  1. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 88.3 overs

Haines lbw b Vaughan 141 (Sussex 298-3 lead by 391)

Just about straightened enough to pin Tom Haines in front of leg and end a fine innings from the Sussex man.

Coming round the wicket, off spinner Archie Vaughan has pitched it in line with leg and turned it a little back towards the stumps and Haines has missed a clip into the leg side.

Close but probably the right decision.

  2. Postpublished at 12:17 British Summer Time 13 April

    Lancs 183-5 v Northants 496

Keaton Jennings tucks into a leg side ball from Liam Guthrie, glancing it fine for four runs.

He gets a single off the fifth ball and drives leg spinner Calvin Harrison for one more to move on to 77.

Harrison is round the wicket to Luke Wells, who pushes the ball out into the covers for no run.

Just the one wicket so far for Northants today but Lancashire remain precariously placed, five down and more than 300 adrift.

  3. Postpublished at 12:16 British Summer Time 13 April

    Durham 387 & 10-0 v Warwickshire 325 - Durham lead by 72

Alex Lees and first innings centurion Ben McKinney have made a patient start to their seconds innings, picking up 10 runs from the opening six overs, with Vishwa Fernando and Ethan Bamber posing plenty of questions with the new ball.

The hosts advantage is up to 72 in the CLS sunshine.

    Surrey 253 & 175-2 v Hants 219

Liam Dawson is slightly back of a length to Jamie Smith, who goes back and drives into the off side but there's no run this time.

Dom Sibley advances to 71 with a single to the leg side off Brad Wheal.

Single to Jamie Smith, driving to deep cover on the up.

A play and a miss outside off from Dom Sibley and the ball hardly bounces at all.

  5. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 101.1 overs

    Snater lbw b Hutton 12 (Essex 350-8 lead by 3 runs v Notts 347)

Notts have their ninth wicket and maximum bonus bowling points after Shane Snater departs, playing across a straight one from Brett Hutton

Essex will be pleased enough with Snater's contribution though given he has helped edge them not only into the lead but also to a third batting bonus point.

And with just one wicket to go we have the prospect of a one innings shootout between these two well matched sides.

  6. Postpublished at 12:09 British Summer Time 13 April

    Lancs 177-5 v Northants 496

Liam Guthrie is having a bowl for the first time today.

The Aussie seamer drops short and Luke Wells pulls square for four.

Seven runs off the over in total.

Calvin Harrison is back on for the first time since completing his eighth over first up this morning.

A slip and a forward short leg come in and Keaton Jennings is forward to push gently into the off side.

A hint of grip and turn for the leg spinner.

Jennings gets a run fourth ball to long off. He's on 71.

Luke Wells drives the ball to extra cover where the ball is stopped by Raphy Weatherall.

  7. 'Sussex not making rapid progress'published at 12:06 British Summer Time 13 April

    Sussex 294 & 292-2 (lead by 385)

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Sussex are not making the rapid progress we thought they would.

Somerset are in no hurry in bowling their overs either.

The singles are coming along easy enough, but not the boundaries.

  8. Division Two updatepublished at 12:05 British Summer Time 13 April

    #bbccricket

Derbyshire's resilient innings is finally at an end.

From 139-6 chasing Leicestershire's 484, the visitors have posted 393, with Blair Tickner the last man out for 26. Martin Andersson's superb maiden century (101) has kept his side alive in this contest, trailing by just 91.

At Canterbury Kent have ousted Ben Geddes and Blake Cullen but Middlesex 272-8 in their second innings, with a lead of 276.

  9. Essex take the leadpublished at 100 overs

    Essex 349-8 (lead by 2 runs) v Notts 347

A confident clip off his legs from Sam Cook off the bowling of Dillon Pennington nudges Essex ahead in this game for the first time with the lead now two runs.

Shane Snater and Cook, are now up to 34 in a quickfire partnership which will annoy their hosts, particularly given they could have sent the former on his way with better catching.

  10. Postpublished at 12:04 British Summer Time 13 April

    Surrey 253 & 171-2 v Hants 219

Dom Sibley is forward to Liam Dawson, driving the left arm spinner through the off side but without piercing the field.

He'll get a run off the fifth ball, driven to long off to move to 69 not out.

  11. Postpublished at 12:01 British Summer Time 13 April

    Lancs 169-5 v Northants 496

Keaton Jennings drives Raphy Weatherall through point for a single to move to 68.

His wicket is surely vital for both teams.

Luke Wells ducks under a Weatherall bouncer and is flummoxed by the last ball which he dabs at and edges to deep third for four.

Seaming away on a length there.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 36.3 overs

    Wharton c Brookes b Waite 26 (Yorkshire 143-3 v Worcs - leading by 437)

What a stunning catch on the deep square leg rope from Ethan Brookes... running and diving to his right to claim the ball with two hands and denying James Wharton a six after he picked Matthew Waite up off his leg stump and tried to deposit him into the stands.

The good news for the Pears is the rapid 77-run partnership for the third wicket is broken... the bad news is the Yorkshire lead is 437 and Dawid Malan is next man in.

  13. Division Two updatepublished at 53 overs

    Glam 189-4 (trail by 357 runs) v Glocs 546

Kiran Carlson has been prised out by Glocs this morning as Glamorgan lose a fourth wicket and the long haul towards parity becomes that little bit longer.

Ajeet Singh Dale takes the wicket, his second of the innings, and Cameron Bancroft took the catch – a repeat of the combination and dismissal that sent the Glamorgan captain Sam Northeast on his way last night.

But Colin Ingram is going well enough as the set batter and has been joined by Ben Kellaway who has made a confident enough start.

Jamie Smith battingImage source, Rex Features

Left arm spinner Liam Dawson bowls a quicker ball to Jamie Smith, who steps back and taps the ball through extra cover for a single.

The Surrey lead has passed the 200-mark with eight wickets still in hand.

  15. Warwickshire all out in CLSpublished at 11:51 British Summer Time 13 April

Warwickshire 325 trail Durham by 62.

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

It took 40 minutes for Durham to get the first of the two Warwickshire wickets they needed to see off their first innings. And, then like buses, two came along at once.

Ethan Bamber was the first to go for 21, edging a ball from Matthew Potts to Colin Ackermann at second slip. That ended a partnership of 43 for the ninth wicket with Michael Booth.

Booth finished on 58* because moments after Bamber departed so too did Vishwa Fernando. He was bowled by debutant Brendan Doggett for one.

Doggett finished with 3-71 while Daniel Hogg took 3-60. Durham's lead is not massive at 62 runs, but they do have a slight advantage over the visitors.

  16. dropped catch

Snater dropped on 1published at 96.4 overs

    Essex 324-8 (trail by 23) v Notts 347

A big high swirler and Lyndon James spills it running back from the slip cordon off the bowling of Dillon Pennington.

James was slightly off balance when he got to it but did attempt with two hands. Snater scuttled through for the single.

    Northants celebrateImage source, Rex Features

    Breakthrough.

Raphy Weatherall gets his first wicket of Day Three as he offers a bit of width to Matty Hurst who drives it to backward point.

Brilliant catch from Ricardo Vasconcelos, back-pedalling and taking the ball over his eyeline.

Lancashire are in a pickle and Luke Wells is in next to try and rebuild the innings.

  18. Postpublished at 11:49 British Summer Time 13 April

    Surrey 253 & 165-2 v Hants 219

Jamie Smith is off the mark in style, stepping back and across to punch Brad Wheal through cover for four. Sublime shot.

Four more runs smacked square of the wicket.

  19. 'Surrey still in a good position'published at 11:49 British Summer Time 13 April

    Surrey 253 and 156-2 (lead by 190)

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

It's flicked Ollie Pope's glove slightly, he was trying to help it to fine leg but it hit him.

Pope has played very well, but he has to go with the partnership on 100.

It's Hampshire's first wicket in this session and Abbott's second of the innings.

Surrey are still in a very good position, but that wicket will give Hampshire a lift.

A genuine edge through the vacant slips off Adam Finch brings up a half-century for the nightwatcher Dom Bess, who has eight fours in his 72-ball vigil.

The hosts lead by 424 and are rattling along, adding 63 already this morning.
