Harry Brook is the fifth batter and first Englishman to make 99 and 0 in a Test.

Pakistan's Babar Azam was the last - against Australia in Abu Dhabi 2018.

The arrogance of Brook. A youngster with huge talent but knowing only the 'Bazball' culture. Drop him until he's grown up enough to be a team player.

    Jeff, Brighton

After all the hard work from Duckett and Crawley adjusting to the scenario, Brook has completely let the side down there. Could easily have gone for two ducks, needs to show he has the ability to show restraint.

Harry Brook. A professional and a captain. Give your head wobble. What on earth was that shot!? Precarious game state just needing sensible play. Just when I think England have got some sense to balance the heave-ho with proper cricket.

    Reverse sweeping contest.

The problem with being a new captain is everyone thinks they are helping you by telling you what they think happened. Short leg was convinced.

Sometimes you have to trust your players, sometimes it's your own instinct.

Nervy times for England players and fans alike.

Will India check this? It was a really confident appeal for the catch.

    And another?

Ben Stokes attempts a reverse sweep and Jadeja's delivery pops up to be taken at short leg.

A massive appeal but then a bit of a conference - Shubman Gill is going to take a look, how could he not?

I'm absolutely blaming Rob in Guildford (15:44) for that wicket. That kind of hubris doesn't go unpunished.

I wonder if Ben Stokes had his kit on ready or not? But if there is one man you want walking out there, it's him.

No hat-trick for Shardul Thakur as Ben Stokes cracks the seamer through mid-wicket for three.

The England white-ball captain advances down the pitch trying to whip Shardul Thakur towards mid-wicket and manages to tickle to wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, who takes the ball down the leg side.

Thakur, who has barely bowled in this match, has taken two crucial wickets and is now on a hat-trick.

Out comes England captain Ben Stokes to face it.
