Nervy moments for the Somerset man.

    Glamorgan 222-2 v Northants 279

Justin Broad is wide outside off stump and Kiran Carlson crashes it square for four to pass 50 for the fifth time this season.

The bowler may still be cursing his luck after Carlson edged him between the keeper and first slip earlier in the over and neither moved.

This half-century took him 74 balls, and included seven fours.

George Garrett is back in the attack but his fourth ball is too leg side and glanced fine by Josh Bohannon for four.

That brings up the 200 partnership in 318 balls.

    He's on 96.

Luke Wells is five short of a century of his own and he's back and across to leg spinner Matt Parkinson to defend.

Parkinson is very wide with his fourth ball and straightens up for the last two of the over. Maiden over.

    Warwks 174-6 v Hants 298

Runs are starting to flow for Warwickshire after the early loss of Dan Mousley since lunch.

Seven singles come off the latest Muhammad Abbas over and James Fuller is carefully milked for singles at the other end.

Keith Barker has the ball and takes it to the umpires asking for it to be changed. That's a no.

Fuller bangs the ball in short and then goes full, restricting the scoring to three for the over.

Kyle Abbott is coming back on at the Pavilion End.

There's barely a cloud in the sky and the sun is shining brightly. Time to make hay.

  14. 'Kent desperately need a wicket'published at 14:23 British Summer Time 24 June

    Kent 244 v Lancs 202-1

    Ben Watts
    BBC Radio Kent

It's Lancashire who are on top in this game.

Kent haven't managed to get any wickets so far today.

The very experienced batting pair of Luke Wells and Josh Bohannon have dominated proceedings.

We'd expect the spinners to have a lot of work to do this afternoon and Kent will look to try and rotate the seam bowlers at the other end but they desperately need a wicket.

  15. Division Two updatepublished at 14:22 British Summer Time 24 June

    Toby Roland-JonesImage source, Rex Features

No joy since lunch for Sussex, with Leicestershire progressing to 114-4 - Peter Handscomb is 41 not out and Wiaan Mulder has 24.

Slow going at Scarborough where Gloucestershire are 26-0 after 12 overs, having bowled out Yorkshire just before lunch for 456.

    Kent 244 v Lancs 202-1

This is looking ominous for Kent, although Luke Wells plays across the line to Beyers Swanepoel and misses.

Definitely some seam movement generated there.

The second ball is played late as Wells is squared up.

Swanepoel appeals for LBW fourth ball but that's a leg side ball which runs away for four leg byes and takes Lancashire past 200 in the 53rd.

  17. Postpublished at 14:18 British Summer Time 24 June

    Notts 360 v Somerset 79-2

The over rate is taking a hit as Haseeb Hameed asks umpires James Whitaker and Neil Mallender to take a second look at the ball.

It's only 24 overs in but the Notts skipper thinks it needs to be changed. The umpires don't agree.

  18. Postpublished at 14:16 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwks 164-6 v Hants 298

Another tight over by Muhammad Abbas as Jacob Bethell defends into the off side. Maiden over.

Jacob Bethell picks up the first runs in three overs as Keith Barker drops a tad short and the ball is pulled over mid wicket for four.

Not quite timed but still plenty of power and elevation in the shot.

  19. Postpublished at 14:13 British Summer Time 24 June

    Kent 244 v Lancs 197-1

Beyers Swanepoel has replaced Charlie Stobo in the Kent attack and his first ball is punched through cover point off the back foot by Josh Bohannon for four.

But his second over is more testing as Luke Wells is struck on the pad with a nip backer but the ball is doing a bit too much and it's not out.

Wells gets a single second ball and Josh Bohannon drives a half volley through mid off for four.

Bohannon subsequently defends and then ducks under a bouncer.

  20. wicket

WICKET Lawrence c Libby b Allison 175published at 14:13 British Summer Time 24 June

    Worcestershire v Surrey 490

Dan Lawrence's career-best innings comes to an end and Surrey are all out.

He flat-bats a bouncer from Ben Allison but Jake Libby is in position on the point boundary to take the catch.

Lawrence batted for five hours and 21 minutes, faced 223 balls and hit six sixes - five from successive balls - and 16 fours.

After a relatively quiet morning, he lifted the tempo in spectacular style and it's now up to Surrey's attack to try and press home the advantage.
