No hat-trick, but what a brilliant way to bring up 100 ODI wickets for Sophie Ecclestone. She has done so in just 63 innings and is the fastest woman to the milestone. A class act. The worrying thing? She is still only 25!

    Hat-trick ball coming.

Two in two! A beauty. Nashra Sandhu prods at one and Heather Knight safely takes the catch. A century of wickets in ODI cricket for our Soph.

That was always a review borne out of hope rather than expectation. But I think Umm-e-Hani knew that. Worth asking the question as this stage.

Looks like bat gets caught behind back pad. That's the first set of lines on UltraEdge.

I feel like that was pad first comfortably.

Personal view is that this will be 99 for Ecclestone. England feel so too. Kate Cross and Charlie Dean are having a little jig while we wait.

  8. Pakistan reviewpublished at 18:41 British Summer Time 29 May 2024

Sophie Ecclestone has 99 ODI wickets...or does she. Umm-e-Hani makes the "T" with bat and arm. We go upstairs.

  9. Pak 123-6published at 27 overs

    Target 303

Sophie Ecclestone is still looking for those two wickets. Will she get them in the next over? Stay tuned and I'll tell you.

Ebony is spot on (as ever). While England will go on to win this, Pakistan deserve plenty of claps for their approach. They will get better and better with time.

Really nice here, Pakistan are doing a good job.

With shots like that, you just feel like all they needed was one or two wickets in hand to make it a competitive game.

Brilliant from Aliya Riaz that. Facing the bowler many regard as the best in the business (ie Sophie Ecclestone), the Pakistan batter twice uses her feet to hit inside out boundaries.

Here is that Bouchier catch to dismiss Muneeba.

If you watch really, really closely, you can see Bouchier stick the kettle on before she takes the catch, I promise!

  14. Pak 114-6published at 25 overs

    Target 303

Half-way there...at least in terms of overs. England will be hoping to wrap this up well inside the allotted 50, though.

  15. Pak 114-6published at 24.4 overs

Buzzers! Charlie Dean does well to swoop and throw in one movement. However, her radar was a little off and Pakistan get a bonus pair of runs.

  16. Pak 110-6published at 24 overs

Time to take a look at Alice Capsey. This is her 15th ODI but she has only bowled 21 overs before now. Definitely a good time to chuck her the ball.

Really nice shot, they're using the pace of the English bowlers.

It means they don't have to smash it, they just use the momentum.

Now that is a shot from Aliya Riaz. I always find the cut shot aesthetically pleasing. No idea why. The later the better, please.

  19. Pak 104-6published at 23 overs

Aliya takes advantage of mid-off and mid-on being up in the circle. Nice stroke for four.

Another pause as Charlie Dean...ties Umm-e-Hani's shoelaces. Lovely technique there from Dean. Much more of that and she will be challenging Nat Sciver-Brunt for the Player of the Match award!
