I've got goosebumps, especially because this crowd is so big! It's a record attendance here.

These girls will remember this day for the rest of their lives, because it is such an important moment. They have done it at the home of cricket and in front of their home crowd. They are going to be absolutely buzzing!

Heather Knight said she was a bit nervous about lifting the trophy because of its size, but she manages it pretty comfortably as the Spirit celebrations begin on the stage.

There are more than 22,000 people packed in at Lord's which has been incredible to see, and they were treated to a fun, tense, thrilling game of cricket which went down to the wire with a new team's name on the trophy.

  3. 'We gave it everything'published at 17:20 British Summer Time 18 August

Tammy Beaumont speaking to BBC Two: "I'm so proud of the girls to fight that like they did.

"When I called the time out and they needed less than a run ball at that point, 30 balls left, it was theirs to lose really so the fact we fought and really gave it a good crack and took it to that last set and it was a pretty good shot to take it.

"Yeah, absolutely gutted, would have loved to have won today but I think we gave it everything at the end of the day and that's all you can ask for."

London Spirit captain Heather Knight on winning the title: "It was tense, wasn't it?! It feels so good. I'm an awful watcher, by the way. When I'm out there I'm fine, but I was feeling sick for probably the last 20 or 30 balls.

"I'm so pleased for the girls and the coaching staff. The way we have performed throughout the competition, different people at different times. Deepti made a bit of a meal of it in the end and kept us on tenterhooks when the six just went over! I'm just so delighted.

"We've won it in front of a massive record crowd as well, so it has been an awesome day. I'm a bit worried about the trophy lift actually, it's quite heavy so we'll see how I go!"

What a way to finish it! Deepti Sharma has been in such great form. It is sort of ironic that she just comes down the wicket and times it beautiful and whacks it for six.

A fantastic run chase from London Spirit! They were the deserved winners for my money.

Deepti Sharma on the winning moment: "It’s obviously a great feeling. If you hit a six and win the game, another great feeling so yeah, I’m really happy for this win.

"Honestly, I was not nervous, but yeah, I had the confidence that I can do it because from this tournament, that’s what I did."

First-time winners as well - London Spirit will be delighted with that!

They haven't really performed over the last three or four years in The Hundred but you can see their progression, they have been getting better and better.

Joyous celebrations from the London Spirit players, who needed four from the last three balls and it could've gone either way.

Crucial contributions from Georgia Redmayne with 34, Heather Knight's 24 and Dani Gibson's game-changing 22 from just nine balls before Deepti Sharma got them over the line amid some chaos.

Welsh Fire fought throughout, took it to the end, but just fell short.

Shabnim Ismail, I think she had an opportunity to pull off a speccy! But it just was not to be.

Deepti Sharma gets it over for six - what a great way to finish The Hundred. What a season it has been.

London Spirit absolutely deserve it. They were so great yesterday. They have been so smart today. Heather Knight and her team have got over the line!

  10. LONDON SPIRIT WIN THE HUNDREDpublished at 17:03 British Summer Time 18 August
    Breaking

Deepti Sharma wins it with a six!

She doesn't time it particularly well, and Shabnim Ismail is well-positioned on the boundary but she ends up parrying it over the ropes!

Welsh Fire's players sink to their knees, absolutely gutted. Ismail bowled so brilliantly, that is an unfortunate way for her Hundred to end as she walks off in tears.

But credit to London Spirit for holding their nerve in a tense, low-scoring thriller.

Welsh Fire are fighting here! They are throwing themselves around. A little bit of panic set in there for London Spirit and it was just like they had said to each other: "If you hit it, I'm running!"

Jess Jonassen has done well there. She went for just singles in those fives deliveries.

Freeborn run out (Elwiss) 3 (Spirit 110-6)

    Carnage!

More chaotic running, Freeborn is caught halfway down and is run out by yards.

But, Deepti Sharma keeps the strike. Charlie Dean joins her in the middle, and she could be the calm head that Spirit desperately need here.

Spirit need six runs from five balls.

Freya Davies has really had to battle for this wicket today. With one ball left of her allocation of 20 balls, she has got that breakthrough!

It couldn't have been at a better time - now it's all about the pressure, who is going to keep their cool?
