It's a bit different, change of ends, but I don't mind it. It's fine if you can get a bit of grip, but when you turn it up the slope it's even better. I prefer the media end. I feel like I challenge both sides of the bat, I can turn one up and then skid one down...

  2. Fire 53-3published at 50 balls

A tidy end to that set from Charlie Dean, with just three more coming from the final four balls.

She's already bowled 15, only conceding eight runs so far.

At halfway, the Fire are 53-3, but have Jess Jonassen and Hayley Matthews out in the middle.

  3. Fire 50-3published at 46 balls

Charlie Dean's near-perfect start ends as Matthews manages to squirm one away for four at the third man boundary.

Matthews needed that, given the control Dean had on her.

  4. Fire 46-3published at 45 balls

Charlie Dean is having some fun against Hayley Matthews.

After a single for Jess Jonassen off the the first ball, Dean gets four at Matthews, with the West Indies all-rounder failing to score off any of them.

Heather Knight asks Dean if she wants five more at Matthews, to which Dean gladly accepts.

She's conceded just one off 10 so far.

  6. Fire 45-3published at 40 balls

A brilliant battle between bat and ball as Sarah Glenn looks to get Jess Jonassen out.

The penultimate ball of the set found the outside edge of the bat but with no slip fielder in place, runs are gifted to the Australian.

A five-run set in total and Charlie Dean returns to the attack next, having bowled a maiden set with her last five.

You get the feeling one of these two at the crease have got to get a score for the Fire. Just need to get a partnership going, these two.

  8. Fire 40-3published at 35 balls

Sarah Glenn is back in next, looking to build on the two wickets she took in her first set.

Jess Jonassen and Hayley Matthews are the two batters to watch for the Fire and limiting the damage they can do feels imperative for the Spirt and their hopes of a final victory.

  9. Fire 40-3published at 34 balls

Plenty of intent from Jess Jonassen and it brings good fortune.

Deepti Sharma goes fuller with that ball and Jonassen's big swing generates enough power for it to race away for four behind her off the bottom of the bat.

Tara Norris got things going with the wicket of Sophia Dunkley. You can watch that wicket back here.

  11. Fire 33-3published at 30 balls

One run and two wickets come from that first set from Sarah Glenn, putting the Spirit right on top in front of their home crowd.

They are sticking with spin and for the first time today, Deepti Sharma comes into the attack.

Well two in her first five, brilliant! Just traps Bryce right in front. It's quite a simple decision for the umpire and the Spirit, well, they're fighting back, exactly what you expect from them and the Fire are now under a huge amount of pressure.

    Another one!

Sarah Glenn's box of tricks are ripping through the Fire's top order, with Sarah Bryce trapped on her front pad by Glenn.

Two wickets in three balls from Glenn, an excellent start for the spinner.

Jess Jonassen in next for Fire.

It's Tara Norris with the catch. Tammy Beaumont just looking to get things going, looking to go down the ground. She won't be happy with that.

Sarah Glenn again in the wickets.

    Instant impact from Sarah Glenn!

Glenn needs just two balls to dismiss England team-mate and Fire captain Tammy Beaumont.

Driving towards mid-off, Beaumont can only pick out Tara Norris, who dives forward and low to take a brilliant catch.

  16. Fire 32-1published at 25 balls

Eva Gray starts off her first set of the day of the day putting pressure onto Tammy Beaumont after that maiden five balls from Charlie Dean.

Leading by example, captain Beaumont ends Gray's set with back-to-back fours. One through the off side, one through the leg side.

The Fire are 32-1 at the end of the powerplay and the Spirit are responding by bringing Sarah Glenn into the attack.

  17. Fire 22-1published at 20 balls

Charlie Dean starts off her afternoon with the ball in hand with a maiden set.

Five balls at Hayley Matthews and no runs as a result. Excellent for the Spirit.

A good catch in the end. Deepti Sharma just running to her right. Once you get the ball in the right area, there's certainly something there. Dunkley's just trying to launch it over that off-side. Good catch, a much-needed one for Spirit.

    Dunkley c Sharma b Norris 2 (Fire 22-1)

An early wicket for Tara Norris!

Norris goes wide of off stump with that ball and Sophia Dunkley takes a wild swipe at that.

A thick outside edge off the bat picks out Deepti Sharma at short third, who takes the catch.

  20. Fire 21-0published at 12 balls

Another fine tickle down the leg side from Tammy Beaumont squeezes four runs out of Tara Norris.

Safe to say the Spirit bowler is not best pleased with that outcome, considering the Fire have already scored a few early boundaries off her.
