warwickshire - target 89

    Oh.

Rory Burns has cracked Jacob Bethell straight to Alex Davies at mid-on and won't be there to see his side over the line.

Ollie Pope joins Dom Sibley with 24 runs required.

    Notts 503 v Lancashire 331 & 114-6

Tom Hartley batting for LancashireImage source, Rex Features

Dillon Pennington gets a false shot out of Tom Hartley as the ball squirts wide of third slip and runs down for four.

That moves this partnership along to 53 for him and Matty Hurst.

However, these two Lancashire batters have so much work to do in this match.

  20. 50 runs

50 for Luke Procterpublished at 11:20 British Summer Time 13 May

    Northants 156-2 - target 558

    Luke ProcterImage source, Rex Features

Luke Procter drives through backward point, the fielder takes some of the pace off it, but it has just enough legs to kiss the boundary rope and take the Northants left-hander to 50 off 120 balls.

No major alarms yet for the home side. Ollie Price, a cross breeze ruffling the back of his shirt, continues from the other end.
