    Kent 244 v Lancs 343-2

Josh Bohannon faces Charlie Stobo, armed with the second new ball, on 149.

The first ball is into the pads and glanced into the on side for two runs to pass 150 in 265 balls with 22 fours.

Superb innings from the Lancashire number three.

His career best is 231 and that might be under threat if he survives this session of play.

  2. wicket

WICKET Madsen c Davies b Brookes 49published at 16:43 British Summer Time 24 June

    Middx 433 v Derbys 168-3

    Where did that come from?

Wayne Madsen is denied a 50 as Henry Brookes gets one to rear up at the Derbyshire batter from just short of a length.

Madsen tries to drop his hands but the ball takes the glove and keeper Jack Davies takes the catch.

  3. Postpublished at 16:42 British Summer Time 24 June

    Worcs 83-3 v Surrey 490

Surrey man of the moment Dan Lawrence is continuing his spell after tea, but gives Jake Libby too much width and the Worcestershire opener cuts him away for four.

Libby is 34 not out, with Adam Hose on five at the other end.

  4. Postpublished at 16:41 British Summer Time 24 June

    Kent 244 v Lancs 341-2

Lovely shot from George Bell, pushing O'Riordan into the off side for four.

Four more driven through point. The fourth ball of the over yeilds four more between cover and mid off, beating Beyers Swanepoel to the fence.

  5. Postpublished at 16:39 British Summer Time 24 June

    Notts 360 v Somerset 174-2

There's plenty of oohs and aahs from the close-in fielders as Calvin Harrison whirls away.

More out of hope than expectation it's fair to say.

Harrison's length is immaculate, though, giving it some flight, and Tom Abell has to be watchful in defence before turning the fifth ball for a single through midwicket. Tidy stuff.

Olly Stone is on at the Stuart Broad End for his 10th over.

  6. 'Nice start from Walter after tea'published at 16:39 British Summer Time 24 June

The sun is still blazing here at Chelmsford but there's a nice breeze blowing across as well.

It's been a nice start from Paul Walter after tea.

He's just feeling his way back into the red-ball side, having missed much of the season with a broken toe.

  7. Postpublished at 16:38 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwks 254 v Hants 298 & 5-1

    Maiden from Oliver Hannon-Dalby.

Chris Woakes continues from the Birmingham End and Fletcha Middleton gets an inside edge running the ball to backward square leg for two runs.

Middleton chops the ball wide of the stump and wide of keeper Michael Burgess. Nervous times for Hampshire.

  8. 300 runs

300 up for Glamorganpublished at 16:38 British Summer Time 24 June

    Northants 279 v Glamorgan 300-5

Chris Cooke takes a single off Justin Broad and Glamorgan have their second batting point.

Cooke is now 32 not out, with Timm van der Gugten on 13.

  9. Play resumes at Trent Bridgepublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 24 June

    Notts 360 v Somerset 173-2

Things are far from desperate yet, but Nottinghamshire will be keen to make inroads sooner rather than later as Tom Lammonby and Tom Abell resume their 105-run partnership after tea.

Conditions look perfect for batting as Somerset look to chip away at the deficit and keep pace with Division One's top two.

Spinner Calvin Harrison is entrusted with the first over after tea from the Radcliffe Road End.

  10. Postpublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 24 June

    Kent 244 v Lancs 327-2

George Bell is back and across to Matt Parkinson, defending down the ground.

Josh Bohannon faces Marcus O'Riordan on 147.

He gets a single off the third ball, moving forward and pushing into the off side.

Bell gets his first four cutting behind square on the off side.

  11. Postpublished at 16:32 British Summer Time 24 June

    Essex 133-4 v Durham 587

Colin Ackermann opens with a loosener and Paul Walter cashes in, turning the half-tracker around the corner for a boundary.

Walter then whips the third ball legside for a second four of the over.

    Nice start for the hosts.

Matthew Potts is straight back on after tea, hunting a third wicket.

  12. Postpublished at 16:30 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwks 254 v Hants 298 & 3-1

Chris Woakes is bowling to Fletcha Middleton.

Oddly enough, both players sport a number 19 on their shirts.

Middleton gets a bumper and sways out of the way at the last moment.

    Good leg cutter.

The last ball of the over is punched out to square leg for two.

  13. Play resumes at Chelmsfordpublished at 16:29 British Summer Time 24 June

    Essex 125-4 v Durham 587

Essex have been very much on the backfoot for the first two days, and with leaders Surrey dominating at Worcester badly need a good evening session.

Durham are in total control as it stands after chipping away with four wickets this afternoon.

We have 32 overs left to play.

Matt Critchley and Paul Walter are back in the middle, and Colin Ackermann is into the attack. Let's play.

  14. wicket

    WICKET Wells c Stobo b O'Riordan 150published at 16:25 British Summer Time 24 June

    Kent 244 v Lancs 319-2

Kent have a wicket. Repeat - Kent have a wicket.

Luke Wells is stuck on the crease, driving at Marcus O'Riordan, edging the ball to Charlie Stobo at slip.

Good, juggling catch just below waist height.

George Bell is in at four for the Red Rose.

  15. Tea at Hovepublished at 16:25 British Summer Time 24 June

    Sussex 442 v Leicestershire 210-6

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

A battling session for Leicestershire inching closer to avoiding a potential follow on, largely through the efforts of Wiaan Mulder and Peter Handscomb, both of whom scored half centuries.

Handscomb is still there at tea, his 66 coming off 147 balls and he looks the key in holding this innings together

The pitch is still a good one, although offering bounce for the seamers, and with Jack Carson picking up a wicket the spinners may play an important role over the next two days

  16. wicket

    WICKET Albert c Bethell b Hannon-Dalby 1published at 16:25 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwks 254 & v Hants 298 & 1-1

Just the single off the Chris Woakes over, coming from the last ball so Tony Albert retains the strike as the opener works the ball to backward square leg.

    He's out now.

Oliver Hannon-Dalby draws Albert forward and the ball flies off the edge of a defensive bat to a diving Jacob Bethell, taking the ball low at third slip.

    Nick Gubbins is in early.

  17. 150 runs

150 for Luke Wellspublished at 16:19 British Summer Time 24 June

    Kent 244 v Lancs 313-1

Luke Wells is forward to leg spinner Matt Parkinson, sweeping square for one to reach his 150.

This has been a superb knock from the Lancashire opener.

He reaches the landmark off 243 balls with 20 fours and a six.

His career best is 258 by the way.

This is however comfortably his highest score this season.

His previous best this summer was 55.

  18. Tea at Lord'spublished at 16:19 British Summer Time 24 June

    Middlesex 433 v Derbyshire 166-2

Derbyshire pick up four singles off Luke Hollman as Luis Reece and Wayne Madsen go into tea with their partnership worth 109.

Reece is 64 not out and Madsen needs two more runs to reach his 50, having faced 74 balls so far.

Middlesex were bowled out for 433 earlier in the day following a10th-wicket stand of 71 between Ryan Higgins - who was last to go for 163 - and Ethan Bamber.

  19. Play resumes at Edgbastonpublished at 16:18 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwks 254 v Hants 298 & 0-0

The Hampshire lead is a slender 44 and honours would certainly be even if Warwickshire strike early in this session.

35 overs left today as the tea interval was taken as soon as Warwickshire's first innings closed.

Fletcha Middleton will once again open with Tony Albert and Albert takes guard first, facing Chris Woakes.

  20. Tea at Scarboroughpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 24 June

    Yorkshire 456 v Gloucestershire 97-2

Tea is taken at North Marine Road immediately after Ben Charlesworth is caught behind off Matthew Revis for 45.

That was a fine delivery by the Yorkshire bowler but they have had to work hard for the two wickets they have taken so far - Cameron Bancroft going for 29, caught at slip off Jordan Thompson.

Ollie Price is 17 not out, having hit spinner Dom Bess for six over mid-wicket.
