    Somerset 137-3 v Surrey 153-9

Take a bow Sean Dickson and you too James Rew who now has his half century in 38 balls.

This has been a quite magnificent partnership from the pair lifting Somerset from a dismal start.

  4. 'Rew playing first T20 Blast game'published at 13:46 British Summer Time 14 September

    Somerset 135-3 (target 154)

    Harry Everett
    BBC Sport from Edgbaston

These two were captain and vice captain during the One-Day Cup run to the final at Trent Bridge a week tomorrow do not forget.

They batted four and five through most of that competition so far, that same wicket partnership proving particularly fruitful on the biggest stage again today.

James Rew playing in his first ever T20 Blast game too, his only previous professional first team T20 being that game at Taunton vs the Sri Lanka development side two seasons back.

  5. Postpublished at 16 overs

    Somerset 135-3 v Surrey 153-9

Tom Curran has ball in hand. What can he do? Last throw of the dice for Surrey surely.

  6. Postpublished at 15.3 overs

    Somerset 134-3 v Surrey 153-9

Glum faces on the Surrey bench as they contemplate what to do tonight. They won't be in the final. James Rew and Sean Dickson are coasting.

Credit must go to these two but also to Somerset's bowlers who pegged back Surrey with the bat earlier.

The middle 10 of their innings went for just 59 runs which took the oopmh out of their effort.

  7. Postpublished at 13:40 British Summer Time 14 September

    Somerset 128-3 (target 154)

    Anthony Gibson

Ollie Pope ducked underneath that, I would have thought he could have made an effort to catch that at short extra cover.

  8. Postpublished at 15 overs

    Somerset 128-3 v Surrey 153-9

That is a terrific drive through extra cover from Sean Dickson, Jordan Clark just over-pitching and the Somerset batsman battering it to the rope.

He will want to stick around to take them over the line here and deserves to as well.

  9. 34 needed off 36 ballspublished at 14 overs

    Somerset 120-3 v Surrey 153-9

From 7-3 who would have thought?

James Rew and Sean Dickson deserve huge credit for hauling the chase back on track and now surely just need to stick together to bring it home.

A tight over from Tom Curran is broken with a clipped on-side effort for four.

Their partnership is up to 113 from 71 balls and they don't need to take any risks from here.

  10. Postpublished at 13 overs

    Somerset 113-3 v Surrey 153-9

That is a brilliant piece of fielding from Dan Lawrence to save a boundary, hooking the ball back from six inches off the rope behind his back.

But a bit of width from Chris Jordan is pounced on by Sean Dickson to restart the charge with a cut four.

And now Rew muscles another to the midwicket boundary to take 13 from the set.

Somerset need 41 from 42 at under a run a ball.

This fourth-wicket stand is worth 106.

Pulled away in the air but doesn't matter the, fielder watches it shoot by, James Rew gets a six.

The hundred up for Somerset now.

  12. 6 runs

Another max for Somersetpublished at 12 overs

    Somerset 100-3 v Surrey 153-9

Jordan Clark looked to have taken a little bit of the fizz from Somerset's chase with those first five balls but James Rew brings up the 100 with a six from the last.

Short and Rew leans into a huge pull for six over the midwicket rope.

  13. 'Surrey look a dejected unit suddenly'published at 13:24 British Summer Time 14 September

    Somerset 92-3 (target 154)

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

51 from just 31 deliveries, terrific piece of batting from Sean Dickson just when Somerset needed it most.

Brilliant, suddenly Somerset have started bossing the game in the last five overs.

Surrey look a dejected unit suddenly.

A scampered two brings up a superb half century for Dickson.

At 7-3 Somerset looked dead and buried but the Somerset man has posted 51 from 31 ball to drag them back into it.

62 needed from 52 deliveries now. Somerset favourites surely?!

  15. 18 off the overpublished at 11 overs

    Somerset 89-3 v Surrey 153-9

Now James Rew joins in with a swept four to finish an over from Steel which goes for 18.

This partnership is up to 82 now.

Are Somerset now favourites? Thumbs up for yes, thumbs down for no.

  16. 6 runs

Dickson smashing itpublished at 10.4 overs

    Somerset 86-3 v Surrey 153-9

Sean Dickson gets enough on that to clear the rope. Dom Sibley got hands on but he was going over the boundary anyway.

Good effort but a good shot from Dickson.

Dickson now goes again to send Cameron Steel over the boundary straight. A six six start to this over.

  17. Postpublished at 10 overs

    Somerset 71-3 v Surrey 153-9

Chris Jordan's concedes a boundary with his first ball but produces an excellent comeback with his next five to get out with just eight runs in the debit column.

At the halfway stage Somerset have rebuilt but still need 83 from 10 overs.

    Game on.

  18. Surrey one away from the all-rounderspublished at 13:18 British Summer Time 14 September

    Somerset 63-3 v Surrey 153-9

    Mark Davis
Former Somerset seamer on BBC Radio Somerset

These are the last pair before the all-rounders.

When was the last time your Lewis Gregory or even your Ben Green or Craig Overton got a 50 to win a T20 game?

They are batting down there for a reason, they are finishers.

I am very concerned if we see any of them come in with 10-12 overs to go.

  19. 'Rew hit it with venomous power'published at 13:14 British Summer Time 14 September

I thought it was going to be a catch, it was in the air for a long time, but Rew hit it with venomous power.

  20. Postpublished at 9 overs

    Somerset 63-3 v Surrey 153-9

Shout from Dan Lawrence for lbw against James Rew is roundly dimissed by everyone but the bowler with Somerset skipping through for a leg bye.

And Rew is down on one knee to sweep a big shot (just) over the rope for six. A four next ball, bullied through extra cover, brings up the 50 partnership for this Somerset pair.

These two are edging Somerset back into this game.
