    Notts 360 v Somerset 220-2

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

Tom Lammonby is now the highest scorer in the match.

He's gone past Olly Stone's 83 and is going to be facing the third different bowler from the Stuart Broad End since tea.

  2. Postpublished at 17:18 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwks 254 v Hants 298 & 32-1

Ed Barnard is round the wicket to Nick Gubbins, who plays defensively into mid wicket.

Maiden over and this game is shaping up to be a very even contest.

  3. SIXpublished at 17:15 British Summer Time 24 June

    Essex 178-4 v Durham 587

A lovely looking drive is denied the run it deserved as Matt Critchley's cover drive off Bas de Leede picks out the fielder at extra cover.

Just the Paul Walter single off the over.

Callum Parkinson returns to the attack and Walter welcomes him back by going down on one knee and sweeping him over the square leg boundary for six.

Not for the first time today, the umpires pick through the box of used balls for a replacement.

  4. wicket

WICKET Brookes c Pope b Clark 5published at 17:14 British Summer Time 24 June

    Worcs 99-5 v Surrey 490

Looking very bleak for Worcestershire now.

Ethan Brookes is squared up by Jordan Clark and Ollie Pope hangs onto a sprawling catch at slip.

Matthew Waite is the new batter, while Jake Libby continues to play pretty much a lone hand on 40 not out.

  5. Postpublished at 17:14 British Summer Time 24 June

    Kent 244 v Lancs 355-4

Beyers Swanepoel drifts into the pads of Josh Bohannon, who taps the ball through mid wicket for one.

Matty Hurst drives but can't get the ball past Daniel Bell-Drummond at mid off.

He remains on nought after eight deliveries as Kent have gained a bit of control since taking the second new ball.

  6. Postpublished at 17:10 British Summer Time 24 June

    Worcs 94-4 v Surrey 490

Time for James Taylor to take a break after a spell of 2-11 from seven overs. Very much 'Sweet Baby James' from Surrey's point of view.

Jordan Clark takes up the attack. We haven't seen him for a while so he should be pretty fresh.

  7. Postpublished at 17:09 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwks 254 v Hants 298 & 30-1

Lovely shot from Fletcha Middleton, putting away a leg stump half volley from Oliver Hannon-Dalby away through mid wicket for four runs.

He leaves outside off to end the over.

There seems to be a bit less movement of late in this Edgbaston pitch and Hampshire appear to be settling after the early loss of Toby Albert.

  8. wicket

    WICKET c O'Riordan b Swanepoel 0published at 17:05 British Summer Time 24 June

    Kent 244 v Lancs 353-4

George Bell was out to the last ball of Charlie Stobo's over and now George Lavelle has gone first ball.

He's squared up and caught on the crease by Beyers Swanepoel, edging to Marcus O'Riordan at second slip off the shoulder of the bat.

Good tumbling catch just above head height.

Matty Hurst is in next. The lead is more than handy but Lancashire are losing their way a little against this second new ball.

  9. 50 partnershippublished at 17:04 British Summer Time 24 June

    Essex 170-4 v Durham 587

Paul Walter clips Callum Parkinson away for a single to bring up a 50 partnership with Matt Critchley for the fifth wicket, made from just 69 balls.

They came together before tea with Essex in a deep hole and have recovered well.

But Durham have a lot of runs to play with and this pair will need to add a whole lot more.

  10. Division Two updatepublished at 17:03 British Summer Time 24 June

Timm van der Gugten hits two successive fours through the covers off Luke Procter and Glamorgan are 326-5 at Sophia Gardens, 47 runs to the good against Northants.

Luis Reece is now 81 not out for Derbyshire at Lord's - they are 191-3 in the 48th over against Middlesex.

Ben Cox square cuts Jack Carson for four and Leicestershire are 237-6, replying to Sussex's 442 all out. Peter Handscomb is 76 not out.

Just a couple of singles from the last three overs at Scarborough, where Gloucestershire are 120-2, 336 behind Yorkshire's first-innings total.

  11. 200 up for Somersetpublished at 17:02 British Summer Time 24 June

    Notts 360 v Somerset 202-2

Calvin Harrison drops a little short and Tom Lammonby looks to steer it away to the short boundary for a four.

Olly Stone's efforts denies him the boundary, but they come back for two to bring up the 200 in the 62nd over.

  12. Welcome backpublished at 16:59 British Summer Time 24 June

    Essex 168-4 v Durham 587

Bas de Leede is brought into the attack, just days after returning from international duties with the Netherlands in the T20 World Cup.

Paul Walter takes his third ball for four and then adds a single.

A fantastic piece of fielding from Colin Ackermann in the gully keeps Matt Critchley down to further a single.

WICKET Bell b Stobo 26published at 16:57 British Summer Time 24 June

    Kent 244 v Lancs 352-3

    Charlie StoboImage source, Rex Features

George Bell tucks in to a leg side half volley from Charlie Stobo, clipping through the on side for four to take Lancashire to 350 in the 92nd over.

But he's out two balls later, playing around a straightening ball and guiding it gently into the stumps.

Very frustrating way to get out.

One George replaces another as George Lavelle comes into the middle to join Josh Bohannon.

  14. Postpublished at 16:57 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwks 254 v Hants 298 & 15-1

Nick Gubbins pulls a short ball from Oliver Hannon-Dalby for two and leaves the next ball on a fuller length outside off stump.

The runs have slowed to a trickle here as Hampshire strive to get through the new ball.

  15. wicket

WICKET Hose c Foakes b Taylor 10published at 16:53 British Summer Time 24 June

    Worcs 89-4 v Surrey 490

Not really the shot for these circumstances.

Adam Hose throws everything at a wide one from James Taylor and that's four out of four for England keeper Ben Foakes.

Worcestershire appear to have a long tail in this particular game because of injuries.

Ethan Brookes is in at six for only his fifth innings in first-class cricket.

  16. Postpublished at 16:52 British Summer Time 24 June

    Notts 360 v Somerset 192-2

The tea break has sharpened the Nottinghamshire bowlers, with Calvin Harrison, in particular, causing a few problems.

An athletic diving stop from Lyndon James on the boundary to keep Tom Abell down to a two off Olly Stone's bowling underlines the commitment.

But that's lovely from Tom Abell who unfurls a fine straight drive to send Stone's final ball for four. His best shot of the day.

Abell is up to 64 and the deficit is 168 runs.

  17. Postpublished at 16:51 British Summer Time 24 June

    Yorks 490 v Gloucs 113-2

    Great shot.

Ollie Price comes down the track to Dom Bess and hoists it handsomely over long-on for six. He is 26 not out.

  18. Postpublished at 16:50 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwks 254 v Hants 298 & 12-1

Oliver Hannon-Dalby is bowling a tight line to Fletcha Middleton, who leaves a little dangerously as the ball -nips back and bounces a whisker over the stumps.

He's subsequently a little squared up in defence but survives the over.

Chris Woakes is out of the attack for now and Ed Barnard is coming on.

  19. 'Bears need to make most of new ball'published at 16:48 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwks 254 v Hants 298 & 10-1

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

It's imperative that Warwickshire make the most of this new ball.

They'll still be a little bit of movement around. We've seen in both innings even with an old ball it's been a little bit there but of course it will move more frequently with the hard ball.

  20. 150 up for Essexpublished at 16:47 British Summer Time 24 June

    Essex 153-4 v Durham 587

Matt Critchley gets a thick edge to a Matthew Potts delivery and it flies wide of the slips to the third man boundary.

It's his first boundary, albeit of the streaky variety.

    Now that's more convincing.

Critchley whips Colin Ackermann over the long on boundary, almost into the upper tier of the stand for six.

It also brings up the 150 in the 41st over.
