It's not been the year Hampshire would have wanted but nonetheless there's been three Hampshire finals that they've reached.

It's learning curves and things that they will take to think about for next year. They will come back stronger, I have no doubt.

It was a phenomenal game. To go down to the final few balls, it was gripping and sometimes that's what you want from a final, you want to keep everyone hanging on.

  3. Double delight for Lancs, Hampshire miss out againpublished at 17:30 BST 21 September

Lancs (289-4) beat Hants (288-6) by six wickets

A successful season for Lancashire's women, who add the One-Day Cup to the County Cup already safely stowed in the Old Trafford trophy cabinet.

But a tough one for Hampshire to take as a club - their men's team finished runners-up in both white-ball trophies and now the women, despite topping the table in this year's One-Day Cup, have missed out on the silverware.

Congratulations to Lancashire Women, they've done a great job here, they've paced it beautifully and Gaby Lewis - wow, 141 from 143 deliveries.

    Lancashire win the One-Day Cup!

Ailsa Lister punches Freya Davies for a single on the leg side and that's victory sealed with nine balls unused.

Lister finishes 17 not out from 14 balls - and what a knock from her partner Gaby Lewis, whose 141 not out is her highest List-A score and enabled Lancashire to chase down the target.

  9. Postpublished at 47.3 overs

    Hants v Lancs 278-4 (target 289)

If Gaby Lewis bats right through, Lancashire surely win this.

She slams a Georgia Adams full toss to the leg-side boundary and follows it with another four over midwicket!

    They need 11 from 15.

  10. 'A fantastic final'published at 17:13 BST 21 September

What a fantastic final we've had on our hands. It's ebbed and flowed and it's been tight all the time.

  11. Postpublished at 47 overs

    Hants v Lancs 268-4 (target 289)

Gaby Lewis picks up two from a top-edged sweep, but the over goes for just six.

Bex Tyson to continue and her first three balls bring just two runs. Lancashire want 25 from 21.

  13. Postpublished at 46 overs

    Hants v Lancs 262-4 (target 289)

Georgia Adams allocates herself the 46th over and Gaby Lewis, with deft footwork again, makes room to dispatch her to the cover boundary.

Just two more from the over and Lancashire want 27 from 24 balls.

  14. 'A hair's width to differentiate teams'published at 17:08 BST 21 September

    Hants v Lancs 256-4 (target 289)

    Amelia Clark

At the moment it's about a hair's width to differentiate these two teams.

  15. 250 runs

250 up for Lancashirepublished at 45 overs

    Hants v Lancs 256-4 (target 289)

Ailsa Lister swings at Mary Taylor and gets a thick edge which, in the absence of a slip, flies to the boundary.

Then Gaby Lewis weighs in with a sweep shot that sails for four more - and suddenly Lancashire have got the equation down to 33 needed from 30.

  16. Postpublished at 44 overs

    Hants v Lancs 244-4 (target 289)

Ailsa Lister, the new batter, is off the mark with a single first ball and Lancashire need 45 from 36 balls.

    Another twist to this final?

  19. 'Not an easy chance but it is a chance'published at 17:00 BST 21 September

    Hants v Lancs 238-3 (target 289)

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire commentator

It was a sharp chance, it was on the sweep so Mary Taylor would have seen it late.

Coming off the bat and coming out of the sunlight, that's not an easy chance but it is a chance.

  20. dropped catch

    Dropped catchpublished at 43 overs

    Hants v Lancs 238-3 (target 289)

A life for Gaby Lewis as she sweeps Bex Tyson and Mary Taylor puts it down at backward square.

Lewis had just unfurled a classy shot to Tyson's previous ball, stepping outside leg stump and caressing the ball over cover for four.

Nine from the over and Lancashire now want 51 from the last seven.
