Somerset captain Lewis Gregory has won the toss and has asked Surrey to bat first.

England's stand-in Test captain Ollie Pope and other Test players Jamie Smith and Dan Lawrence return to what is already a strong side despite white-ball absentees like Will Jacks and Sam Curran.

Surrey XI: Lawrence, Sibley, Evans, Pope, Smith (wk), Burns, T. Curran, Jordan (c), Clark, Steel, Worrall.

As for Somerset, there are five players from the team that beat Surrey on Thursday, added to by T20 specialists like Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Roelof van der Merwe.

There's no Tom Banton who suffered an ankle injury in their last County Championship game against Surrey.

Somerset XI: Rew (wk), Smeed, Kohler-Cadmore, Abell, Dickson, Gregory (c), Green, C Overton, Van der Merwe, Davey, Ball.

First up, we have a real heavyweight contest.

The defending T20 Champions, Somerset, against the reigning County Champions, Surrey, and the top two once again in this season's red-ball competition.

It's little over 30 hours since Somerset beat Surrey with a few minutes to spare at Taunton to blow the four-day title race apart.

And last year, the Cider Boys hammered the Oval outfit at the same stage on Finals Day.

Can Somerset claim a hat-trick of big-match wins over their star-studded opponents?

Sussex beat Somerset to win the T20 Blast in 2009 - is that an omen for today?

For the second straight year, we have a clean sweep of teams from the South Group contesting Finals Day.

While Somerset have recent pedigree, it is over a decade since Sussex's sole success.

Remarkably, considering their mastery of four-day stuff, Surrey have not won the T20 Blast since the inaugural competition back in 2003 - how cricket has changed since then!

For Gloucestershire, this is their fourth crack at Finals Day, and they have yet to go home victorious.

    Previous wins:

    2 - Somerset (2005, 2023)

    1 - Surrey (2003), Sussex (2009)

    0 - Gloucestershire

    Birmingham weather

Staging this on the second Saturday of September, leaves us open to the vagaries of frankly, autumnal weather.

However, the forecast looks promising though, and most importantly with almost no chance of rain! Hooray!

Some pleasant sunshine during the day, but spectators may need a coat for this evening's final.

The four teams have gathered at Edgbaston for this super-duper Saturday of T20 cricket.

The M5 and the trains from the south west will have been busy ferrying fans of Gloucestershire and Somerset, while it will have been the M1 or Euston station for those of a Surrey or Sussex persuasion.

For those not lucky enough to be there, here's how everyone can follow the action with us:

    11:00 - Somerset v Surrey

    14:10 - Mascot race

    14:30 - Gloucestershire v Sussex Sharks

    18:45 - FINAL

    22:00 - Champions decided!
