    It's the turn of the men's final between defending champions Oval Invincibles and 2021 winners Southern Brave.

    Both teams have made their way out on to the field and we are minutes away from getting going.

    Southern Brave bowler Tymal Mills on Saturday's Eliminator and the final: "Yeah, it was a great night, pretty mentally draining. We had to fight all the way through and then to take it to a Super Five, and then yeah, the boys did brilliantly to close it out, but yeah, didn't have much time to celebrate or enjoy it, it was straight to bed and then here we are tonight.

    "[We] got back to the hotel about midnight and then I managed to get to sleep about 1am, slept in, 10am I think I slept until."

    "We played well yesterday, especially the bowlers, we all bowled really well so we come into this game confident, we all know our bodies well, we're all pretty experienced players, we're probably one of the older teams in the tournament, so yeah, look, we know what we have to do to get ready for today so there's certainly no excuses."

    Southern Brave required a win in the Eliminator, via a Super Five, against Birmingham Phoenix to reach their second final in The Hundred men’s competition.

    In the group stages, they finished third, just a point behind both the Phoenix and group winners Oval Invincibles.

    As far as runs are concerned, no player in this year’s men’s edition of The Hundred has scored more runs than Brave captain James Vince, who is 95 clear of any other player.

    With the ball, Chris Jordan (14) and Tymal Mills (13) have taken the most wickets for them, with Mills becoming the first player in the history of The Hundred men’s competition to take 40 wickets in the competition.

    Oval Invincibles reached this year’s final, their second in as many years, after finishing top of the group stage.

    From their eight group matches, they recorded six wins and two defeats, finishing top and ahead of Birmingham Phoenix on net run rate.

    Jordan Cox, who has been named in England’s Test squad to face Sri Lanka after the end of The Hundred, is their leading run-scorer with 189 runs.

    In the Invincibles’ ranks is the competition’s two leading wicket-takers, with Sam Curran and Adam Zampa taking 17 each so far.

    Both the Oval Invincibles and Southern Brave go into this final as past winners.

    The Invincibles are defending champions, having beaten the Manchester Originals in last year’s final.

    In 2021, Southern Brave won the innaugral edition with victory over Birmingham Phoenix.

    Trent Rockets are the other side to have previously won the men’s competition, also beating the Originals, in 2022.

    "It is the same wicket we played on last year so hopefully we can get some runs on the board and play well as a side. We have done well both batting and bowling first all through the competition, so it's another great occasion and I'm looking forward to enjoying it."

    London Spirit batter and wicketkeeper Georgia Redmayne: "I was struggling. There was a long time between boundaries for me. I thought the way Gibbo (Danielle Gibson) come out and played, that really relieved the pressure.

    "I thought (Shabnim) Ismail bowled really well today and came on with those crunch wickets. Gibbo had that counter punch [which] was great and that helped me to have space later in the innings too."

    On whether she felt London Spirit were always in control: "No. I don't think you ever feel controlled in a chase in the final but honestly, what a moment for our team.

    "To do it in front of a home crowd, the biggest crowd at Lord's for a women's game, is such a special moment. I'm so proud of the girls."

    It is a good sign for the tournament in general that you are spreading the talent and making the tournament competitive.

    That is the whole point because the next step for a lot of these girls is the World Cup, so they needed that competition and to be put under pressure in these kind of moments to take that into the World Cup.
