Well I didn't even consider that issue...

    It looked leg-side-ish to me.

It's a very quick review from Ben Curran.

  4. Zimbabwe reviewpublished at 12:39 British Summer Time

After waiting an age, Kumar Dharamsena gives Ben Curran lbw to Shoaib Bashir!

I thought it was missing leg. I don't think Curran thinks he's hit it.

Even if Zimbabwe lose, to have two batsmen get hundreds, maybe more, they're not leaving here empty-handed.

Gus Atkinson has been off the field for a little while. He is back on now but is stretching out his right hamstring.

England's bowlers have looked a bit clueless. They're scratching their heads at the moment. It's perfect conditions, you'd think.

    Curran 30, Williams 86

One thing is for certain. Ben Curran is going to get a lot more bouncers sent has way after how he played that one from Tongue.

His brother Sam isn't the best against the short ball either. It must be something in their genes.

The short stuff seems to have unsettled Curran.

Almost a catch! It's a terrific effort. It was funny, poking shot from Curran. He's placed it into the leg side.

Ben Stokes put a huge effort in to get round from mid-on and put out a despairing hand. That was a brilliant effort.

  11. dropped catch

Curran dropped on 29published at 29.3 overs

Just as I say England don't look like taking a wicket, they drop a catch.

It's Ben Stokes diving one-handed to his left after mid-wicket after Ben Curran gets in a tangle playing a bouncer.

Stokes gets his fingertips to it but can't cling on. I think he thinks he could have caught it. Others wouldn't have got there.

  12. Zim 120-2published at 29 overs

    Curran 29, Williams 84

Zimbabwe are going at 4.74 runs per over this morning. England don't really look like getting a breakthrough.

That was a ghastly ball, a gift for Williams.

Sean Williams smashes away a loopy Bashir full toss. England are getting the run around!

  16. Zim 113-2published at 28.1 overs

Here's that Sean Williams reverse sweep for four again. This is turning into quite the knock.

  17. Zim 109-2published at 28 overs

    Curran 29, Williams 73

Ollie Pope, another who will know Ben Curran well from his Surrey days, is grinning under the lid as Josh Tongue whistles the ball past each of his ears. You'd think Pope would show some sympathy. It's not obvious if so.

  19. Zim 107-2published at 27 overs

Yet more cheers from the Zimbabwe supporters in the crowd greet the hundred partnership between Ben Curran and Sean Williams. Curran has dug in while Williams has played his shots.

It seems Joe Root's over was only for Josh Tongue to change ends. The Notts quick is going to bowl some short stuff.

Bashir's first delivery is reverse swept off middle stump by Sean Williams. It's risky but brings him four. He's into the 70s now and will have more than an eye on that fastest Zimbabwe century mark of 97 balls set by Brian Bennett yesterday.
