    Notts 33-2 v Warwickshire

The Warwickshire players have taken the field and are joined by Notts batters Freddie McCann and Joe Clarke as we make a late start at Trent Bridge.

Tea will be at 15:20, with 75.4 overs now scheduled for the day.

Clarke is yet to face a ball after Ben Slater's dismissal shortly before the early close on day one, and McCann resets again on four.

Ed Barnard with four balls left to finish his interrupted eighth over. The sun is shining brightly. Play!

  2. Postpublished at 12:59 British Summer Time

    Glamorgan 61-0 v Gloucestershire

Four runs to Asa Tribe, cutting Tom Price past point.

Tribe defends a straighter delivery down the ground.

A leg side ball is clipped square for a single.

Will Smale is forward, playing and missing with a defensive push.

An encouraging over for Gloucestershire, who are finding some movement with the ball.

But a couple of edges haven't carried.

  3. Cricket in the West Country!published at 12:54 British Summer Time

    Somerset 136 v Hants 62-5

    Now we have play!

Toby Albert, who had that life dropped by Kasey Aldridge at second slip off Lewis Gregory which could have made Hants 0-2, is back out with Felix Organ.

Organ is a better bat than number seven suggests, often opening or at three when the main men are injured, similar to the Lewis Goldsworthy mould with a part-time spin option too.

Gregory to bowl the first over.

  4. Postpublished at 12:53 British Summer Time

    Glamorgan 56-0 v Gloucestershire

This hasn't been plain sailing for Glamorgan by any means, but a bright start even so.

Will Smale plays inside the line, allowing the ball to go through to keeper James Bracey.

He'll give this ball the treatment though, lacing a full delivery well outside off stump through cover for four.

He'll get two more driven with a thick edge to deep third.

  5. Play abandoned at New Roadpublished at 12:53 British Summer Time

Worcs 119-7 v Lancs - no play on Friday, wet outfield

Just before we get some play at Taunton and Trent Bridge, news of a fourth abandonment on day two.

The outfield is too wet in Worcester and the umpires have called it off.

Not good news for Lancashire, who need to win to stand any realistic chance of staying in Division One.

  6. Postpublished at 12:50 British Summer Time

    Glamorgan 50-0 v Gloucestershire

Double bowling change. Tom Price is coming on at the River End.

Two slips and a gully are in place.

The first ball is jabbed down late by Asa Tribe, almost guiding the ball into the stumps on the bounce!

Tribe tries to clip a ball to leg but hasn't timed it. No run.

He connects with the fifth ball though, which is whipped through square leg for four.

    That's the innings 50 in 11.5 overs.

  7. Postpublished at 12:45 British Summer Time

    Glamorgan 46-0 v Gloucestershire

Archie Bailey's first delivery is wide and crashed away through the off side by Will Smale for four.

Bailey tightens his line and Smale leaves the ball outside off stump.

He tries to force one ball square into the off side but the ball is blocked at point.

  8. Postpublished at 12:42 British Summer Time

    Glamorgan 42-0 v Gloucestershire

Ajeet Singh-Dale will continue from the River End.

Will Smale is forward, pushing into the off side for one.

Asa Tribe plays and misses the third ball, then ducks under a bouncer.

A better over for Gloucestershire, costing just the single.

A change of bowling from the Cathedral Road End.

    Archie Bailey is coming on.

  9. Postpublished at 12:36 British Summer Time

    Glamorgan 41-0 v Gloucestershire

Asa Tribe leaves Matt Taylor outside off and then follows a leg side ball without making contact.

Good take by keeper James Bracey.

Taylor is getting the ball to cut back a bit off the seam but Tribe still leaves the ball safely.

He's a bit squared up by one ball, defending to mid off.

He'll get runs off the last ball of the over, full and driven down the ground for four, beating Gloucestershire captain Graeme van Buuren to the rope.

  11. Postpublished at 12:33 British Summer Time

    Glamorgan 37-0 v Gloucestershire

Ajeet Singh-Dale tries to draw Asa Tribe into a shot outside off but the ball is left alone.

The third delivery is called no ball for overstepping.

Tribe drives the next ball through backward point for four.

A neat push into cover on the back foot brings a single.

Shot! Full and a it wide outside off and Will Smale drives through cover for four runs.

11 runs off that over and the scoreboard is ticking over sharply.

  12. dropped catch

Will Smale dropped on 17published at 12:27 British Summer Time

    Glamorgan 26-0 v Gloucestershire

Will Smale is forward to Matt Taylor, clipping firmly to backward square leg for four runs.

He pushes forward and edges the ball to keeper James Bracey, diving in front of Chris Dent at first slip.

    Missed an attempted one-handed grab.

It might not have carried to first slip.

That will cost at least four runs as Smale dispatches a leg side ball square on the front foot.

  13. All set for 12:55 BST start in Tauntonpublished at 12:27 British Summer Time

    Somerset 136 v Hants 62-5

    Harry Everett
    BBC Sport from Taunton

Play is set to resume in about 30 minutes with tea at 15:20 BST.

76 overs to be bowled in the day, which should not be a problem with plenty of spin to be used.

The players have been netting on the square and Lewis Gregory is now in his whites.

Two long sessions, and with 15 wickets yesterday could there still be a two-day result today?

  14. Postpublished at 12:22 British Summer Time

    Glamorgan 18-0 v Gloucestershire

Frustration for Ajeet Singh-Dale as Asa Tribe edges short of Ollie Price at second slip.

Not a chance this time but annoying for Gloucestershire nonetheless.

Tribe drives and misses! Not far from the edge at all.

    Maiden over.

  16. Near miss for Smale on 13published at 12:19 British Summer Time

    Glamorgan 18-0 v Gloucestershire

Matt Taylor bowls a very full length ball to Will Smale, who defends to mid on.

Smale continues to live a charmed life as he goes forward and edges the ball just short of Ollie Price at second slip.

Could he have got forward to that? Possibly. He looks unhappy.

    Maiden over.

  17. Play to start at Trent Bridge at 13:00 BSTpublished at 12:16 British Summer Time

    Notts 33-2 v Warwickshire

More good news - cricket is breaking out all over.

The umpires have said play can start at 13:00 over in Nottingham after the morning session was lost.

We've had just 15.2 overs so far after four sessions, so fingers cross for no more interruptions.

Both these teams are looking to pick up as many points as possible to guarantee their safety in Division One.

  18. Postpublished at 12:15 British Summer Time

    Glamorgan 18-0 v Gloucestershire

Just the single off Matt Taylor's second over.

A bit more luck for Will Smale, who gets an inside edge fine for four going forward to try and block.

Smale gets a leg bye off the fifth ball and Asa Tribe is squared up, edging wide of the slip cordon to deep third for his first runs.

    Four of them.

  19. Postpublished at 12:11 British Summer Time

    Glamorgan 8-0 v Gloucestershire

Four runs for Will Smale, driving Ajeet Singh-Dale down the ground as the bowler is too full.

Smale is squared up a bit as he defends to mid off and there's a near run out as Smale works a ball off his hip for two and gets lucky with a slightly loose return throw from Matt Taylor to keeper James Bracey.

He keeps the strike with an inside edge behind square leg.

  20. Postpublished at 12:03 British Summer Time

    Glamorgan 1-0 v Gloucestershire

A bit of width outside off stump to start with and Will Smale leaves the ball alone.

Smale gets off the mark with an inside edge to fine leg for his first runs in Championship cricket.

Asa Tribe sees out the over leaving the ball outside off.

That ball nipped back a bit.
