  1. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 0.4 overs

    Healy b Prabodhani 4 (Aus 8-1)

    But now Sri Lanka strike!

Udeshika Prabodhani removes Australia captain Alyssa Healy with her fourth delivery, with the opener playing along the wrong line and seeing her stumps uprooted.

An early blow to Australia's hopes of an easy chase.

It could have been worse; Sri Lanka were 11-2 after 5 overs. But 93 isn't the best opportunity for the bowlers, especially with Australia having such a great run against Sri Lanka previously. Early wickets will be crucial.

  3. Aus 8-0published at 0.3 overs

    Target 94

    Let's get going then.

Sri Lanka open their bowling with left-arm seamer Udeshika Prabodhani, and Australia opener Beth Mooney tucks her to mid-on for a first-ball single.

Mooney and partner Alyssa Healy run an extra two from a wide, before Healy lashes a wide-ish delivery through point for four.

Winviz rates Sri Lanka's victory chances at 2%. That feels generous at this stage?!

    Thanks, Tim.

We're here for a good time, not for a long time.

    Sri Lanka 93-7

Well, this may not take too long but here to take you through Australia's innings is Mike Peter.

  7. Postpublished at 12:45 British Summer Time 5 October

Georgia Wareham made a tough-ish chance look very easy.

The Australia team come and get the job done; they are so focused on the task ahead and making sure they win each match. They don't really show much emotion out there at all.

Take a look at one of the most 'regulation' of regulation caught-and-bowled dismissals you'll see.

  10. SL 93-7published at 12:42 British Summer Time 5 October

The tailenders manage to squeeze out singles off the final three balls to end the innings in quiet fashion.

As Daniel has just said, Australia are all business as they stride off and they'll probably be irked by dropped chance and a few times where singles were nicked, but otherwise they've showed why they are the reigning champions.

It is impossible to not be in awe of this Australia team, but there is certainly a lack of frivolity that's for sure.

  12. SL 90-7published at 19.3 overs

Schutt's hat-trick chance goes away as Udeshika Prabodhani squirts the ball away for a single.

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 19.2 overs

    Sugandika Kumari c Mooney b Schutt 0 (SL 89-7)

Short and not very sweet - Sugandika Kumari pummels the ball to deep mid-wicket to set up a hat-trick chance for Schutt.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 19.1 overs

    Anushka Sanjeewani c Wareham b Schutt 16 (SL 89-6)

Anushka Sanjeewani's drops to her knee and sweeps Schutt, but Wareham doesn't have to move at short fine leg.

  15. SL 89-5published at 19 overs

Sri Lanka manage to nurdle five off the penultimate over, but a few big heaves didn't really connect and they could only eke out some singles.

I do really like how Anushka Sanjeewani has gone about her innings, she's really tried to put pressure back on this Australia team.

  17. SL 84-5published at 18 overs

Anushka Sanjeewani pats Sophie Molineux back to the bowler, who then hurls the ball back onto the stumps. Sri Lanka steal a quick single from the rebound to end a slightly better over for Sri Lanka.

  18. SL 81-5published at 17.1 overs

Anushka Sanjeewani advances down the track and powerfully lifts Molineux over mid off for four - just the fourth of the innings.

  19. SL 77-5published at 17 overs

Nilakshika Silva is still ticking over, a heave to deep square is stopped from hitting the sponge triangle thingy after the ball plugs a bit.

Can Sri Lanka at least get to 100 to set something of a target? With this Australian line-up, it's not likely to be enough.

  20. SL 71-5published at 15.3 overs

Keeper Anushka Sanjeewani is next and she's up and running quickly, two from her first and then a lovely sweep for four after getting outside off stump to Wareham off the next.
