WICKETpublished at 12:55 British Summer Time 13 April

Lees lbw b Booth 32 (Durham 46-1, lead Warwickshire by 108)

Alex Lees doesn't like it, but he's been given out LBW and Michael Booth has the breakthrough for the Bears.

He thinks it's too high or maybe going down leg, and he might be right, but after an untroubled 53 ball stay, he departs from number 54.

Emilio Gay joins Ben McKinney in the middle.

Now then! George Bartlett is going to bowl some of his occasional off spin and Keaton Jennings moves to 96 with a front-footed drive through cover.

But Calvin Harrison gets the prize wicket in the following over!

    Outstanding catch from Saif Zaib!

The Lancashire captain goes forward, closes the face of the bat and absolutely hammers the ball to mid wicket on the front foot.

Somehow Zaib has taken a one-handed grab when the ball was passing his head.

    Tom Hartley is in next.

  3. Postpublished at 12:51 British Summer Time 13 April

    Surrey 253 & 214-2 v Hants 219

Liam Dawson is into his 19th over of the innings and has Dom Sibley in a spot of bother as he drives without quite getting to the pitch of the ball and edges just in front of slip.

    More frustration for Hampshire.

  4. Postpublished at 2 overs

    Notts 6-0 & 347 v Essex 367

That is a lovely shot from Ben Slater, leaning effortlessly into a full ball from Sam Cook and watching it race off the middle of his bat to the cover boundary.

That will make the Notts opener feel a little bit better about his lot after he was dismissed for a solitary run in the first innings and following on from 92 and 0 against Durham in round one.

  5. Division Two updatepublished at 12:46 British Summer Time 13 April

    #bbccricket

Leicestershire have made a blistering start to their second innings against Derbyshire.

Rehan Ahmed has 38 from 24 balls with eight fours and Sol Budinger has 20 at the other end as 60 runs come from the first eight overs.

    The Foxes lead by 150.

Middlesex are frustrating Kent at Canterbury with Zafar Gohar digging in for 43 to take his side to 295-9 in their second innings, a lead of 299. They were 131-5 at one stage.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:43 British Summer Time 13 April

    Wells c Broad b Harrison 20 (Lancs 207-6 v Northants 496)

Calvin Harrison strikes again and Northants are through to the tail.

A more than handy loan signing! 56 runs, two wickets and counting.

Another catch from Justin Broad, who also took a rocket to dislodge Marcus Harris on Saturday evening.

Luke Wells top edges a slog sweep. Justin Broad runs in and dives to take the catch on the leg side, just over the turf.

By George it's Balderson to bat next.

  7. 'Wickets are hard to come by'published at 12:43 British Summer Time 13 April

    Durham 387 & 40-0 (lead by 102 runs)

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Wickets are proving hard to come by.

No breakthrough yet for the Bears' bowlers.

After a cautious starts, Durham are picking up the scoring rate, if Warwickshire are chasing an average of four or five an over, then it could be quite difficult.

  8. Durham lead passes 100published at 12:41 British Summer Time 13 April

    Durham 387 & 40-0 v Warwickshire 325

Alex Lees departed for a duck in the opening over of this match but has settled in nicely in the second dig, driving pleasantly down the ground to send Ed Barnard to the rope and move to 29.

Ben McKinney has seven from 27 deliveries at the other end.

The lead is up to 102.

  9. Division Two updatepublished at 65 overs

    Glam 228-5 (trail by 318 runs) v Glocs 546

Glocs are halfway there now after Ben Kellaway has gone, bowled by Zaman Ahkter, to leave Glamorgan five down as they try to get somewhere close to a huge first innings total.

This is a tough watch for Glamorgan fans with damage limitation very much the order of the day.

  10. Frustration for Northantspublished at 12:40 British Summer Time 13 April

    Lancs 207-5 v Northants 496

A full delivery from Calvin Harrison. Luke Wells drives...

Is that caught and bowled or a bump ball?

The umpires deliberate and it is not out. Luke Wells is on 20.

Wells defends a quicker ball and taps the last ball of the over safely to short leg.

In the next over Keaton Jennings edges a flashing drive a whisker past first slip for four - and that takes him to 92.

  11. Postpublished at 12:36 British Summer Time 13 April

    Surrey 253 & 200-2 v Hants 219

Jamie Smith is back and across to Liam Dawson, driving the spinner through cover for one to bring up the Surrey 200 in the 60th over.

    The lead is 234.

  12. 'Essex will be pleased at their position'published at 12:35 British Summer Time 13 April

    Notts 347 v Essex 367

    Paul Newton
    BBC Essex sport

It's the end of the Essex innings.

Having lost those early three wickets, Essex will be pleased at the position they find themselves in, leading by 20 runs.

It was a nice partnership between Jamie Porter and Sam Cook to end the innings.

  13. Postpublished at 12:34 British Summer Time 13 April

    Lancs 201-5 v Northants 496

Lovely shot by Keaton Jennings, opening the face to steer a ball from Raphy Weatherall past gully for four.

Four more guided to deep third.

    That's the Lancashire 200 in 68.4 overs.

The Lancashire captain has been near faultless today.

  14. 6 runs

Jamie Smith just over the linepublished at 12:32 British Summer Time 13 April

    Surrey 253 & 198-2 v Hants 219

Dom Sibley is forward to Sonny Baker, driving into the off side for one and he's now 76 not out.

A slice of luck for Jamie Smith who fences from the crease, edging just short of a lone first slip.

He drives a wider off side ball to cover for two.

A short ball is pulled to deep mid wicket... just over Ali Orr!

He got a hand to it but the ball tips over the rope for six.

  15. wicket

ESSEX 367 ALL OUTpublished at 105.4 overs

    Cook c Haynes b Hutton 26 (Essex 367 lead by 20 runs v Notts 347)

Brett Hutton celebratesImage source, Rex Features

    And that is that.

Sam Cook departs, Jack Haynes taking the catch to give Brett Hutton a figures of 3-61, and his side a lead of 20.

Notts will be well pleased with a morning which has yielded 66-5 to end an Essex reply which had threatened to outstrip their first innings effort.

But they will leave the field casting a glance or two at overheads which have given the Essex batsmen a bother or two this morning with their second innings a few minutes away.

  16. 'Yorkshire have a balanced bowling attack'published at 12:29 British Summer Time 13 April

    Yorkshire 456 & 177-3 (lead by 470)

    Jonathan Doidge
    BBC Radio Leeds cricket commentator

Dom Bess has been passed fit to continue here after a blow to the head.

The way Yorkshire are set up, they have a good balanced attack with plenty of spin.

It's a rarity to get more than one spinner in the side in these sort of grounds.

I think there will be a lot of people excited in seeing that.

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 89.2 overs

    Alsop c Rew b Leach 11 (Sussex 300-4 lead by 393)

A third Tom of the morning goes with Tom Alsop following Tom Clark and Tom Haines for 11.

That is fine work from James Rew behind the stumps, staying in line wiht a feather off the edge after Jack Leach floated one outside off stump.

Sussex had just reached the 300 mark and have stretched the lead to 393.

  18. 6 runs

All the way for Wellspublished at 12:25 British Summer Time 13 April

    Lancs 191-5 v Northants 496

    Shot!

Luke Wells is down the track to Calvin Harrison, fetching the ball from outside off stump to mow it over wide long on for six.

    He moves to 18.

  19. Postpublished at 12:22 British Summer Time 13 April

    Surrey 253 & 186-2 v Hants 219

Jamie Smith battingImage source, Getty Images

Sonny Baker is coming on to bowl his sixth over of the innings.

Shot! Jamie Smith is on the back foot, flaying the ball through extra cover for four runs.

He tries to repeat the shot but doesn't connect properly, taking one hand off the bat as the ball plops down into the popping crease.

He gets hold of the fifth ball though, driving two to cover point and that's a good chase and stop by Nick Gubbins.

A bottom-edged leg side pull brings Smith two more runs to take him to 23 not out.

  20. Postpublished at 12:22 British Summer Time 13 April

    Yorkshire 456 & 61-1 v Worcs 162

Dom Bess will need to be assessed after taking a blow on the side of the helmet from Kiwi quick Jacob Duffy, who is no slouch.

The hosts have added 113 for the loss of two wickets this morning, with Pears fielders riding the ropes for the most part.

Bess has 71* with Dawid Malan 17* after his first innings 98.

The Tykes lead by 468 and Worcestershire have no answer, just waiting for the declaration... which might come with a lead of 600+ again at this rate.
