  1. Postpublished at 11:47 British Summer Time 13 April

    Lancs 160-4 v Northants 496

Raphy Weatherall is on for his first over of the day and Matty Hurst moves to eight with a single to mid on.

Just a single from that over but Justin Broad takes a bit of tap at the other end with a brace of fours from Hurst, both pulled square.

JB nearly yorks Hurst with a bit of a toe-crusher swinging in late but Hurst digs it out.

  2. WARWICKSHIRE 325 ALL OUTpublished at 11:44 British Summer Time 13 April

    Durham 387 v Warwickshire 325

Brendan Doggett picks up his third wicket for his new side as he clips the bails of last-man Vishwa Fernando. Michael Booth is left high and dry on 58 not out.

Durham will begin their second innings ahead by 62 runs.

Slowly, slowly, then all at once for the hosts.

    Pope c Brown b Abbott 65 (Surrey 253 & 156-2 v Hants 219)

    Hampshire celebrateImage source, Rex Features

A deserved breakthrough for Kyle Abbott, who has bowled immaculately this morning.

However, this is a rare leg side ball from the bowler, which Ollie Pope has followed and feathered to keeper and Hampshire captain Ben Brown.

That was on an off stump line, seaming into leg.

Now Jamie Smith is going to have a bat.

  4. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 91.5 overs

    Bamber c Ackermann b Potts 21 (Durham v Warwickshire 324-9)

Matty Potts picks up a precious wicket as he finds the edge of Ethan Bamber's bat and Colin Ackermann takes a good low catch in the slips.

Bamber made a swashbuckling start this morning but departs for 21 with his side still 63 in arrears.

  5. wicket

    Clark c Rew b Davey 44 (Sussex 274-2 lead by 367 runs) v Somerset 201

Josh Davey celebratesImage source, Rex Features

Tom Clark didn't know whether to play or leave as Davey fires one just outside off stump, chose the former and did the latter.

He is gone as Somerset break the overnight partnership, James Rew taking a regulation catch after he nicks it behind.

  6. Postpublished at 11:39 British Summer Time 13 April

    Surrey 253 & 155-1 v Hants 219

Runs have certainly been tougher to come by this morning, even for Surrey.

Now Hampshire have brought their experienced left arm spinner Liam Dawson on to bowl.

Not much turn but good flight with a near immaculate line save for one leg stump ball tucked away by Dom Sibley for one.

  7. 'They'll be in control if they bat well'published at 11:38 British Summer Time 13 April

Warwickshire 322-8 (trail by 65 runs) v Durham

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

It's still a decent lead, but I keep looking at the scoreboard and watch it tick down.

Durham will be in control of things if they bat well, but they have allowed Warwickshire to score pretty easily this morning.

  8. wicket

    Thain lbw b O'Neill 33 (Essex 315-8 trail by 32 runs) v Notts 347

Noah Thain is outImage source, Rex Features

And Notts continue their fine start with the ball with a third in 12 deliveries as the other overnight Noah Thain not out departs lbw to Fergus O'Neill.

Thain had looked a little uncomfortable and there was no doubt at all about that one, squared up and hit on the back pad in front of middle.

  9. Postpublished at 11:34 British Summer Time 13 April

    Lancs 150-4 v Northants 496

Luke Procter bowls short to Matty Hurst, who takes the Red Rose county to 150 with a pull to fine leg, fielded by Justin Broad.

The 150 comes in 53.4 overs.

  10. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 92.4 overs

    Harmer c McCann b Pennington 0 (Essex 315-7 trail by 32) v Notts 347

    Notts celebrateImage source, Rex Features

Dillon Pennington, unlucky not to take a wicket in the previous over causing Noah Thain all sorts of bother, has continued the fine work by removing Simon Harmer without scoring.

Harmer is capable with the bat but is not known for confident starts and he has been undone by a perfect delivery at off stump which has left the pitch and given a straightforward catch to Freddie McCann at second slip.

  11. Tykes advantage passes 400published at 11:32 British Summer Time 13 April

    Yorkshire 456 & 115-2 v Worcs 162

The hosts have added 54 runs in the first half-hour at Headingley and Worcestershire are struggling for answers.

James Wharton has 17 from 14 balls and Dom Bess is up to 39.

The lead is 409 and the Pears are surely getting de ja vu from their trip to Taunton last week.

  12. Postpublished at 11:28 British Summer Time 13 April

    Surrey 253 & 150-1 v Hants 219

Umpires check the ballImage source, Rex Features

Surrey reach the innings 150 with a lovely clip through mid wicket for four by Ollie Pope off the bowling of Kyle Abbott.

We have a pause in play in the 43rd over of the innings as the ball has failed the "hoop test" and is going to be changed.

  13. Postpublished at 11:24 British Summer Time 13 April

    Lancs 146-4 v Northants 496

Justin Broad gets a ball to strike Keaton Jennings on the pad but the LBW shout is turned down.

A bit too high. Just a single off that over.

Luke Procter continues to bowl a tight off stump line with the occasional short ball and Jennings blocks into the off side.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 91.2 overs

    Critchley c Verreynne b O'Neill 52 (Essex 314-6 trail by 33) v Notts 347

A good maiden over from Dillon Pennington who had two good shouts for lbw turned down (both looking a touch leg side) before beating the bat twice had turned up the heat.

And now Fergus O'Neill has the breakthrough with the wicket they wanted, Matt Critchley edging behind.

That is a 10th wicket of the season for the Australian with two in this match and eight against Durham in the opening round.

  15. Postpublished at 11:22 British Summer Time 13 April

    Yorkshire 456 & 100-2 v Worcs 162

James Wharton (13) is racing along at better than a run a ball and Dom Bess has 28 as Yorkshire's lead swells to 394.

  16. Postpublished at 11:19 British Summer Time 13 April

    Surrey 253 & 140-1 v Hants 219

Kyle Abbott is bowling back of a length and Ollie Pope defends on the up down the ground.

Next up he tries a straight drive but hasn't timed it and the ball dribbles to Dom Sibley at the non-striker's end.

An attempted cut is picked up on the bounce at point.

Another maiden over. Feels like a different game on a cooler morning.

  17. Division Two updatepublished at 11:18 British Summer Time 13 April

    #bbccricket

Martin Andersson couldn't add to his overnight 101, falling to Logan van Beek who now has 4-91, but Blair Tickner and Jack Morley have moved to 354-9 to ensure a third batting bonus point for Derbyshire, while hosts Leicestershire now have maximum bowling points.

The Foxes lead is 130 with one wicket remaining.

  18. 'Notts need a wicket or two'published at 11:15 British Summer Time 13 April

Essex 313-5 (trail by 34 runs)

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

You feel Notts need a wicket or two with Essex on their tails now.

The batsmen have made good progress so far, no alarm for them yet.

Essex will feel the two wickets they lost last night were avoidable, but the partnership is up to 65 now, after they dominated the first session.

  19. 300 runs

300 up for Bearspublished at 11:14 British Summer Time 13 April

    Durham 387 v Warwickshire 300-8

A little dab towards point from Michael Booth off Matty Potts brings up the batting point for Warwickshire and takes him onto 54.

  20. Postpublished at 11:14 British Summer Time 13 April

    Lancs 144-4 v Northants 496

Northants captain Luke Procter takes over bowling duties from Calvin Harrison and his last ball is banged in about halfway down the track.

The ball doesn't bounce as much as Keaton Jennings might have expected and he aborts a pull shot. Maiden over.

At the other end, Justin Broad tries a short ball of his own halfway down the track and Matty Hurst pulls square for four.
