  1. Tea at New Roadpublished at 16:14 British Summer Time 24 June

    Worcestershire 74-3 v Surrey 490

James Taylor bowls a maiden to Jake Libby to end the afternoon session at New Road.

It's been a tough one for Worcestershire, especially when Dan Lawrence hit five successive sixes in an over which cost Shoaib Bashir 38 runs.

Lawrence was eventually last man out for 175 and the home side have lost three wickets in 26 overs since starting their reply - all three caught behind by Ben Foakes, but Libby remains on 30 not out.

  2. Postpublished at 16:14 British Summer Time 24 June

    Kent 244 v Lancs 311-1

Matt Parkinson tosses the ball up to Josh Bohannon, delivering a wide in an otherwise tidy over costing just three runs.

We're not taking the new ball yet and Marcus O'Riordan will continue.

Good line from O'Riordan with a hint of loop and turn outside off.

    Maiden over.

  3. Tea at Trent Bridgepublished at 16:13 British Summer Time 24 June

    Notts 360 v Somerset 173-2

Dane Paterson takes the final over of the afternoon session.

Tom Lammonby and Tom Abell take a single each and that will do us.

The pair have batted Somerset into a strong position at tea, trailing by 187 runs with eight wickets in hand.

Somerset resumed on 60-1 after lunch and soon lost Tom Kohler-Cadmore.

The Notts attack stuck to their task well, but the two Toms have added an unbroken 105-run stand to seize the initiative.

  4. Durham dominant in Chelmsfordpublished at 16:11 British Summer Time 24 June

    Essex 125-4 v Durham 587

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Durham's total of 587 was their highest against Essex. They had Essex in the field for four sessions in the heat before they were out just before lunch.

The follow-on target is 436 and at the moment that looks a long way off with the hosts four down at tea. But in this heat, would Durham bowl two innings straight off anyway?

Nick Browne, who was dropped in the slips on 10, eventually perished eight runs later, caught behind off Matty Potts for 18. Potts later bowled the dangerous Jordan Cox for 32 as well.

There were big celebrations among the Durham players when Dean Elgar was out for 40, caught at first slip by Scott Borthwick off the bowling of Peter Siddle.

The other wicket saw skipper Tom Westley fall lbw to Ben Raine for 24.

  5. 300 stand for Bohannon and Wellspublished at 16:10 British Summer Time 24 June

    Kent 244 v Lancs 307-1

Josh Bohannon is back and across to spinner Marcus O'Riordan, pushing the spinner through cover point for two to take the second wicket partnership to 300 in 463 balls.

This has been an epic stand.

  6. Play resumes at Canterburypublished at 16:07 British Summer Time 24 June

    Kent 244 v Lancs 305-1

What do Kent need to do to take wickets here?

Will they take the new ball straight away or leave it till just before stumps?

The pitch is playing well plus Josh Bohannon and Luke Wells have put together a record stand for the Red Rose against this opposition, playing with fluency and confidence.

Bohannon will face spinner Marcus O'Riordan on 136 not out.

    Luke Wells has 148.

  7. Tea at Chelmsfordpublished at 16:06 British Summer Time 24 June

    Essex 125-4 v Durham 587

Matthew Potts has the ball for the final over before tea.

Paul Walter takes a two off the first ball and then defends the next three. A single takes Tall Paul to five before Matt Critchley blocks out the final ball.

Durham's tea time cuppa will taste mighty good after a superb afternoon's work.

They have taken four wickets and are still a commanding 462 runs ahead.

Essex resumed on 10-0 after lunch and have lost openers Nick Browne (18) and Dean Elgar (40), skipper Tom Westley for 24, and Jordan Cox (32).

Potts has starred with the ball, taking 2 for 34.

  8. 50 for Tom Abellpublished at 16:02 British Summer Time 24 June

    Notts 360 v Somerset 165-2

Tom Abell reaches fifty for the 35th time in his first-class career as he punches a loose Calvin Harrison full toss across the boundary rope.

It’s been a patient, well-paced knock, coming off 101 balls with seven fours and it’s his first of the Championship season.

It’s only his second match of the campaign, mind you.

Abell helps himself to another boundary in Harrison's next over which takes the third-wicket stand with Tom Lammonby to three figures. Suddenly, things look a little ominous for Notts.

  9. wicket

WICKET Jones c Foakes b Taylor 9published at 16:00 British Summer Time 24 June

    Worcs 73-3 v Surrey 490

James Taylor's first over in this season's County Championship and he has the wicket of Rob Jones.

The Worcestershire batter is surprised by extra bounce and Ben Foakes holds his third catch of the innings in front of his face as he moves to his right.

  10. 'Lawrence's action is isn't that unconventional'published at 16:00 British Summer Time 24 June

    Worcs 68-2 v Surrey 490

    Frank Watson
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

I think we're going to see a bit of Dan Lawrence before tea. He's going to have a little twirl with his off spin.

People say that he's not got a conventional action but my argument is that his action itself isn't that unconventional.

It's just how he gets into that action because his arms move around a lot. Both arms move together but when he gets there and once he's actually into a delivery stride it's not that unconventional.

  11. WARWICKSHIRE ALL OUT FOR 254published at 15:58 British Summer Time 24 June
    Breaking

    Warwks 254 v Hants 298

The field is set deep for Michael Burgess.

But there's no stopping the fourth ball of the Muhammad Abbas over, moving across and shovelling the ball over fine leg for four.

    Out!

Michael Burgess has played on to Muhammad Abbas and the innings gap is 44.

Abbas wraps up the innings but Keith Barker is the hero of the hour with 6-74.

He walks off with the ball to an applauding crowd. That's tea.

  12. Postpublished at 15:56 British Summer Time 24 June

    Sussex 442 v Leics 197-5

He's not quite in Dan Lawrence mode - five successive sixes - but the boundaries are flowing for Louis Kimber at Hove.

After three in an over off Danny Lamb, he punches Nathan McAndrew away for another at the start of the next to move to 28 not out.

WICKET Cox b Potts 32published at 15:54 British Summer Time 24 June

    Essex 120-4 v Durham 587

Jordan Cox is bowledImage source, Rex Features

    Big wicket!

Jordan Cox takes a wild swing outside off stump at a Matthew Potts ball which jags back in and smacks into top of off.

Cox is Essex's leading run scorer this season and averaged 72 before this match. No wonder Potts looks so pleased with that.

Paul Walter joins Matt Critchley with much work to do.

  14. wicket

WICKET Miles b Abbott 14published at 15:53 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwks 250-9 v Hants 298

The 250 and a batting point arrive for Warwickshire in the 72nd over via an edge off the shoulder of the bat of Craig Miles for four.

That ball from Kyle Abbott flew off the outside edge as Miles was forward to block.

And now he's out. A fuller ball, beating the bat and clipping the top of the stumps.

Time for Oliver Hannon-Dalby to pad up.

  15. Tea at Sophia Gardenspublished at 15:53 British Summer Time 24 June

    Glamorgan 268-5 v Northants 279

Just 11 runs separate the teams in Cardiff, where Glamorgan have added 109 during the afternoon session for the loss of three wickets.

The big one from a Northants perspective was Marnus Labuschagne, who missed out on a hundred when he was lbw to Justin Broad for 93.

Kiran Carlson made 71 before falling to Luke Procter and Chris Cooke is 15 not out at the interval, with Timm van der Gugten on one.

  16. Tea at Canterburypublished at 15:50 British Summer Time 24 June

    Kent 244 v Lancs 305-1

The Red Rose go into tea in complete control with Luke Wells and Josh Bohannon playing their best respective innings of the summer to date.

Wells is just shy of 150 on 148 not out and Josh Bohannon has 136.

A breakthrough for Kent feels a long way off and at this point the likeliest route to a breakthrough is an over confident batting error.

  17. Division Two updatepublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 24 June

Luis Reece reaches 50 from 111 balls with a boundary off Henry Brookes for Derbyshire against Middlesex at Lord's - they are 145-2 in the 35th over.

Louis Kimber drives Danny Lamb for four at the start of a new over and Leicestershire are 184-5 against Sussex at Hove.

Ben Charlesworth square cuts for four at Scarborough, where Gloucestershire are 77-1, having dismissed Yorkshire for 456.

  18. 150 up for Somersetpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 24 June

    Notts 360 v Somerset 152-2

Yet another delay at Trent Bridge as Notts skipper Haseeb Hameed ask the umpires to take another look at the ball.

After a couple of unsuccessful attempts, Neil Mallender and Ben Debenham agree.

The suitcase of used cherries comes out after 44.4 overs and a similarly old ball is decided on.

The replacement isn't of immediate use for the Notts bowlers as Tom Abell steers his sixth four of the innings to move Somerset past the 150 mark.

  19. Postpublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwks 246-8 v Hants 298

Craig Miles is beaten by the first ball but he lofts the third ball over mid wicket for four.

Goodness me! Four more clipped through mid wicket.

He's making this look quite easy. He'll keep the strike too as the last ball is run away square on the off side for one.

  20. Postpublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwks 237-8 v Hants 298

Michael Burgess finds a gap and works the fifth ball of the Kyle Abbott over square on the on side for one.

Craig Miles drives straight and the ball rolls safely to mid on and the Warwickshire number 10 will face Keith Barker...
